Just read a fic that I really loved parts of, and really detested parts of. It is a very unique feeling I haven’t had in a while.
#one part: god these characters 100% would do that#and one part: god these characters would 100% NEVER EVER DO THAT#Meh start#nice middle#insert Glimmer growling sounds about the ending#like the worst part is I see the logic#I get why they chose the path they chose and how they saw the characters doing/being that way#but also no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no nono#the vibe just turned rancid for me personally lol#and I hate that some of it is because of hard headcanons I have for the characters#and head canons aren't /canon/ it's the fun make believe on my own bits#usually those squicks and bugs don't bother so much but combined with what felt like weirdly OOC moments#that were both too cruel and too forgiving?!???!?#idk#I needed to whine about it somewhere to try and shake the vibes before I go editing my stuff#don't ask for specifics about this I'm not sharing more#the author wrote something that I'm sure they like and are proud of and I'm not here to harsh their mellow#but I gotta vague blog since I doubt they'll see this and if they magically do I doubt they'll know it's about them
