What if a new version of Sailor Moon S where the witches 5 are legit grad students and they are aliens from Tau and their specific fields are their theme for their plans. EG Tellulu is not just plant themed but her plots attack the local flora because her thesis is based around getting Tau flora to thrive here.

Alternatively I would enjoy a “new” anime that was the witches 5 as a workplace sitcom with the numbers filed off, and also the above adjustment.

Mimette social sciences/social media influencer spreading positive sentiment for the Mugen Integrated School System (it’s totally work omg u guys don’t understand longitudinal studies show…)

They can affect the area around them creating a bubble of distorted language or distorted time (superimposing earlier events on now, basically) and combine into one purple witch and it’s great

Kaori Nite is the head of the math department and Souichi Tomoe’s peer, not secretary. Both because that makes his seduction into the dark side better for me- she appeals to his intellect and his desire to save Hotaru, not just his 🍆 ego- and because there’s the number sub theme with mistress 9, pharaoh 90, each witch having a power level, etc. it implies Tau are a very number forward culture

Concept: Tauians as evil sexy Vulcans. Kaori is a brainwashed Sailor Romulan? Too far.

This was an idea I had for a while, about the Amazon Trio, post-redemption, becoming Helios' guardians, hence the similar outfit (kind of like the Shitennou with Endymion). You could call them the "Elysion Trio" (tho I also wanted to make them a quartet with Helios and refer to them as the "Four Beasts", a similar myth to the Shitennou one).

I first met Hotaru in my last year of college. After a week hunched over an unfinished thesis and having migraines every day, I would watch Sailor Moon S for comfort, and Hotaru was who I looked forward to seeing most.

I saw Hotaru try to leave her prison of a home, and every time, it seemed to me she was punished by her body. First she would suffer severe pain, and then seizures would knock her unconscious. At the time, I viewed myself as at war with my body, a war that had lasted since I was a child and a war I was constantly losing. I would come home every day and lie in bed in extreme pain from migraines, socially isolated because my unhealthy coping mechanisms for the pain would drive friends away. So seeing Hotaru begin to thrive, making friends and leaving her house, gave me hope that I would too be able to overcome my disability.

This hope made her fate all the more shocking. This ending for her made me go back and rethink much of how Usagi and Chibiusa treated her–were they the friends Hotaru needed? Or just another savior misunderstanding her needs?
