Another Sunday Gunday! Brownells Customer Michael had this to say about his latest build! "All my guns have a special meaning to me. My latest is my M16A1 clone I put together from the Brownells Retro line. I love the triangular handguards and shorter stock of the A1. It reminds me of all my favorite action films from the 80's."

Brownells customer Rob Dare discusses his rifle on Sunday Gunday "My favorite rifle is a Bulgarian SLR 101s in 7.62x39. A top-tier AKM rifle with a milled receiver, it’s like a short, semiautomatic RPK. I like this iconic rifle because of its history, durability, reliability and excellent combat effectiveness. Coming from an Infantry background I have faced this weapon in person. Any weapon used against me I'd like to own. I live in Montana where the winter can get to -33 degrees, and the AKM was made for those kinds of extreme conditions. The AKM is easy to maintain and field strip and can easily hit 18” targets at 300m if you do your part. I have installed rear tritium night sights, an RPK stock, CMR 1-4x24 scope, SRVV brake and a Bakelite 30rd magazine."

A wonderful Sunday Gunday story from Brownells Customer Wayne Keech "It took a long time, but I can now carry my Daewoo DR 200 on all my outdoor adventures. It is a very reliable firearm. My best friend bought it for me in 1993 at a gun show in Fayetteville, NC. In 1995 it was stolen. Six years later the Pitt County Sheriff's Department picked it up and put it into evidence. Ten years after that, I was finally notified they had something that might belong to me. I contacted them and got my rifle back – 16 years lost, and then returned."

Brownells Customer Feliciano De Leon talks about this Browning on Sunday gunday! "My first and favorite gun has to be our 12 gauge Browning BPS.  A true friend of mine we call Uncle Bob sold me the shotgun to help commemorate Andrew, my first and only son out of 5 children. Andrew was around 4 years old at the time, and he’s 14 now. The Browning is still NIB, just like the day I bought it. Awesome memories!"

This week's Sunday Gunday features Brownells own Seth B! "When I was younger, I discovered that I loved to shoot trap. Unfortunately, I was terrible at it until given the opportunity to shoot a friend's Ithaca 37 in 20 gauge. Almost instantly, my scores improved tremendously. Now I know that the improvement could be due to many different reasons, but I kept my eyes open for a deal on a Model 37. I found one at a gun show, but it was in rough shape – partially painted, with rust under the paint. The stock also had water stains. Despite its bad condition, I bought it and set about completely refinishing it.

I stained and finished the stock while also removing all of the old metal finish. I then had Paul Jacobson at Jacobson's Gun Center in Story City, IA, do the final metal prep and blue it. These days, the Ithaca comes out on special occasions during pheasant season and I couldn't be happier with it."
