The process of recruiting people was tricky, you decided. Especially without the assistance of a whole team or management behind your back. You had many friends, no secrets there. Male and female idols alike from numerous groups in the industry. 

But the condition had been ‘star studded’ to the point that would get the whole industry and tabloids talking. So you were forced to start ranking your friends on a popularity poll. 

And as much as you tried to be objective and not a rude friend, the end result had been obvious before you even started researching. Your most famous friends were at the end of the line; BTS. 

Now you were in the position of how to ask two of your boyfriend’s groupmates to perform a very, sexual and questionable song with you live on stage in front of his face. 

You had tried to the ends of your abilities to try and switch Taehyung’s schedule with his manager and personal team, to the point of nearly whining like a literal child with the manager and begging for him to have time to practice with you. Sighing to yourself in misery, you took a look around the HYBE canteen around you and instead tried to admire the vast space, grey wall and floor-to-ceiling windows that showcased the entirety of Yongsan district to your view.  

The coffee had been very tasteful when you first ordered it. But the amount of time sitting here had watered it down like any other iced coffee. You were a self-appointed caffeine addict and were picky with your choice of drinks even if they ended up being the same ones. But you had been impressed knowing they were experienced baristas hired to work in the canteen’s coffee bar rather than just random part-timers. 

Quantity over quality, you supposed. Even for coffee making. 

The surrounding people were only staff, to your understanding. All are either working or eating lunch with colleagues. Some had greeted you in passing, but not other idols in sight. 

Finally determined, you made up your mind before chickening out and wrote a quick text to Taehyung about his whereabouts. He was always quick at replying when it came to you, saying, ‘Lounge with jk, jm and Hobi Hyung.’

With that, you packed away your things and made your way toward their private lounge. 

The current company you were signed with hade made HYBE their new home after its finished renovations. It had been a positive change for you as a small solo artist, as well as your relationship with Taehyung. “Actually guys…” leaning forward, they all turned their attention to you. “Are any of you free to do a collab stage with me for the upcoming award show?”

“Why not Taehyungie hyung?” Jeongguk questioned what you had expected to begin with.  

“I’m too busy,” he replied, rubbing an apologetic hand on your back, but you already understood him. 

“What kind of collab?” Hoseok asked. “I’m a bit busy working on some songs with Yoongi hyung right now.”

“It’s a dance collab to my new song, you know the one I showed you guys a few weeks ago.”

Jimin lurched up from his lounging position with a giggle. “You mean that crazy, sexy song? Taehyungie said it gave him bedroom vibes.”

He returned the look knowingly before giving in quickly. “Fine, I’ll do it - just because it’s you, Y/N.”

“You’re the best!” With a cheer, you jumped up to hug them both tightly. 

“What’s the choreography like?” It was Hoseok who had asked in interest as your smile slightly dropped hesitantly.

At their quizzical looks, you couldn’t help but flush slightly in embarrassment. “Uh, you can watch it on the laptop, it’s unlocked,” you said before quickly addressing your boyfriend. “Tae, can we talk?” 

Before he or the others could comprehend, you had pulled him out of his seat and out the door inside the empty practice room. 

“What’s wrong?”

“I just wanted to check if you were alright with all of this.”

His confused look eased the slight pressure you felt. “About the collab?”

“Well yeah,” you scratched the back of your neck sheepishly. “You remember I told you it was quite a mature concept.”

He must have sensed the anxiety as you spoke those words because Taehyung pulled you into a hug before pressing a soft kiss on your lips which you returned almost gratefully. 

“Y/N, I’m okay. So all you need to do is concentrate on that performance and do your best. Don’t worry about me, really.”

“So, I see you made it!” He pulled me into a hug. Not the ‘barely touch you because this is a little uncomfortable hug”, but a “I feel like we’ve known each other for years hug’.

“Hoseok, you’re incredible. The album is amazing, the release party is amazing, your outfit is amazing!” We pulled away from the hug and I could see a feint blush on his cheeks hidden well in the dimly lit room. “I’m serious, you may be the coolest person I know.”

“Yahhh, you’re boosting my ego too much.” He said while smiling shyly.

“You also may be the humblest person I know so I actually don’t think that is possible.” He smiled at me again and I swear I saw a glimpse of the actual sun in him.

“Do you know anyone here?”

“A few people, mostly through the grapevine.” He could sense my hesitancy right away, I could tell.          

“Come, I’ll introduce you to my friends.” He said as he gestured to the general direction behind him where his so-called friends were. Knowing him, his friends could be some ultra-famous idols that have better things to do than interacting with me. I could slowly feel the anxiety creep back up my spine, and my heartbeat slowly increased.

“I don’t really want to be a bother,” he looked down at me with squinted eyes and a tilted head. “I promise it’s okay, I like being alone and these appetizers are calling my name.”

He chuckled at me in disbelief, as if that was an insane thing to say in a room full of celebrities. I guess you could say a part of me is forgetting that they are just normal people too, so I shouldn’t be feeling this intimidated by them. At the same time, I’ve seen celebrities get starstruck over other celebrities, so they really aren’t just normal people and I am going to tell myself that my feelings are valid.

“C’mon, you’re never a bother. You’re my friend and I want my friends to meet you” he said reassuringly. I guess that answers my earlier internal debate. After 2 seconds of contemplation, I let myself believe him, and I signaled for him to lead the way. He lit up and tugged on my wrist so I could follow him.

I don’t know who I was expecting him to introduce me to, but for some reason his members stupidly did not come to mind. Three of the seven members of BTS were sitting on the stage together, and their heads all turned to Hoseok and I as we approached them. Despite all my inner turmoil, I take pride in my ability to pretend that I am confident and unfazed by everything. That is how I’ve done so well in my career while dealing with anxiety, but as the three idols studied us as we approached them, I could tell that mainting my persona would be more difficult than usual. I know them of course, because who doesn’t these days, but seeing them in person simply beats videos and pictures. They really were beautiful men.

“Yazmine this is Taehyung, Jimin and Jungkook. Guys this is Yazmine.” Hoseok introduced while gesturing to each of them.

“Hi guys its so great to meet you.” I said with a smile. Jungkook and Taehyung who were sitting raised themselves up to give me a bow as well as Jimin who was already standing as I shook my hands at them. “Oh! there’s no need for that we can be casual.”

“Sorry, it’s a habit,” Jimin said with a smile. “After all these years it feels kind of strange not to be formal.”

“That’s how I feel except opposite. Getting used to being formal was a challenge and I sometimes still forget the strict customs.” I explained.

“Sorry if this comes across as rude but you’re not Korean? You’re Korean is really good!” Taehyung questioned.

“It’s not rude at all! I am half Korean from my mom and my dad is middle eastern,” as I was explaining, someone summoned Hoseok over to them and he gave my arm a firm squeeze in parting as he nodded to his members insinuating his departure. “I was raised in the US till age 12 and I’ve been back and forth since then.” I explained as they nodded in understanding. It was endearing how intently they were listening to me, and for some reason I felt oddly at ease with the three. My eyes wandered over to Jungkook’s as I finished my explanation, and as they met he quicky looked away.

“Your interview with Hobi Hyung was amazing by the way,” Jimin said. In the moment I don’t think I even processed that Park Jimin watches my show, I’d have to do that later. “The idea is so new and exciting. I hope that you’ll invite me once I start my solo schedule.” There was a sly smirk on his face. I wondered if it would be inappropriate to tell him I would probably jump off a bus if he asked me to, but I decided to keep that to myself in the end.

“I’ll see what I could do.” I joked back. Out of the corner of my eye I saw someone new approaching us and I turned my head to find Seokjin. I was now surrounded by four members of the group and I am surprised I’ve held my composure for this long.

“Hello,” he says timidly with a subtle bow. “Sorry to interrupt, I just wanted to say bye to these three. I’m Jin.”

Just when I thought these men couldn’t get any better, he introduces himself as if I wouldn’t already know who he is. I gave a bow back and smiled at his humility, “I’m Yazmine, it’s nice to meet you.”

“Hey Jungkook, this must be exciting for you.” At the mention of the youngest members name, I turned to look at him and caught his wide eyes and small headshake towards Jin that I was clearly not meant to see as his eyes shifted to me. “He loves your videos. One time he made me watch three episodes of your trying new things series.”

“Hyung!” Jungkook cried out. Obviously I was not supposed to be filled in on this information, but my heart couldn’t help but beat a little faster at this new discovery.

“Oh, did he now?” I questioned with a smirk. Jungkook’s face twinged a subtle pink that was barely noticeable in the dimly lit room, but noticeable, nonetheless.

“Oh yeah, Jungkookie is always sending us clips from your videos,” Jimin teased. Taehyung started nodding his head enthusiastically and decided he also wanted to join in on teasing the youngest.

“You should have seen his reaction when he found out Hobi Hyung was making an appearance, he was so jeal-”

            “Okay that’s enough.” Jungkook interrupted with an annoyed expression. Despite how much I was enjoying this, I also felt a little bad for him, and I’m sure he’s been at the center of their teasing all these years.

            “Well, I really appreciate the support, and it means a lot coming from you especially.” I reassured him. He gave me a shy small in return.

            “Well it was nice to meet you Yazmine, I am sure we’ll run into each other again,” Jin said with a warm smile. “Before I leave Hobi wants a picture with all of us.” He said while gesturing to the other members. They all nodded in agreement.

            As they all turned to follow Jin, Jimin turned to me and nudged my arm with his. “Don’t go too far, we’ll be back soon.”

“I’ll be here.” I reassured. I definitely wasn’t comfortable enough to talk with anyone else here, and their welcoming energy was definitely more than enough for me. Jimin and Taehyung followed Jin, while I noticed Jungkook lingering a bit. I could tell he had something on his mind that he wanted to say.

            “Isn’t it a bit early for Jin to be leaving?” I questioned. This was my best attempt at making him comfortable enough to tell me what was on his mind.

            “This isn’t really Jin Hyungs scene, he doesn’t really know many people and he gets nervous meeting them too.” Jungkook explained. I almost did not catch the end of what he was saying because I was too distracted by his eyes. They really do sparkle just like everyone says.

            “Wow, if that’s how Jin feels then I really am hopeless.” I said in shock. If a literal bts member was having trouble socializing, I was doomed.

            “Not completely hopeless, you have us now.” He said with the most endearing smile I have ever seen. There was also something about how he said “You have us now”, as if he was insinuating that I would be in their lives longer than just a casual conversation at a party. I know it’s probably my delusion speaking, but it’s a nice thought to comfort me.  “By the way I really do enjoy your videos a lot. I guess it’s kinda embarrassingly obvious now that I am a fan.” He said with a little more confidence while referring to the teasing from his Hyungs.

            “If it makes you feel better, I have 3 older brothers, so I know how it feels. Also, I am slightly embarrassed because of how many stupid things you’ve probably seen me do. It’s actually all coming back now.” I laughed. I started internally second guessing every decision I made for my videos because Jeon fucking Jungkook watches them, and I pray that he has not seen the bird calling video.

            “What, like the bird calling video?” He says with a chuckle. This is not happening right now.

            “I am actually going to ignore what you just said for mental health reasons.” He lets out a boyish laugh at that and I swear I’ve never heard something more adorable in my life. I would honestly embarrass myself 100 times over if it meant that I could make him laugh.

            We both turn our heads at the call of his name and see the members waving him over for the pictures.

            “I’m sorry I don’t want to leave you alone…” He says hesitantly.

            “No, don’t worry about it,” I said. “I’ll just be here trying not to embarrass myself.”

            “I won’t take long so we can be embarrassing together.” He said in a teasing tone. My eyes couldn’t help but widen. I’m either crazy, or he just flirted with me. I could hear his giggle as he turned to walk away while I stood there stunned. The butterflies in my stomach were going crazy as I watched him join the others. Seeing them interact with each other was so special. They looked so happy and comfortable. It was hard not to be slightly envious of their relationship. I can’t remember the last time I had a connection like that with someone, and I could tell it was rare. My eyes naturally wander over to Jungkook as he wrapped his arm around Hoseok. I could see his eyes glistening even from here with joy and contempt. His eyes meet mine and I find myself unable to look away even though I know I’ve been caught staring. His eyes crinkle at the corners as we look at each other, waiting to see who will break eye contact first. My gaze wanders across his nose and cheeks as my face heats up. I force my eyes to meet his one final time and I turn away with a light feeling looming over me.

Yesterday, Dispatch reported that the two idols are currently in a relationship and included photos taken of the pair as they said goodbye outside Nari’s home.

On January 1, following the reports, BTS’ agency Big Hit Music released the following statement.

“Hello. This is Big Hit Music.

This is an official statement regarding the article of BTS’ Jungkook.

Jungkook and BLACKPINK’s Nari have been friends since 2018 and in 2020, they transitioned into a couple. They are maintaining a serious relationship throughout Jungkook’s enlistment.

Ahead of Big Hit Music’s statement, YG Entertainment had also been contacted for comment as BLACKPINK’s agency and they stated, “We did not know of the dating rumors involving Nari.              LUNARIX is a six-member fictional girl group that debuted on July 17, 2023 under ANGELICO Entertainment. Rookies thrown into the UNFORGIVING landscape of the entertainment industry, Lunarix stands out amongst the rest with their UNCONVENTIONAL and QUIRKY sound and concept.

Originally known as "ANGELGIRLZ" during their pre-debut phase, the group faced immediate scrutiny. Their debut announcement quickly followed the disbandment of Angelico's top-performing groups, VENUS and DeepDive. From a young age, Siyeon displayed a big personality and an undeniable need to be on stage, setting her apart from her siblings. ★⠀⠀ ⁄ ⠀⠀CURSE OF CAPULET is the fictional debut mini—album by the idol band BELLADONNA released on February 14, 2024. After their win on Superband, Belladonna would take five months to write and produce their first album with the help of Plastic Flowers SALEM and OLIVER and former Lush member DALLAS LINWOOD. Along with the songs written by the members, Salem had gifted them an old draft, RENEWAL, which was supposed to appear on Wind and Rain in 2019 but was replaced with another song. The album takes on themes of love, desperation, mortality, and the inevitability of fate with their concept changing from girlhood to medieval and renaissance imagery, often seeing the girls depicted as saints. The album had one title track, BURN ALIVE, but RENEWAL was also promoted as a b-side.

★⠀⠀ ⁄ ⠀⠀Curse of Capulet comes from the play Romeo and Juliet by Williams Shakespeare as it's themes closely resemble the overall meaning of their debut album. It is a reference to Mercutio's death in Act III, scene I in which he curses both the Capulets and Montagues with "a plague o' both your houses!", blaming both of them for his death. He wants Romeo to know that he blames the feuding families for his fate and remind Romeo that his love for Juliet was the reason for his death to Tybalt, Juliet's short tempered cousin. The album was released with TWO versions: ROMEO and JULIET, with the back cover featuring quotes from both characters alongside the tracklist.

‘ # 001.⠀ ⠀OLIM ──── written by kwak yulli, produced by oliver song, and performed by belladonna. olim is an introduction track to belladonna's debut track and mimics catholic hymns, with the word olim itself representing the beginning of a fairytale. the translation goes as: "once, long ago God arrived in this age of brightness / He will come again" and is repeated twice. all members of belladonna referred to this as the hardest recording session that they've ever had. the idea was brought up by oliver as a joke, but yulli saw it as the perfect time to flex her old latin skills from attending catholic skills. it was almost cut completely, but the girls were able to save it at the last minute.

‘ # 002.⠀ ⠀TITLE TRACK: BURN ALIVE ──── written and produced by bae haena, performed by kwak yulli. in their debut single, belladonna comes out swinging as they depict themes of addiction, self-destruction, and the sacrifices made for love. the main imagery of the song is a toxic relationship where both parties are consumed by their vices and are unable to break the cycle of destructive patterns. because of this relationship, they are no longer who they aspired to be and desire to capitalize on their own pain, a reflection on modern society.

‘ # 003.⠀ ⠀THEATRE ──── written by ko sarang, produced by dallas linwood, performed by kwak yulli. theatre explores the desire for love and acceptance through the lens of a theatrical performance. it delves into the idea of yearning for a love that feels like it belongings in a grand gesture from a movie or performance. the narrator is willing to go through the motions by pretending and faking emotions just to fulfill this dream of being loved. they yearn to be loved and adored as a film star, swept up in a fantasy where all their desires are achieved.

‘ # 004.⠀ ⠀FORTUNATE ISLES ──── written by kim eulsun and kim wonhui, produced by dallas linwood, and performed by kwak yulli. this song is often the one that gets the most criticism as professionals and netizens alike believe it doesn't fit the sound of the album. however, the girls are always ready to double down on how much they love the song. taking it's name from the greek island where all their greatest heroes lived, fortunate isles conveys the story of a letter being delivered to an ex lover who isn't quiet over their relationship yet, asking to be reborn in spring so they can live together forever.

‘ # 005.⠀ ⠀RENEWAL ──── written and produced by salem kueakulsri, performed by kwak yulli. renewal was a gift to the members of belladonna from plastic flowers leader, salem kuekulsri. in an instagram live, she confirmed that it had intended to be a plastic flowers song, but it was cut and eventually left in her vault of music. she said that she gave it to belladonna to remind them that they always hold the power in their lives and as a way to keep them strong. it explores themes of personal growth and resilience in the face of adversity, wanting to start anew and find solace in oneself after experiencing setbacks and challenges. by "growing a new plant in your head", the narrator can reach a new sense of personal transformation and optimism, leaving anyone that doubted them behind.

‘ # 006.⠀ ⠀LOVERS ──── written by bae haena, produced by oliver song, performed by kwak yulli. haena is quickly establishing herself as the queen of heartbreaking ballads in the group and fans absolutely love it. in this slower track, yulli really shines vocally as she laments on a relationship that failed, but only just realizing how good she had it. with only two verses and a chorus, their message comes across very well as they repeat "i wish you were with me" and "me as yours, you as mine".

‘ # 007.⠀ ⠀PAGAN POETRY ──── written by kwak yulli, produced by oliver song and dallas linwood, performed by kwak yulli. this song explores the spiritual connection between two people as the singer s pedalling through the dark currents and finding an accurate copy of another's pleasure inside of her. this connection is described as a secret code carved into black lilies, something deeply romantic and spiritual. the concept of paganism is reflected in the individual's connection to the divine as deeply personal and the beauty and spiirtualiy is celebrated.

‘ # 000.⠀ ⠀belladonna's fandom name, DOVES, would be announced by the girls in a video on how to cheer for burn alive. it was chosen because doves are often seen as a symbol of peace, freedom, or love—all things their fans provided for belladonna.

— HAUTE PINK is a fictional K-pop girl group under Flowerbank Entertainment. Originally, the group debuted under Angelico Entertainment with the lineup of Misun, Jamie, Jisoo, Bada, Lexa, and Soojin but would fall inactive after the debut of Venus in 2018. Haute Pink comprised former members of the rotational girl group SE4SONS. They were beloved by the general public for their sexy and girl crush concept, which was very different from their former group's typical soft and cute concept.

Despite the group being fairly successful for their time, Angelico left them dormant after Venus's debut in 2018, just three years after the girls' debut. After a year of inactivity, four members would terminate their contracts with Angelico, including Jisoo, Bada, Lexa, and Soojin, leaving only Misun and Jamie in Haute Pink. This was until in 2020, nearly two years of nothing from Misun, Jamie, and Haute Pink in general, their contract would be purchased by Flowerbank Entertainment in what Angelico CEO, Son Jinhwa, would say was "an act of pity."

Under Flowerbank Entertainment, Haute Pink would reform, adding Sunny, Fame, Yui, and Josie in 2021. It was a good thing he’d been looking down, otherwise he would have missed it, or worse…stepped on it. Rewinding to where it began, when the day started, everything was actually going well. When the company came to them, pitching the idea for a show that featured BTS relaxing in the woods, Namjoon had been quick to express skepticism.

“Do you really think Army would want to watch that?” The leader had questioned. “I mean…just us hanging around?”

“I think you’re underestimating how much your fans would like a sneak peek into what the group does on their down days.” Sejin chuckled, tablet in hand. “And they support everything you do. From what I understand, all you’re expected to do is anything you normally would on a relaxing day in the woods.”

Talking amongst themselves, the members had decided to give it a try. Nothing wrong with doing some R&R on the job. Especially if it felt authentic and not like work.

So, In the Soop was greenlighted, and a day for the filming of the first episode was set. They arrived in PyeongChang to find a rolling hilltop vista surrounded by lush woods waiting for them— not that any of them expected the company to spare any expense. The house they were staying in was closer to a small mansion, and after everyone explored and chose rooms to get comfortable, the day commenced.

It wasn’t as though they didn’t genuinely enjoy each other’s company, but wandering off to practice their own ideas of relaxation had been the best plan. They found each other at lunch time, chatting and joking around as usual. It really did feel like they were on a retreat, ignoring the film crew all over the property. 

Then came the rain, a sudden downpour that sent them scrambling to collect their things and run back in the house. Without an umbrella, all they really had to protect themselves were jackets or the towel Jin spread on the grass to sit on.

That was what covered his head as he ran, head down, up the slippery stone walkway to the house. Some of the others were ahead of him, already inside, but just as he had almost caught up, something small caught his attention, right before he placed his foot down. Startled, he stumbled back, nearly slipping and falling on his ass to avoid falling on what he first thought was just a leaf. Then a sharp wind made it move, and a thin, awkwardly bent wing rolled to the side.

Blinking, he leaned down further, unable to control his curiosity and surprise.

“Jimin!” Yoongi called; he, Namjoon, Hobi and Taehyung were standing in the house’s open doorway, peering out at him in bewilderment. It was fair, since he was standing in the middle of a storm instead of coming inside. “What are you doing?!” His voice was almost lost to the sudden, howling wind. What was this, a monsoon? Were summer storms supposed to be this intense in the region?

“I found a bat!” He called back, wondering if it was…well, alive.

His friends stared at each other, trying to decipher what he had said. “What’d he say?”

“He wants a cat!”

Jungkook, who had taken it upon himself to take down the tent some of the members had been resting under—and then chase it down when it began to blow away, had caught up with him by then. The maknae was especially soaked through without any protection, hair plastered to his face and wide eyes peeking from between his bangs. “Why didn’t you go inside, hyung?”

Jimin glanced back, pointing down to the creature on the ground that for all he knew was dead. They might be getting soaked through for a dead bat.

Adjusting the compressed tent under his arm, Jungkook crouched to stare at the tiny animal too. “Is it…”

“I don’t know.” Jimin replied. “It won’t be after this storm if it is.”

Jungkook reached out a finger, determined to get an answer.

“Yah, are you crazy?” The singer jerked the younger member’s arm back. “Don’t touch it!”

“How else are we supposed to know?” Jungkook stared at him as if the logic made perfect sense.

“What are they doing?!” They heard Jin’s voice shouting incredulously. Looking up the path, they could see their ever thoughtful hyung had gone and retrieved dry towels for the other members, and everyone had them draped over their heads and shoulders.

“He wants a cat!” Taehyung informed him, to which Jin’s face twisted in bemusement.

A tiny, weak noise of complaint came from the ground beneath them, and Jimin glared at the maknae, who had taken the moment of distraction to poke the bat anyway.

“You never listen to anything I say!” he complained.

Jungkook shrugged sheepishly, grinning. “At least we know it’s alive.”

“I don’t think we should have brought it in.” Jin mumbled, “Bats carry disease.”

“So do dogs and cats sometimes.” Taehyung pointed out, huddled in behind Jungkook and Jimin as they stood over the weak little creature that had been placed on a towel after getting blow dried on low heat.

“We couldn’t leave it outside like that, hyung,” Jungkook added. “It would die.”

Jin rolled his eyes, “Fine, but touch it as little as possible.”

“I can’t believe you all risked getting sick for one little bat.” Yoongi sighed, handing out mugs of hot cocoa. Everyone had gotten out of their wet clothes, taken hot showers and dried off. The maknaes had been scolded over their actions, but Jungkook was especially unremorseful, too fascinated with the small bat they saved. It hadn’t done much since being brought inside and laid on the towel. Just shivered with its eyes closed. They could see it was breathing, but not much more about its condition than that.

“I’ve never seen a bat this close before.” Jungkook mused, his arms folded on the counter and his chin resting on top of them. He was staring closely at the creature, “I wonder what it’s like to be that small.”

Suddenly, the bat’s eyes opened, bleary and beady as it let out another weak cry. 

Namjoon peered around the maknaes, “So tiny and cute…”

Jin breezed by to sit at the kitchen table with his cocoa, still keeping his distance from the bat. “Namjoon, you stay away from that thing. One wrong move and you’ll squish it like a grape.”

The leader backed away immediately, eyes flickering in panic.

Hoseok looked up from where he had been scrolling on his phone, “This site I found said that we should check it for injuries. It might have been down on the ground because it was hurt.”

 Taehyung stared over at his hyung, but quickly shifted his attention back to the bat. “How do we do that?”

Hoseok’s thumb tapped the screen before he replied. “Blow gently on its fur to examine any hidden areas.” 

Jungkook instantly sucked in a deep breath, until Jimin put a hand on his arm. “Not like that! You’ll blow it right off the counter.” 

The older singer shooed the maknae aside, staring at the dazed little creature, who still hadn’t moved from the middle of the towel. He blew very lightly, the russet orange fur moving with the exhale. There were some scrapes, probably from getting knocked around in the wind. What was most concerning though, was the tear in its right wing.

“That should heal up on its own.” Hoseok informed them.

Jimin turned, skeptical. Bat wings looked so thin and delicate. What were the odds they wouldn’t need a vet?

“That’s what the site says.” Hobi defended, showing them the webpage he was reading from. “Also if we want to give it water, the best way to do that is with a paper towel or on the end of a clean paint brush.”

“I have those.” Taehyung wiggled away from where he was wedged between Jimin and Jungkook, presumably to go and fetch them.

“What’s it eat?” Yoongi questioned, rummaging around in the giant stainless steel fridge. Luckily fully stocked. “I mean, it needs food right?”

Hoseok’s brow furrowed as he continued to look. “Um…I think that depends on what kind of bat it is. They have different diets.”

“Can we feed it fruit?” Jungkook asked, watching the bat seemingly watch him. Its little nose wiggled cutely, and it gave him a watery blink. He smiled. Namjoon was right. It was cute. 

“What if it drinks blood?” Taehyung asked as he came back with a brush in hand.

“Ew,” Jin cringed, and Hobi made a noise of distaste as well. “That would be disgusting.”

“I don’t think those bats live in Korea.” Namjoon voiced, looking in the fridge with Yoongi since he had been effectively chastised away from the bat. “So we shouldn’t have to worry about that.”

Meanwhile, Taehyung had wet the end of the brush in the sink. He carefully approached the counter, dangling the tip in front of the bat’s face. It didn’t react at first, shivering and blinking. Determined, the curly-haired man brought it closer, and the animal lifted its head a little, a tiny tongue darting out to lick at the bristles. It lapped up the droplet, squealing with a little more vigor than it previously had.

The men all watched it all open its mouth, fangs half the size of rice grains visible. “It wants more,” Jimin whispered. Taehyung hurried to comply, wetting the brush a little more and bringing it back again. The bat continued drinking, and several of the members couldn’t resist a coo. Cute was cute. 

As it grew more animated, licking and squeaking, Yoongi broke the silence with a question, “…Do bats even live in this part of the region at all? Where’d it come from?”

“It’s too small to be any of the native bat species.” Hoseok confirmed, brows lifting in surprise as he stared at his phone.

“An invasive species?” Namjoon guessed, “I read some bats can fly hundreds of miles in a day.”

After having had its fill of water, the bat backed away from the brush, though the noises didn’t quiet down. “Is it hungry?” Jungkook asked.

“We still don’t know what it eats. Or what kind it is…” Yoongi reminded them, opening a water bottle and taking a sip. “Unless Hobi has any ideas.”

“Er,” The rapper shrugged. “It could be a couple. The fur color and size matches this.” They flocked around his phone for a better peek.

“‘Little brown bat’…” Jin read. “This bat isn’t brown!”

“It says they’re commonly brown but come in different colors,” Namjoon muttered, “So I guess that’s a good enough guess for now. They eat insects though. We don’t have that.”

Taehyung ruffled his hair, thinking. “Trial and error then?”

The group sighed in relief as they watched the bat accept the rice from the end of the chopsticks Jungkook was holding. The little creature’s mouth smacked as it chewed, a piece stuck to its nose. 

“I think he likes it!” Taehyung cheered. He held up a raisin, which the bat sniffed, considered, then took from between his fingers. That was eaten less enthusiastically, but swallowed nonetheless.

“You’ve decided it's male?” Yoongi raised a brow. “It’s not like you can really tell.”

“Um,” Jungkook glanced up, giving the bat a few more pieces of rice. “How could we tell?”

Everyone directed their attention to Hoseok, who made a face. “You all have phones too…” Still, he dug his out of his pocket and navigated to the page they’d been consulting. “Oh…” he giggled. “Someone has to pick it up and turn it over.”

Silence descended over the members, until Jungkook decided to voice his opinion. “Jin-hyung should do it.”

The cup noodles he had been eating slipped from his chopsticks, the broth splashing him a bit. “Yah, why me? I told you I’d be hands off.”

“You’re always saying you’re the oldest.” Jungkook explained.

“That has nothing to do with this,” his hyung protested. 

“Is it really that important that we know in the first place?” Yoongi mumbled, eating his own noodles across from Jin. “We’re going to call someone in the morning to come get it, right?”

“Well we can still use the right pronouns in the meantime.” Jimin reasoned, Jungkook nodding in agreement with his hyung. “So who’s doing it?”

Jungkook considered picking the bat up and doing it himself, since he wasn’t scared and it hadn’t acted aggressive so far, but Taehyung had already donned a rubber glove, carefully reaching for the tiny thing.

It squealed, wiggling in his hold before settling down. They managed to get it onto its back, and Hoseok brought over his phone, with pictures of what both male and female bats looked like side by side. 

“I don’t see any…you know.” Jimin gestured.

“Bat balls.” Taehyung said, drawing a giggle from Jungkook and Hoseok.

“So…she’s a girl?” Namjoon concluded.

“I dunno, probably?” Taehyung shrugged. “Let’s go with that for now.”

“Please put the bat away for the night.” Jin sighed. “We’ve fed her and determined she’s a girl. How much more time are we spending on this?”

Jungkook knew Jin normally liked tiny, cute things. But he probably was still worried the bat carried rabies or something. 

“Hyung’s got a point.” Namjoon said, back in leader mode. “Let her rest, and we’ll see if there’s a wildlife rescue that will come pick her up tomorrow.”

Taehyung put the bat back on the towel and took off the glove. Jungkook decided she needed somewhere a little comfier, and he and Jimin found a small box they put the towel in, along with a water bottle cap to use as a drinking bowl. Considering her wing injury and sluggishness, they weren’t sure if she could fly, so they didn’t bother covering the box’s opening.

“Bye,” he waved as they exited the kitchen and turned off the light, leaving the box on the counter.

★ ⠀⠀ ! ⠀⠀ Since earning her first real paycheck, SALEM has invested heavily into her collection of bass guitars. These are only the four that she uses most often and there are many more in their studio space in Superbloom's headquarters. Despite having so many, she knows them like the back of her hand and can easily deicide which one needs to be used while recording or even playing live. The one with the STICKERS is her prized possession, having been with her since the beginning of THE BIG GLOOM.

★ ⠀⠀ ! ⠀⠀ Compared to the rest of the members, JUNYEONG has only became interested in drum kits recently. He never really cared about drums before they started making it big but that's what you get for spending years resenting your position in the band! He shifts between these two main kits and has been looking into some other additions for them recently. In the middle, there is the Plastic Flowers logo as well!

★ ⠀⠀ ! ⠀⠀ SERIN loves her aesthetic guitars, especially that third white one. She is easily the most picky member of her instruments and only owns a few of each style. Compared to Salem, she also struggles with choosing the perfect choice and works very closely with her producers to ensure the best sound comes out. She has gotten better over the years but she has no real interest in collecting them either. It's about the look more than anything for her.

BLOOD SOIL is the 2nd full album of the Angelico co-ed group Pushing Daises released on November 1st, 2023 alongside their short film by the same name. The album consists of 11 tracks with "Catch me" and "Frostbite" being the title tracks. The group promoted the album for two months, ending promotions with 750,000 copies sold worldwide and 8 music show trophies between the two songs.

The album is entirely self-composed, written, and produced by the members of Pushing Daisies, citing to have very little help from outside forces with this album. A majority of their creative direction for this comeback was under their leader, Zasha, who wrote and directed their short film as well.

Pushing Daisies were styled by Nakyung who drew inspiration from dollcore and the southern gothic aesthetic. Nakyung also did their hair and makeup, which were heavily influenced by dolls and horror movies.

OO1. Biggest moment for them this era was when the Blood Soil short film was aired at the Sundance Film Festivle. Blood Soil would go on to win "Short Film Grand Jury Prize" making them the first Angelico Artist to take home an American based film award. Their reaction to winning the award would go viral as all the members looked stunned and confused, looking around like a mistake had been made before going to accept their award.

OO2. They brought back their beloved reality series "BEYOND THE GRAVE" and ran for ten episodes. The members went on various adventures throughout the show's run such as getting locked in an escape room together, visiting famous haunted locations around the world, undergoing a test to discover if they have any supernatural abilities or sensitivities, gathering around a campfire or in a dimly lit room to share their own ghost stories or paranormal experiences, spending a night at a reputedly haunted hotel, watching their favorite horror movies together, and many more freaky adventures wherever Angelico decided to send the group.

OO3. The group kept their social media activeee during this era! Zasha went live on their YouTube channel where she went over her entire creative process behind Blood Soil and shared personal anecdotes and inspirations behind the lyrics of the album. She read excerpts from her personal diary during this live, showing drawings and sketches of the characters and outfits she envisioned for this project. It was very insightful and intimate experience for fans.

OO4. Nakyung and Elliot were the most promoted members, as usual, the pair becoming Inkigayo MCees which fans ate up. They would go viral for interacting with groups they used to be a part of or were almost a part of. A picture of Nakyung smiling brightly while Sena of Venus side eyes her was a big hit amongst Mysies who know how to take a joke unlike constellations, who didn't find it funny. While introducing STARZIE, Elliot would make a joke about almost being in the lineup, saying: "Here's the group I was rigged out of, Starzie!" And while the members were able to take the joke, Elliot would have to apologize to netizens on his Instagram story later that night.

OO5. That wasn't the only scandal that hit the group this comeback! Yeojun would be spotted leaving a club with Lunarix member Evie, causing a frenzy online and disputes between the group's fanbases. Angelico would swiftly release a statement but would avoid discussing the relationship status of the idols, only addressing that the club they went to was a reputable club and neither one of them engaged in "inappropriate activities". Still, both Yeojun and Evie would release apologies, stating they were close friends and were just hanging out. After this, Yeojun would be notably quiet for the rest of the promotions.

OO6. The group would get matching tattoos towards the end of the promotions, vlogging the whole experience and even sharing the design on their social media for fans to get the same design if they wanted to. The design was a simple daisy with a single falling petal. Many netizens saw this move as inappropriate as it "promoted getting tattoos" to their "young and impressional" fanbase. The group didn't address this stirr through Zasha would post a selfie with her tattoo on her story with the caption "get jobs" which many fans found hilarious.

Debuting in 2012 as Flowerbank's second idol group and first-ever boy group, they were met with instant success and quickly began to climb the ranks, winning the title of "Rookie of the Year" and "Best Global Group" in 2012. The group would continue to grow and top the charts, even gaining international success that put them in competition with One Direction.

Despite their ever-growing stardom, the group would be met with tragedy when the heart and soul of the group, Lee Chang, would go missing in 2015. Upon his disappearance, the ISSAYAH members refused to come back without him, joining every search party for their missing friend. He has not made his opinions on Lee's whereabouts known, but he sends money to Lee's mother in America once a month to take care of her.

SUH JAEHYUN, 1995. VOCALIST, RAPPER. He remains signed to Flowerbank Entertainment as an actor, creative director, and producer, working with their most popular groups, such as DeepDive and VENUS. In 2018, Jaehyun made it publicly known that he does not believe Lee is alive and that the investigation into his disapperence was botched beyond belief. He harbors a lot of resentment towards the police and seemingly the Flowerbank CEOs for this, which he has made known several times during his controversial live streams.

LEE CHANG, 1995. VOCALIST, DANCER. His contract remains active with Flowerbank Entertainment as he has not been legally pronounced dead. Carmen Bae, Co-CEO, has explained that this is so his mother can continue receiving royalties for Lee's music. Lee was last seen officially on CCTV leaving a bar known as "Devil's Lock and Key" in Busan with three friends, one female and two males, at around 2:12 in the morning, June 8th 2015. He has not been seen or heard from since.

MOON IDEUN, 1997. VOCALIST, DANCER, MAKNAE. After ISSAYAH's hiatus was officiated in 2015, Ideun was put into a sibling duo, 2MOON, with his twin sister Rua. Though the duo would be extremely famous in Korea, once it was time for contract renewals, Ideun would not resign from Flowerbank Entertainment and leave the industry to focus on his education. Ideun believes Lee Chang is alive and has disappeared on his own accord, saying: "Lee always talked about how beautiful Hawaii was when he visited as a kid. I like to think he got over all this and lives there now. It's better than the alternative."

we first see misun walking behind chenle with sunglasses on her face, arms wrapped tightly around herself.

“next time, let’s record 7llin’ in the summer,” misun huffs as she follows her members up the sidewalk.

she doesn’t really comment on the house at first, merely bouncing in place to stay warm and starts begging, “can we please go inside? please please please-“

she flinches when renjun starts singing louder, whipping her head to look at him and yell even louder for him to “be quiet!”

misun waves to the camera once she gets inside, raking her fingers through her hair.

“this place is so much better than the dorm,” she says to herself as they look around the house, not realizing a camera was right next to her until chenle pointed to it, laughing at her face. “ah… well, this is a hint to give us a better dorm.”

“look at the water,” she gasps once she goes to the windows, “i wanna throw someone in it.”

“let’s have the leader wake up by going in the water,” renjun turns to mark and misun tries to hide her laughter, turning away from mark and the camera.

“you only treat me as the leader at times like this,” mark says. misun can’t hide her laughter anymore.

when jaemin suggests going to the beach and eating, she says, “only if you’re making it.”

“mark should join the water challenge,” misun pretends as if she’s reading a fan comment after mark sings the popular song. mark looks at her with wide eyes and she laughs, “what? i’m talking about the other version.”

“taking the lost like a true loser,” misun pats haechan on the back after he fails and turns around, gasping when she saw the staff members on the balcony, “oh, god. that scared me.”

“do aegyo and jaemin’ll make dinner,” misun demands to renjun who makes a face at her.

misun jumps when renjun yells, again, and follows behind the other members to take the picture. jaemin pushes her lightly in front of him so she’s not in the back, hidden.

she laughs when haechan threatens jisung with the water, accidentally pressing the button to turn it on and they all gasp when water comes out. she quickly turns it back off, looking around cluelessly when the other members question how it happened.

“not all of us are going to fit,” misun stares at the tub, crossing her arms before renjun’s stare gets to her and she starts getting it, “okay, okay.”

misun is half laying on mark in the tub, clearly uncomfortable with half her legs laying outside the tub. but she smiles for the picture anyway before quickly climbing out.

“you don’t even wanna wait for me to look at the picture,” renjun huffs. misun rolls her eyes, “i trust you to not let me look stupid.”

“the cold makes me slow,” misun says as the instructor helps her with the gear. “i’m going to lose!”

“sucks to be you,” chenle pokes her in the back.

when the instructor asks if they could shoot the person, she immediately turns the toy gun on chenle.

“mark, why are you like this?” she laughs when mark lunges close to jaemin’s face.

“acting for you guys, maybe,” misun laughs after they say the killing’s just acting.

the game begins with misun hiding behind a ramp, bouncing slightly in her position to get warm. she runs after chenle but ends up right in front of jisung, giggling evilly to herself as she shoots at jisung. “ah, ah, stop-“ jisung laughs as he runs away from her.

“do you think they’ll notice if i just leave?” misun laughs, watching the chaos in front of her from further away. from her spot, she bends down behind a car and shoots at renjun. “i’m on your team!” renjun screams, laughing, but she doesn’t stop until mark gets her from behind. she whirls around, gasping at the betrayal despite him being on the opposite team, “mark!”

misun joins jaemin at top, sitting on a chair beside him as they watch the rest chase each other around. “i hate games,” she huffs, nose noticeably red.

“i’ll go this way, you go this way,” jaemin gestures for her to go the opposite way. she finds mark, immediately shooting him as revenge.

“what?” misun is confused, only hearing renjun yelling and not what he actually says. “oh, oh crap-“

when the instructor says the game is over, she sighs in relief, feeling hot now that she had been running around.

“haechan cheated,” misun says when haechan is revealed to have gotten first place. “for someone who got killed so many times, you’re bold,” haechan fires back, nudging her. “liar!” she laughs, “i’m right behind you and renjun!”

misun ends up having to go to the grocery store. definitely gave haechan the stank eye, mentally telling him he would get it later.

“i’m hungry so i’m going to get the entire store,” misun tells the members staying as the chosen losers walk to the car. they merely wave her off. “well now that they did that, i’m definitely getting the entire store with their money.”

“he only chose misun because of how many times she killed him,” mark laughs in the car. misun’s sitting in the back, leaning her head on jeno’s chair.

“don’t look at me, i’m not cooking, either,” misun shakes her head when they all turn to her. “i’m on strike, remember?”

mark laughs, telling the camera, “we got takeout one night when she made dinner and she was soo mad,” he turns the camera to misun who crosses her arms at him.

“you’re such a baby,” chenle says from the front and misun makes a face at him.

“sulky chenle,” misun laughs at the change, “wait, why does he get to choose?” jeno turns to her, smiling at her pout, “what do you want then?” misun stares at him, “oh, i don’t know, i don’t really care.”

“be careful,” misun carefully says in japanese, looking proud of herself as the others ‘wow’ at her. “you sound so different, dude,” mark laughs. “she sounds different in every language,” chenle points out. “the many voices of kang misun.”

“i want snacks, though,” misun squints, “jisung-ie also wants potato chips. definitely some dessert, too.”

“let’s just order food,” jeno suggests, laughing when misun turns to him. “nevermind, nevermind. still a touchy subject.”

“i don’t know why they thought it would be a good idea for us four to go shopping,” misun tells the camera, holding it as they get out the car. “did they think i’d take up leadership? they’re gonna wish jaemin went.”

𝗦𝗢𝗡 𝗝𝗜𝗡𝗛𝗪𝗔: Son Jinhwa is the CEO and founder of Mydol Entertainment. Beginning his career in 2001 as a soloist under YG Entertainment, he would soon transition into acting, gaining mainstream success until he departed from the label in 2007. He would found Angelico Entertainment, creating and housing iconic groups such as VENUS, DEEPDIVE, SNS, and PUSHING DAISIES. After retiring from Angelico, he created Mydol Entertainment to pave a new and innovative way for K-pop.

𝗝𝗘𝗢𝗡 𝗝𝗜𝗛𝗔𝗡: Jeon Jihan began his work in the entertainment industry in 2002 as a member of the boy group "EXEN" which would run until 2005 before the group would disband. Jihan would make a smooth transition into working behind the scenes as a creative director for a variety of groups. He began working for Angelico Entertainment in 2015 as a creative director but would soon take the role of COO after only two years of working with the company.

Kiha is not only responsible for providing Mydol with state-of-the-art business strategies and innovative management plans but also has a thriving acting career and is the head of the training department within Mydol.
