Got another spike dream from like 2 days ago. Still have yet to shift but the dream was interesting. It started at some sort of fair thing. I don't know if I was still in high school or something either way I saw Spike and immediately gravitated towards him. No one else knew him but I knew him. I want to say it was either cloudy or almost dark. He and I hung out for a bit held hands. We acted like a couple. I then took Spike to a party thing that he wasn't exactly enthusiastic about. It was there that I ramped up the clingyness and got all huggy and kissy with him. I think dream me was also drunk. Spike through it all was gentle and kinda kept to himself. The dream shifted to where I was on the beach (more like Santa Cruz boardwalk) during a sunny day and missed Spike. Later in a shaded area like a dark sitting area I found Spike and stayed with him. We talked about something that I can't remember then kissed. Overall not a bad dream but I woke thinking I was REALLY clingy 💀

Honestly Spike has ruined my chances at any sort of romance here for me. Almost as badly as my insecurities lol. God I miss him 🥲

i’ve been sitting on this suggestion by @nyxtheghostshifting for way too long and i apologize. thank you for the submission! and i really just… i need to sit down and do this pac. i’ve missed this.

do not take this pac as something you have to do. you decide your future and all you do in your lives. i will not be upset if you don’t do this. this is all written by me in most likely a few hours so i apologize for any spelling errors.

you and your s/o seem like the type to be sort of quiet and reserved. perhaps only one of you, but either way, one of you want to keep to yourself and struggle to be vulnerable with the other.

one of the scenario i’m getting is one of you saying “fuck off”, presumably because you wanted to be alone, but that’s not the true way you felt. you want to be with them. they want to be with you. but they feel as if they can’t. as if they aren’t good enough for you. i’m also getting wlw vibes? the “oil and water” scene from arcane keeps coming to mind. the person wants you to be successful and walks away because they feel like the hinder that. do you guys like angst? i feel like some of you may have scripted a temporary break up. there’s a lot of passion here though. it seems like you both truly want each other. flowers are also important here. golds and pinks.

i feel like they’re very possessive of you. they always want to be around you but they also want to display you. almost like a trophy wife/husband. they feel like you’re a reward, no, a blessing. again with flowers, golds and pinks. they felt lost without you. “you’re their sunshine”. they love talking about you, complimenting you to their friends, just letting them know everything you do is “perfect”. they see you as perfection.

they see a future with you. they want to do everything with you. they move in harmony with you. they match your energy a lot. they may not be the most outgoing but they will be for you. “anything for you.” guys they’re so sappy and cute. my autocorrect tried to correct that to sapphic so i do see wlw !

you guys cuddle a lot. on the couch, in your bed, at a friends house, your bodies are always tangled together. take that as you will. i get kinda black cat energy from both of you? you guys procrastinate together. you spend so much time together, that what needs to be done rarely does get done. perhaps you and this person should shift to a wr together or somewhere time doesn’t pass. that would be beneficial. you really get lost in each others energy, and it is so sweet. i honestly think you guys ground each other in a way, and tune out the world and make it “your own happy place.” especially if it wasn’t like that at first, before you two knew each other — but honestly you guys could’ve been childhood friends trying to support each other through thick and thin.

i don’t think there’s much room for polyamory here, not that there is in another pile, but i’m definitely getting like you two will not let anyone get between you. it’s kind of a joint at the hip relationship? you guys honestly worship each other and want to be better for each other.

you’re willing to sacrifice anything for each other. four of pentacles and ten of cups came out together. you guys may have children one day? i heard “across many lives.” this is honestly so sweet and innocent. are there issues wrapped up in that? yes, but everyone has that. i saw two people stepping across stones on a river. one takes the first leap, the other follows, and then takes the lead. you’re always encouraging each other to grow. keep doing that. it’s so sweet.

a wish come true. one of you guys wished for this connection. it’s other worldly. you wished on a star, threw a coil in a well, prayed, whatever. there manifestation in this. you both wished on this during similar points, similar times of struggle, then meet each other at the perfect time.

i can’t even lie, the way these cards came out is insane. the well came out, then ten of swords reversed on the bottom, ace of swords reversed on the top, then knight of swords and six of wands. it’s like you guys had both been wishing for this, fell into hardship at the same time, then, obviously, came together at the perfect time. you guys compliment each other perfectly and it’s super duper interesting. i’m wondering if this is a divine connection. i really think it is! but again, i don’t like putting that thought in peoples minds. you can use your discretion to figure that out

the thematic narrative in season 6 of the three OG Scoobies struggling with powerlessness and dealing with it in different ways (Buffy not feeling anything at all, Willow by abusing the material power she does have, and Xander repressing), and all three of them being brought out of it by reaffirming their connection to the world through their platonic and familial connections

I was scrolling through tumblr as I do and I saw someone say they're glad spike in la bc he's treated better?? lmao???? spike was only treated better bc he wasn't treated in the first place!! it was a rare and often negative occurrence in which they acknowledged his existence at all. NO ONE talked to him besides angel or fucking harmony, and neither of those interactions ever led to something good. he had to BEG fred for attention and didn't even try with the others, and illyria only spoke to him bc she wanted him as her pet!!!! at least in SUNNYDALE he was getting attention and making connections with the gang, even if a good 90% of those connections weren't exactly friendly. he's way too social of a creature to be content with la. he may have been hated in sunnydale but at least he was known. he had actual individual and group dynamics with every single member of the scoobies, which I do not feel like could be said with the angel crew

Jenny was possessed by a creature that had killed multiple other people. Eyghon attempted to tempt her boyfriend to 'take advantage of [her]' body which she had no control over. She was brought back from the brink with Angel's hands around her neck - the vampire who inflicted great trauma upon her people, the consequences of which she had to bear the burden of (and that, lest we forget, ultimately led to her death.) Three weeks later she was still having trouble sleeping due to what she endured.

That is such a violent, intrusive experience and yet that plot point is wrapped up with... Jenny feeling the need to apologise to the man who (however unintentionally) was the architect behind what happened to her - because she was 'harsh' when telling him she needed more time and space.

'You make me feel bad that I don't feel better.'

So not only is she dealing with the emotional and mental fallout from her experience, but Giles is repeatedly sulking around her because her recovery isn't quick or nice and tidy. I'm glad she got to shoot him with a crossbow.

For all her humour and lightheartedness, Jenny is a character whose foundations are build upon brutality and the show never once stops to tend to the gaping wounds such experiences leave - rather punishes her for them. Let's not even get into common strands of fan discourse around her reaction to the events of The Dark Age because that's a whole other can of worms.

If I remember correctly, everyone goes to save Angel at night and Kendra leaves the next day. Where did she stay that night? Buffy gives her a shirt, so it could be that she stayed at the Summers house. But Joyce didn't know about the slaying at that point so she either snuck her in or said she was friend. But she could have given it to her without bringing her home. (I.e she had an extra shirt in her locker at school). It wouldn't surprise me if she ended up in an abandoned building or the motel.

One has to wonder whether BTV shifted the schedule so that ‘Unfortunate Night’ aired after the local elections on May 1st,

rather than before, since they could have been accused of airing an anti-right-wing propaganda on May 3rd. (The entire season was written to end on May 24th, not the 31st.)

tbh the mechanics of sunnydale (and central california) are unfortunately something i'm happy/proud to replicate with the mechnics of grimstead in solemn graces, where at any given time, you could be:

in the middle of a cluttered victorian village

on the streets of modern suburban neighborhood where all the houses are the same Except One

in farmland where everything is dry and horrible

in the best theme park ever that's simultaneously also the worst

in a brutalist factory landscape where cement and metal are your only friends

by the shore of a cozy fishing village with a lighthouse and a sea monster

in the middle of nowhere with nothing but crossroads and passing semi-trucks

at the foot of a hill supporting an ancient castle that houses ghosts and vampires

in the middle of a swamp that houses witches, bog-monstersz and crumbling plantations

in a small town of only 1300 people that spans several miles and constantly has more housing and businesses

at the heart of a populous downtown area where there's always a street fair and vampires come to roost

at an arcade, a motel, or the only bar in town where no one else is because they're all at the only other only arcade, motel, or bar in town and you just happened to choose the wrong one that night

the loneliest cemetery that has no one buried there and yet no one ever goes there despite everyone who dies being buried there

in a town that's called grimstead and has 30000 people in it one day, in a town called grimshaw and has 1300 people the next, or a neighborhood called twisted oaks that's never seen the touch of victorian architecture and knows only what the misguided house-builders in the 50s thought might make for decent house features while replicating the same designs infinitely for ease of construction
