Who Owns That dress.......You do! Fun Bridal Portraits and Scenic Locations Around Atlanta
This week we are going to discuss how you can still plan a socially distanced, professional photo shoot during the pandemic. You can still get married and have a small ceremony with just a few guests. You will be just as married as anyone else out there. That shouldn’t stop you from having some beautiful wedding photos with your wedding dress and husband that you can look back on.
This week I did a couple of photo shoots with brides who wanted to have a few photos of them in their wedding dress. This is such a fun thing to do! You are not pressured by the time crunch of a wedding, where you may feel self conscious with all your guests waiting on you. It is your time, so you can relax and not feel too rushed. We can all agree that your best photos are when you are relaxed.
The other thing about going this route is that you get to pick the time and location. You aren’t tied down to a wedding venue or a church. This weekend we choose a very natural setting at a historic farm outside of Atlanta. This is a great spot because you have the open fields and historic house as a back drop for your photos.
If you have been following me on social media, you will also know that I like shooting in the morning for a couple of reasons. The first reason is that the light is awesome, which really helps make a great photo. The other thing is the fact that we live in Georgia and, my friend, it is HOT in Georgia! In the morning it is cooler so you don’t sweat or get overheated. No one looks good when they sweat! The third thing I like about shooting in the morning is that you aren’t rushed against a sunset. We can shoot for as long as you please and don’t have to worry about the sun going down.
That being said, it’s definitely worth it to think outside the box on bridal portraits! They don’t have to be those stiff poses that you parents and grandparents had. They can be fun portraits that really capture your personality! You get to express yourself and be free, which is exactly what you want when creating a memory like this!
Thank you so much for visiting this Atlanta wedding photographer’s blog. Please go to my contact page and drop me a line. I would love to hear from you!
Thanks again!
David
