#burntrap mimic debate

Imma be so fr, I am insanely tired of the Mimic vs. Afton debates. I'm settling this once and for all. Buckle up, as this will be a pretty beefy post.
In regards to Burntrap, it's Mimic. There's no other viable explanation anymore. At SB's launch, Burntrap was very much intended to be Afton, but that is not the case anymore. I am aware that Burntrap and Mimic have very different designs, but need I remind you this series is plagued by design inconsistentcies? Scraptrap is supposed to be the same suit as Springtrap. Scrap Baby has a completely different hair structure, despite her seemingly using a broken version of her original mask. Molten Freddy doesn't have legs despite Ennard having them. You need to realize that just because characters look different, doesn't mean they aren't the same. But most importantly when it comes to Burntrap, it no longer makes sense for it to be Afton. We know many things about Afton, but most importantly we know he's egotistical. He's grandiose. Tell me, why would Afton just disappear after accomplishing the feat of escaping hell itself? He would absolutely move on to his next big plan. He's not seen in RUIN. In fact, Mimic is right where Burntrap used to be. You're telling me Mimic just showed up exactly where Afton was and suddenly Afton is gone? Did Mimic kill him off screen or something?
Afton is not Glitchtrap, either. It's still Mimic. We know from SB and the questionably canon emails of FNAF AR that Glitchtrap took control of the whole Fazbear Network when scanned in. Why would William not be immediately exploiting this? No, Glitchtrap exploits it, but he does it more slowly. More methodically. Glitchtrap doesn't act like Afton either. It's got a the bragging Afton, but it goes a bit overboard. It dances and prances and waves. Not to mention Glitchtrap wears a more mascoty costume as opposed to a springlock suit, just like Mimic.
"Ohhh! but they scanned Scraptrap's circuit boards for Help Wanted, Yakkyr! Ohhhh!" Wrong. I recently replayed Help Wanted, and all Tape Girl says is that the boards were old. The boards are also specified to save on programming costs. You know what character is old, able to mimic performances, and happened to recently come into Fazbear Entertainment's possession? The Mimic. Not to mention, Glitchtrap specifically latches onto Tape Girl's AUDIO LOG FILES. Halfway through the tapes, Tape Girl completely flips her script and leads the player right to Glitchtrap. And I know it's mimicking her voice because if it had already possessed her, it wouldn't need Vanessa.
And finally, if it IS Afton, why is he the only one who survived the fire? The Blob/Tangle isn't Molten Freddy. It's probably made up of his remains, sure, but it's not really him. Notice how mindless and rabid Tangle is. It Acts more like a creature infected with agony. It may have Molten Freddy's Agony, but the souls within Molten Freddy have been laid to rest. Michael and Henry are dead. Charlie is at rest. (Be thankful I'm not going on a tangent about how stupid the theory of Charlie haunting the Pizzaplex is. I'm keeping this on track.) It would make no sense for Afton to be the only one alive.
And if they DID scan Afton's circuit board, all the board would have would be Agony, which means Glitchtrap wouldn't really be him. Agony can bring things to life, but it doesn't cause true possession. There is physically no way for Afton to come back whatsoever. And if they actually DID scan the circuits of old animatronics, why didn't anyone else come back? Why don't we have a Circus Baby Glitchtrap or a Puppet Glitchtrap? It makes no sense
You all need to accept that Afton is dead. He's gone. It's Mimic now. Get over it.
Mimicsweep.

One of the greatest debuffs of all time...
Hello!
Another meme to celebrate the 10th year anniversary of FNAF.
This time about William Afton's evolution.
From engineering genius to killer to mad scientist to zombie rabbit thing to decomposed zombie rabbit thing to furry computer virus to furry cult leader to another zombie rabbit thing (the last ones are debatable, because there's a possibility that Burntrap/Glitchtrap were The Mimic).
Such a lad XD
I hope you're enjoying my memes.
See you later

I'm glad HW2 seems to have finally debunked the Mimic = Glitchtrap/Burntrap theory. Idk why but I never liked Mimic replacing Afton, so I'm happy that's not the case. What do you think of that?
What's amazing is that I was seeing people claiming that Glitchmic was 100% confirmed before anyone had even finished the game. Then we actually reached the ending and I was absolutely lost on how *that* was what people got out of it.
With how much we know about Afton, how he uses people and how he acts, it's pretty obvious to me Glitchtrap was always him and is *still* him to his bitter end...(?) I'm not sure how people saw the PQ4 ending and went "Yes, vanny just squashed a branch of the Mimic! This was what we were building up to!" but something tells me that's probably why so many people think the ending was confusing.
I can't fault people for believing Glitchmic, it obviously has its evidence, but I can fault a handful of people within the community making it their mission to spread the idea its 100% confirmed every time they *think* some new piece of info proves it even when it doesn't.
This is a big thing that happened with Miketrap, too. People went "the cutscene confirms Michael is Springtrap!" Acted hostile to you if you didn't believe that, and would take any tiny new information as the ultimate confirmation. I saw today people scouring a SW dev's likes on Twitter as evidence for Glitchmic, which immediately reminded me of when people took a tweet from PJ Heywood where he tagged something about Michael with #SpringtrapSmell as evidence for Miketrap. Obviously we know how that ended up faring.
In general I hate when people try to pull the Miketrap comparison against people who believe Afton is Glitchtrap because it's obvious they don't know what the actual problem was with the Miketrap debate... it wasn't just that Miketrap was wrong, it was the absolute toxicity that spawned from people forcing it into the community's accepted narrative. Doesn't matter if Mike ended up as Springtrap or not. It was godawful.
Ultimately, I wouldn't count my chickens before they hatch with the Afton/Mimic debate even if I *really* want to. It's still not confirmed either way and unfortunately we're probably gonna be stuck in this loop for a long time, assuming Scott or SW doesn't say anything about it.
I have many, many thoughts on the Glitchmic debate, but I've talked enough so I'll call it off here. Sorry for the long-winded answer!

This is going to be a somewhat random ranty vent post that honestly I need to get off my chest
Recently, I've been HATING the theory section of the fnaf fandom.
Something I've noticed is that people really, REALLY hate when you suggest something new, or suggest a different angle to see the series from, especially about the recent games. And this issue isn't new at all, afaik it's been a thing for at least a year, if not longer.
I've seen many times where people get straight up attacked for their theories (i.e. matpat, fuhnaff), and I've actually experienced being full on laughed out of conversations for suggesting something that MAKES SENSE. Several times, actually.
And this is like... a huge issue in the fnaf fandom. And a surprising one too! This is the fandom that, at one point, FULLY believed purple guy was golden freddy, or that SL was an adult club with sex robots before it came out. At one point, Scott couldn't hide ANYTHING from the fandom! People got things right every single time, and every theory was considered and respected, even crazy ones! And I was THERE to see this happen!
But now you suggest that a few characters might parallel each other, a very common literary trope, and you get DOGPILED.
Literally everyone debates over everything and can't agree on a single thing. Is glitchtrap William or the Mimic? Are the kids robots or not? Is burntrap the mimic or not? Who the hell is the hw2 protagonist??
And then you dare suggest something out of the norm, like for example, glitchtrap is neither William OR the mimic- and you get yelled at and laughed out of the conversation, regardless of how much sense your theory makes.
Like, what the hell?? Making crazy theories is what helped the fandom make sense of the original games! Now everyone's too scared to bring up things that MIGHT be a little silly, in fear of it becoming miketrap 2.0 (despite the theory MAKING SENSE at the time).
Like... christ, people. Let people theorize and actually respect other people's theories. There's many theories that I don't agree with, i.e. Mikevictim, yet I don't make them the laughing stock of the fandom.
Be respectful people. Quit being assholes. It's really not that hard.

I love how as soon as the mimic is revealed to be the main villain of Security Breach Ruin, everyone immediately thought that " good ol' Glitchtrap must be the mimic" yada yada. I would like to debate on that. The mimic is a physical entity. Second of all there's so much evidence to pinpoint that William Afton is Glitchtrap. What I think happened was Burntrap was a failed attempt for Glitchtrap (Afton) to take control of the mimic as, when we beat the Princess Quest games, we free Vanessa, who would definitely try to help him. And, in the game files for Princess Quest, the princess is named "Cassidy". Cassidy definitely knows that peepaw escaped his hell. In the 3rd PQ game, we see Cassidy 'defeat' Glitchtrap a.k.a probably sending William back to his hell. But hey, that's just a theory, a GAME THEORY!
Well in the books there was in fact a digital version of Mimic, Mimic1, but it had a completely different manner of entry to the Pizzaplex than Glitchtrap did and like you mention there's a lot to indicate it's William.
As for Burntrap, I don't think it's at all likely that he's Mimic in any way at this point. Honestly I find it more likely Glitchtrap is a case of William taking over Mimic1 and using that to do what he wanted, with Burntrap just straight up being William's actual body, just modified to help him function properly.
But yeah. I was personally astounded that people looked at Burntrap, looked at Mimic, and went "clearly there is no possible way these are different things" given I had the exact opposite reaction lol

So I watched SuperHorrorBro's video on the FNAF Ruin DLC, and it presented a theory I am actually 100% on board with, which is Glitchtrap being the Mimic's first stage.
Basically, the idea is that the Mimic used Springtrap's/William's circuit boards to mimic his behaviors and used Afton's knowledge to make the V.A.N.N.I. mask to control and communicate with Vanessa.
After the Princess Quest ending (which seems to be the canon ending due to evidence from Ruin), the Mimic seems to have been trapped in the concrete-sealed room by Vanessa to keep it from spreading. It put itself into the endoskeleton we see in the game and learns more from its surroundings, including Gregory's backpack that we see in Ruin.
*Sidenote to this, I think it did the same thing with the Burntrap animatronic that it does with the endoskeleton, which is what I always thought happened except with it being Glitchtrap rather than the Mimic.
I like this theory because while Afton's "I always come back" is very memeable and worrisome, it gives us a new villain without completely disregarding the previous games while letting William rest as an antagonist. It would be genuinely frightening to see an AI with William's bloodlust and the ability to copy/mimic anything it comes into contact with be released to the world.
It helps make the modern game have ties to the old story while still being its own, rather than seeming like it was trying to cram in as much of the old stuff as possible like how it looked in Security Breach. We have new protagonists, new animatronics to enjoy, and now a truly new enemy.
(Also, SuperHorrorBro mentioned that since Cassie had the V.A.N.N.I. mask on, she may be vulnerable to being controlled by the Mimic like Vanessa, and I would LOVE for her to be a surprise villain in the next installment.
A part of this sidenote is a comment on the video, saying that since Gregory and Cassie's adventures appear to be done in one night, we might have three more new DLCs to make five nights, and I'd love to have new kid characters for each DLC with the previous ones being parts of the story. That's where I'd like to see villain Cassie.)
Edit: wAIT I JUST REALIZED What if the Mimic convinces Cassie that Gregory betrayed her (whether he actually did or not is up for debate) and that’s how it gets her on its side?!

The identity of the princess in Princess Quest
I personally consider myself someone who greatly adores Princess Quest. I love it, it seems incredible to me from its aesthetics and setting as well as its incredible soundtrack were the things that captivated me and made me buy Security Breach to be able to play it. However, there is something that I have always wondered about and that is who the princess of this minigame represents. There is a lot of debate about which of the candidates is so I am going to list them and then give my opinion (this is mine but if you have a different one I respect it just as you should respect this one)
Firstly there is the first candidate that everyone thought of when playing the first Princess Quest in the mobile version of Help Wanted, this being Vanny/Vanessa. At this time it was still barely said that they were the same person so only Vanny was considered the protagonist and how she became corrupted after being tricked by Glitchtrap. Little by little it began to gain weight that the princess was Vanessa and that Vanny was the corruption due to the darkness that surrounds us at the end of the first part. That is why in one of the interpretations it is said that the dark version of the protagonist represents Vanny while the light version represents Vanessa, although that is more of a theory.
The next candidate is Cassidy, this being taken into account for the first time in Security Breach when in the first version of the game the princess was called that in the game files. This was deleted some time later but many people defend this theory wanting to give this character a greater background and continuity. With her as a princess, many people see that it is another way of fighting the "C virus" against Glitchtrap and that is why Fnaf AR focuses on this virus that is related to Golden Freddy when the "it's me" appears
Finally there is Cassie (whose name is an abbreviation of Cassidy and this would explain why the princess was named that way) whom many of us considered the true identity of the princess. In the Ruin trailer we could see that she obtained Vanny's mask which she had in possession as the princess, so one of the interpretations that the people who defended this position took (it is not the only one by any means) was that Ruin would be like a kind of giant Princess Quest where Cassie must defeat the digital version of Mimic, this being the rabbit she saw in said trailer (which we would later know as MXES). But this completely fell apart when the ending of Princess Quest was canonized with Ruin since this whole theory had arisen after being set after the end of Burntrap. This is one of the interpretations of how Cassie was going to be the princess, of course there were more and everyone thought what they wanted and it is respectable but this was the one I defended. However, now it is nothing more than a theory but I do not rule out Cassie as a future "princess" or something like that since, according to the interpretation that I defend, she is going to become the "new Vanny" and it would be great see her star in her own minigame.
With all this said, I sincerely think that the princess is the representation of Vanessa/Vanny because since this ending is canonical we have Vanessa released, which we can see both in said ending and in the Brazil Ending of Ruin where she is with Gregory and Freddy. In addition, the subtitles refer to the friend who is with him as "she."
Even so, there is something that I would like to cover in another post and that is Princess Quest IV because this is very confusing and I would love to capture what I think happens and represents this last part.
I simply have to clarify for the last time that this is my opinion and that if you have a different one it is just as respectable because I think that the most important thing about Fnaf are the theories. These offer a possibility about a certain event that is seen in a certain way but it is not canon until Scott confirms it, so you have to have a lot of respect when talking about theories because they are all incredible and very necessary to see different points of view in a certain way. story point.

here's a funny lil talbert files rant lmaooo, compressed into a keep reading for yall's convenience. as a warning I do use both he and she pronouns for entom, and I am HEAVILY biased against her
oh and also ik that my opinion's near worthless on this topic and what's been said of importance has already happened, but i think the talbert files are completely bs and i'm glad that it's been proven as such, i've disliked entom since he first proposed that mimic burntrap theory and I genuinely think most of the shit she's done has harmed the fanbase more than anything else. I was really looking forward to the ending book for tales until entom just fuckin leaked the most important portions to it. hell, his mimic=burntrap theory has harmed fnaf theorizing irreparably, ignores multiple game's worth of precedence and enables cherrypicking through books.
kinda going on a tangent here, but I legit had a debate with someone who believed in the whole glitchmimic thing and they said that "only certain stories from the books are canon to the games" and like what??? what's the point then of the other books???? you mean to tell me that these specific books take precedence over UCN? and how glitchtrap appears in the game directly after it? bitch what?
and not to mention with how HW2 explicitly mentions how those plushies you collect are memories, and how the cut content mentions how "only a small piece of his code remains" both imply that afton IS glitchtrap (on top of ofc how the PQ sprite shows him as a big fucking purple monster, in a setting where afton shows up in the books also as a big fucking purple monster of parts, OH and on top of that the afton and vanessa relationship in the movie directly paralleling glitchtrap, and ness and the therapy tapes which mentions vanessa's father, a guy literally called bill) there is next to no actual reason to think of glitchtrap being the mimic.
oh and then there's the talbert files, which entom has said both that it's real and fake, and pretended it didn't exist? and the shit surrounding it had gotten to a point where scott had to step in and say it's fake? my god i'm so glad that her downfall's happened like this, no matter how he responds it won't look good, either she's lying about it being real and thus purposefully spreading misinformation to further his own headcanons, or she believed a source that was completely false info, and thus cannot be trustworthy when it comes to future leaks.
either way I cannot wait to see how entom's video on the talbert files pans out, because this entire situation could've been resolved with a picture of the book and they've not shown anything whatsoever so :33333333333, wonder how he'll attempt to dispute the words of the scott fucking cawthon

//Ruin Spoilers Okok so, I'm sure people have made this observation already but I haven't seen anyone make this connection yet so I'm making this post. At the end of Ruin, it's revealed that The Mimic is in the mainline games, but I've seen some debate on whether or not it really is Burntrap/Glitchtrap. But consider:
Tumblr media
We see very prominent stitching on Glitchtrap (who I highly doubt somehow isn't Burntrap). The way it's made, it almost looks more like a mascot costume version of Springtrap, and what is the Mimic main gimmick (aside from mimicking things)? Wearing mascot costumes.
Once again I know this is a really obvious observation and many other's have likely made it but I hadn't seen anything about it yet sooooo

So if William is MXES, does that mean Vanessa and Gregory made some kind of deal with Cassidy to transfer his torture from "play this sensory-overload inducing video game forever" to "be our security system"
yapped a lot so im putting it under the cut. tl;dr i like this idea, but i believe hes been freed from it earlier in the timeline, but im not against this, gonna think about it
i cant give a proper answer here as i dont have enough info from the lore to be content with it BUT i still see MXES as the system somewhat separate from the entity (the rabbit). the entity is inside of the system, but since we only hear the mimic say its something unwanted within the system, its unclear if its actually the system itself or just trapped within, (here its also hard to tell whats the mimic saying and whats helpi's words, as iirc helpi also mentions the entity as something unusual. though you could argue its unknown to the vanni network, because its a new part of the security system) though if the entity was somehow William then i would see more options, first repurposing some "code" from glitchtrap after getting rid of him, if glitchtrap was (or at least partially was) William; or from burntrap, if hes even canon, or something else - but that would be too convoluted) and using him within the system and pretty much trapping him there.
everything is still pretty unclear, i like your take anon, but in my mind he has been freed from the torture before HW, maybe similarly to frights (though the man in the room story is goofy as hell, i like the afternath. canonicity of the books aside, im not even saying the frights are canon, but perhaps can count as a parallel. and although its unused, i really like the beta entity design as a form of William and its a nice connection to the frights story, but sadly scrapped)
well. im not really a theorist, i just think of what sounds most fun to me. if cassidy is involved, guessing that would be connected through princess quest 🤔 could be! *shrugs* i will think about that. i do think Vanessa and Ggy worked with the system, hard to tell if they created it as from HW2 we can see its been in use before Ruin so they would either create it shortly after SB or it was already existing.. then they could use it to trap the last remains of glitchtrap. (or the security system is originally within the preexisting vanni system, and the mxes one is created by them, addinf the nodes?)
it all ties to the glitchmic debate which im TIRED of but i think theres something more going on and we can see a lot from color coding so... glitch is green, then magenta, the mxes system is magenta. mimic is orange. the entity is blue, white, but in the trailer they had the green and magenta glitching... so i still have some questions unanswered. but the entity being William makes me happy so i will think that still :] how he became that is still a mystery however!
sorry anon for making this so long, i know i should have just answered with a "haha yeah" but if i get to talk about william unprompted. im taking every chance 😔 anyway id like to see a cassidy confirmation or something too, like the PQ connection etc but i feel like cassidy moved on from trapping William a long time ago (and thats why hes back perhaps?)
yea i could go on forever and not come to a conclusion pfff

FNAF SB RUIN ANALYSIS
SPOILER ALERT FOR FNAF SECURITY BREACH RUIN
THIS MINITHEORY CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS FOR FNAF SB RUIN, CONTINUE AT YOUR OWN RISK
Tumblr media
Burntrap Design Analysis
Tumblr media
With all of the recent debate of whether The Mimic is Burntrap or Burntrap is canon etc I decided to try figuring out where all of Burntrap's parts came from, and see just how much they have in common.
The Mimic
Head - piece of Burntrap's mask still clinging onto The Mimic's cheek.
Left Hand - The Mimic's left hand is the same as Burntrap's just without the corpse bits that cover the entirety of his endoskeleton.
Left Foot - it is possible the Mimic's left foot was inside of the Spring Bonnie suit foot during Security Breach as it shares the general shape of the suit foot.
Glamrock Endoskeleton
Forearm - Burntrap's forearms are almost identical matches to Glamrock Endo forearms, the Glamrock Endos lacking the corpse and suit parts.
Pelvis - Burntrap has a Glamrock Endo pelvis, his being covered by the Spring Bonnie suit pelvis.
Shins - Burntrap has pretty much exact matches for Glamrock Endo shins.
Spring Bonnie (suit)
The entirety of the rabbit suit Burntrap wears is a withered Spring Bonnie suit.
Spring Bonnie (endo)
Ribcage - Burntrap has a broken Spring Bonnie ribcage.
Upper Arm - Burntrap's upper arms are from Spring Bonnie's endoskeleton.
Right Foot - while not an identical match to either, Burntrap's right foot resembles a cross between Spring Bonnie and Glamrock Endo feet.
Now, what does this mean? I'm not sure, but I have a minitheory I'd like to suggest
The Mimic's New Parts
The Mimic has a lot of new parts in its body by Security Breach. Since it does have some of Burntrap's parts and the TFTPP epilogues currently out imply he used to be Burntrap, I'd like to suggest the possibility that after The Blob/Tangle attacked Burntrap he was left heavily damaged, possibly missing pieces. Now, since Candy Cadet survived the FFPS fire, albeit damaged, I think it's possible The Mimic found the remains of the Mediocre Melodies, Rockstar, or Posh Pizzeria animatronics, using parts from each of their endoskeletons to repair his body.

After a week of pondering, I finally gathered a list of my thoughts/what I hope will happen with Secret of The Mimic. Keep in mind my criticisms are less from a negative place, and more of me knowing/wanting this game can live up to its potential. Okay, onto the list below.
• Have the game be non-VR or if they do want it to be VR, have both the VR mode and the non-VR flat mode be released at the same time instead of months afterwards.
• While I sort of don’t mind having comedic moments in the FNAF games, I think one of the major reasons why my favorite Steel Wool games are the first Help Wanted, and Ruin is because they focused less on the comedy. Though from what I’ve heard about the demo, it seems to be more horror focused, so that’s promising. Hopefully the rest of the game is like that.
• One prediction that Dawko and FuhNaff discussed about the game in a video is that the factory will burn down at the end of the game, and that will kind of explain why the Secret of The Mimic situation hasn’t been brought up before, but I quite honestly hope that does not happen at all in the game. It was extremely dull and lazy when it was done in Security Breach, why would you think it would work again? There are other creative ways to end a story besides just doing FNAF 3 again.
• On the topic of the books, since The Mimic is 99.99% the same The Mimic from the books, and this game is about the origins of The Mimic, Edwin Murray will likely be involved in the game because he was the one to create The Mimic in the first place. Whether he’s the protagonist or not, and or mentioned who knows, but the important takeaway is that it could end the debate on if Tales from the Pizzaplex is canon. That or it could be like the Into the Pit game, where it loosely bases stuff from the books and serves as an alternative for people who haven’t read the books and or have no desire to.
• While going off of the established lore from the games, books, and etc., the only threat at that time period would be The Mimic, I think the game would get pretty boring and repetitive very quickly if you only had one enemy in the game (I mean, look at how well that worked in FNAF 3). Maybe if you go off the established concept of The Mimic switching costumes like they do in the books, and changing their mechanics depending on what costume they’re wearing it could maybe make the game more interesting, but that sort of doesn’t really change the problem of there only being one threat. The solution to this is by going off of another established concept that The Mimic is capable of in the books and possibly Security breach. Being able to control technology and more specifically being robots. Going off of what’s been described of the demo by people who got to play it, while the factory that the game takes place in seems to be just making mascot costumes, there is a mail sorting S.T.A.F.F. Bot, and Jackie seems to be more robotic. So there might be a possibility that the factory is also making animatronics and or storing a few. The Mimic can take control of the other robots in the factory including Jackie (unless Jackie is The Mimic), so not only would there be more enemies in the game but there would be more story/gameplay potential. Heck, you can even still have The Mimic switching into costumes if you wanted to.
• The potential problem of nostalgia bait/adding past FNAF characters in the game. Look, as much as it would make sense to see the Afton family, the Emily family, Fredbear, Spring Bonnie, and or any other Clickteam Era character that would be alive/around in 1979, in a similar vein to how people thought about William Afton returning as Glitchtrap/Burntrap at the time before the revelation it was The Mimic (maybe? That’s still sort of debated about, which leads to another point I’ll bring up later), I don’t really want to see old characters unless there’s a solid reason for them to show up. Now it would make sense that at the very least that Henry Emily and or William Afton would play some part in the situation happening in the game since they are still (at the time) the owners of Fazbear Entertainment. So any situation like whatever is happening in the game involving characters/places owned by Fazbear’s would at least leave some impact on them. Plus they could maybe do something a little bit interesting with fact that none of the big impactful events in the lore have happened yet (Charlie becoming The Puppet, The Bites, the murders, Sister Location, etc.), but then again, if you really wanted a game/story heavily involving them, then just replay FNAF 1 to UCN, and read the original trilogy. The only three things from the past games that I somewhat would be fine with the game bringing up are ending two ongoing debates, and a joke solution to the “one enemy” problem. The debates being the official designs of Fredbear and Spring Bonnie, whether Glitchtrap/Burntrap is The Mimic, William Afton, or both, and the joke solution is having William Afton being an enemy in the game. Look I know that ironically this game is about the past, but this game is specifically about The Mimic’s past. It doesn’t necessarily have to also be about the past games. If there is no valid reasons to bring up the past games, then there is no reason to bring back/recall the same stuff again. Yesterday is history.
TL;DR: They should release both VR and non-VR modes simultaneously. Prioritize horror over comedy. Avoid revisiting past game elements unless they serve a purpose. Introduce more enemies to prevent repetition, perhaps by having The Mimic control other robots.

Are we still going to have to debate if The Mimic is Burntrap? We complain about them being vague then they’re as blunt as possible and we still have to bend over backwards to over complicate it.
