hi anon! i’m putting this under the cut because it got very long. under the cut there are 189 female faceclaims 35 and up that have at least one gif hunt and gif icons in the tags, and 206 male faceclaims 35 and up that have at least one gif hunt and gif icons in the tags. i hope this helps you out!

Something from the next chapter of I’m Not an Angel, Baby:

“Weird,” Cass said, “this is Brotherhood level stuff.”

“But they wouldn’t do this,” Veronica added quickly, “We buy our groceries.”

“I know, that’s what makes this weird,” Cass sighed. She stayed crouching, staring off into the distance. Bridget could practically see the gears in her head turning.

She stood, “I’ve got a hunch as to who did this. Not many people have access to this level of energy weapons, but I want to visit one more site. Hopefully we can find actual proof there.”

Bridget placed a hand on her shoulder, “We will. We need to prevent this from happening to other people.”

Claudia: Oh, I met MacCready in a bar when I hired him.

Amelia: Butch and I grew up together in the Vault.

Slow dancing! I’d like to see how you’d write up all of em

For Claudia and Bridget it’s set in the future in comparison of where they are in their stories as of right now. Claudia’s is the longest, because it may or may not be based on my own experience.

Amelia:

Amelia’s eyebrows were knit together in focus. Lucas Simms had asked her to repair Deputy Weld, and she had agreed without seeing how bad the damage was first. It turns out the damage was pretty extensive, but she was up for a challenge.

After about three hours of work Butch sat next to her. She had her work spread out on the coffee table as she sat on the ground.

He snaked his arm around her waist, hand settling on her hip. He scooted close to her so that he was almost draped over her. Pressing a kiss to her head, he said, “It’s been three hours, ‘Melia. Don’t you think you should take a break?”

“No, I have to get this done.”

“There isn’t a deadline, Nosebleed,” he chuckled, “take a break.”

“I don’t want to overwork Simms.”

“So you’re overworking yourself?”

She sighed. He had a point. She looked at him, “What were you thinking?”

He stood. He held out his hand for her to take, “Dance with me.”

She rolled her eyes, but she smiled as she took his hand. He took her hands and placed them on his shoulders, as he wrapped his arms around her waist. She realized that the radio was playing already. He hummed along to Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall. She quickly relaxed into his arms. She would have never have guessed the safest and calmest she would feel would be in his arms.

Bridget:

Bridget pushed her glasses up her nose nervously as she walked into the Aces. Benny had invited her for a date night there. To say their relationship had a rocky start was an understatement.

When she walked in she was surprised to see that it was empty with the exception of Benny who was leaning against the stage, some performers, and a bartender. 

“Hey Doll,” he greeted straightening up. He looked almost as nervous as she felt.

“Hey, Benny. Why is the place empty?” she asked raising an eyebrow at him.

“I wanted to make date night special, so I made sure the place was empty for the night with the exception of some performers,” he explained, “I’ve got a lot to make up for, and a nice night certainly doesn’t hurt.”

“Fair enough.”

“Speaking of which,” he turned towards the stage, “You can start now.”

The man playing the drums nodded, and with a countdown they started playing.

“Care to dance?” Benny asked holding out his hand.

She took it, and allowed him to guide her. He placed her right hand on his shoulder, and his left on her waist. Together they swayed to the music. The way he handled her gently was a reminder of how far he had come.

Claudia:

Claudia stood where the hallway opened up to the kitchen and living room in her house in Sanctuary. She tapped her fingers on the stack of photos that had somehow survived the war. She had finally gathered the courage to look at them, but she didn’t want to do it alone. 

“Hey, R.J?” she asked.

MacCready, who was sitting on the couch, looked up, “Yeah?”

“You mind looking through some old photos with me?”

“Of you?”

She nodded.

“Yeah, yeah,” he nodded before scooting over to make some room for her on the couch. She sat next to him, and spread the pictures out on the table in front of them. It was hard to look at them, so she let him pick which one to focus on first.

He picked up her prom photo like it was the most delicate thing in the world. She waited silently as he studied the picture. She had changed a lot since it was taken. Mentally and physically. Though it was styled, her hair was down to her waist. Thick glasses sat on her nose. She looked softer than she did now.

“Was this really you?” he asked looking at her.

“Yeah. A long time ago. Literally.”

“When was this?”

“I was seventeen when this picture was taken. It was for prom.”

He raised an eyebrow at her, “Prom?”

She was quiet for a moment as she thought about how to explain it, “It was like a party of sorts, for teenagers. Usually, boys would ask girls to go with them, and they would spend the whole night dancing.”

“Why are you alone?”

“No one asked me.”

“Does that mean you had no one to dance with?”

“Yeah, but it didn’t really matter all that much until the slow dance, but I left before that. Didn’t want to embarrass myself,” she laughed nervously. 

Silence fell between them again, with the exception of the radio playing in the background. One More Tomorrow played.

“We... we could dance. If you want,” he suggested, “Travis is playing the right song.”

She blushed. She hadn’t been expecting that.

“I mean, sure.”

She saw him swallow as he nodded. He stood, and offered hi hand to help her stand. He guided her to the other side of the table. He placed his hands firmly on her waist, as she moved her hands to his shoulders. They swayed together.

Eventually they moved closer to each other so they were basically holding each other. She didn’t complain. She had to bury her face in his chest to keep from crying. It made her feel more than she was anticipating, but the feel of his body close to hers kept the negative feelings away.

My fics

Here are synopses of my two main fics so far.

In It For The Long Haul:

This fic follows 22 year-old Claudia Flynn, the Sole Survivor, as she navigates the wasteland, and tries to find the infant son of her neighbors. New to the area she finds herself getting lost. She hires a mercenary, MacCready, to help her find her way, and to watch her back as she fulfills her Minutemen duties. They become quick friends, and a relationship slowly blooms. They bond over helping each other through their troubles and hardships. Their day to day lives as well as their biggest moments are explored. There is an alternating POV in the third person between the two.

I’m Not an Angel, Baby

This fic follows a courier named Bridget O’Donoghue. After being attacked by a group of men she is set on finding the answers behind the attack. She ends up becoming heavily involved in the struggle for power in the Mojave Wasteland, and ends up changing the world around her for the better in the process, gaining her the title of “The Angel of the Wastes.” Benny, the man who attacked her, finds himself confused by her repeated lack of desire of revenge, despite having every opportunity to get it. Intrigued by her actions he finds himself changing along with the wastes, although, who’s fault is unclear. There is an alternating POV in the third person between the two.

Amelia: Anger. She’s mad at the Enclave. She’s mad at the Brotherhood. She’s mad at the Vault residents. She’s mad at that asshole who made the fire ants. She’s mad at everyone who hurts innocent people. She’s mad at the world.

Bridget: Exhaustion. She’s tired from the long days on the road. She’s tired of constantly worrying if she’ll live to see the next day. She’s tired of being taken advantage of. She’s tired of conflict. She’s tired of worrying about groups like the Legion, the Fiends, and the Powder Gangers. She’s tired of the world she knows.

Claudia: Sorrow. She’s sad for the people she lost. She’s sad for the pain her brother has been through. She’s sad for the victims of the Institute and their loved ones. She’s sad for the Quincy survivors. She’s sad for all of the people who have lived the hard, horrible lives that are likely to happen in the wastes. She’s sad for the world she once knew.

I finally made Bridget in New Vegas. I don’t know why it took so long. The default woman looks a lot like her, though, since it’s the character creator she’s not wearing her glasses.

Amelia: Disagreeing with almost everything the Brotherhood does, wishing they would go about things differently, and wishing there had been another option

Bridget: Disagreeing with the leadership of many of the bigger groups, and wishing she had the resources to make going independent a viable option
