I love the constant rivalry that bruno has going on in the sr verse. Like sr reader’s respect and admiration plus sr’s love bc he awakened her puts him on a inevitable pedestal the others cant really dream of. Abbachio wants to be mad at him but also respects him so much he can’t even argue that bruno has done a LOT for u. Fugo being being ur roommate but u were living w bruno way before u met. Narancia and Mista give more boyfriend vibes compared to Bruno’s husband vibes. Giorno is as cool and collected as Bruno but Bruno was always your precious capo even after Giorno gets upgraded to boss. Just ur sheer adoration for bruno is definitely way different than your love for the others. Like he housed u, saved u, and awakened ur stand and hes lowkey arrogant that if anything at least he can say he cared for u a way no one else has even touched. why did reading this make me emotional wtf... i bestow upon you a bachelors degree in scarlet ribbons lore ... SR reader’s relationship with bruno is honestly one of my favorite relationship dynamics that i’ve ever written. i have a few themes that i go for when writing the different relationships with the boys, but the barely suppressed yearning that bruno has for SR reader is hard to top. 

he’s cognizant of his sway over you — he’s your leader, the one who threw you a lifeline when you were drowning — yet he feels he can’t pursue you with a clear conscience because of this. what if you feel pressured into reciprocating his advances due to all that he’s done for you in the past? he knows you well enough to see your inclination toward making everyone happy, even at the cost of yourself... this makes you all the more vulnerable to manipulation if done right. it stresses the man out. he feels you’re on more equal footing with the others, no matter how much it pains him to admit that. he’d literally never forgive himself if he felt he was taking advantage of you in any way. hence his hesitation to pursue you romantically. it’s tragically ironic. your admiration for him is a blessing and a curse, what gives him hope that he might have a chance yet births apprehension he’s doing something he shouldn’t. 

you’re right about SR reader having a different type of love for bruno though htjkemgrw i noticed that she tends to mention him very often, even in situations with the other boys. he lives in her head rent free regardless of if it’s a route where she holds romantic or platonic feelings for him. 

bucciarati, looking at a polaroid of SR reader he keeps in his wallet that always makes me smile whenever he sees it: i just think she’s neat. in a professional capacity though. strictly professional.
