I like Young Sheldon but part of it is also imagining this family to be more dark, edgy and badass than they actually truly are lmao
#my mind is fanfiction#truth is I think Mary being a domestic abuse survivor would've been so much more powerful#but considering Big Bang was written by conservatives...well most of American tv is right-wing you won't have an actually story like that#even though it was implied that George was an abusive drunk...#i think it would've been groundbreaking dark humour#though i also can't help but be fond of the George Cooper Sr we got in Young Sheldon#he's one of the favourites in the show#so is Missy#i feel like Big Bang Theory missed an opportunity in bringing back Missy for a couple of episodes or having her in a long running arc l#like they did with Raj's sister#but ugh i do not want Missy to date Leonard#missy dating Raj would've been interesting#would've preferred her as a series regular over Bernadette and Amy tbh#especially as a role model and BFF for Penny#in my headcannon Missy worked part time as a waitress to pay her way through medical school#she became a psychiatrist#she did later persue a phd...#thinking about her is making me think about my own route in my career
