do you guys ever go to bed and suddenly have "For the first time in my life, in my professional career, he grasped my hand, and squeezed it tight. We stepped onto the boat." just run through your head on repeat at 100000000 miles an hour.

Because like!!! That tells you so much!!!!

it shows an example of what their relationship is and has been, it shows a little glimpse at Brutus' previous life, it shows how their relationship is actively growing and changing. I mean!

such a small motion of care and love. and it comes right after Brutus says what they're doing is real scary.

and for Kane to be the one to initiate that???? Kane, who I certainly would not think of as an affectionate person, taking his partner's hand for a moment as a form of reassurance? for the first time in that partner's life? and in the middle of this town they've been stuck in for a year (that's felt much longer & shorter at the same time) right before they host a funeral for a dying god???

For his choice to provide unprompted reassurance and affection for the first time in this way, after all the time shenanigans and time shenanigan-related trauma, right before they do something They Have Not Done Before, in a place that's so strange and surrealist. I just mean. like. Ow.

Simple, small shows of love, between friends, business partners, life partners, just straight up partners, qprs, idk it just makes me feel a certain way.

I get the same feeling from the "Despite being bleeding and bruised, Mr. Feels looked hurt for the first time."

I don't really have a word to define their relationship and honestly I don't want one, I love ambiguous relationships so much.

And I love that in s3 it's not all magically fixed, they're still annoyed at each other, Brutus is glad that Kane hasn't wanted him out of the flat.

I wasn’t ready for a city without Jenny, It seemed greyer, colder. I wasn’t ready to go back to the offices either. I eventually found it folded under a seat cushion. I wore it all winter before losing it in the spring.
