WV is such a good and interesting character and I love him so very much. The Warweary Villein. The Wayward Vagabond. The Wastelandic Vindicator. Just Some Guy who looked at the world and watched as it burned around him and said Not Anymore. A revolutionary built from nothing, who raised an army to fight against their king, who was a bastion for hope amongst the carapacians. He's so important to me.

real talk, though.

if vision quest is about white vision regaining his memories. even if she's dead, wanda should be in that.

you can't give me wandavision and then pretend that vision's memories wouldn't largely involve wanda. or you can, but then that would carry a through line of wanda caring more about vision than he does about her (or, at least, that his priorities were/are different - which you can support with infinity war and his decision to go jump into battle and leave wanda once he noticed the avengers needed his help). and regardless, she would and should still be part of those memories.

that would be the best place to confirm or deny what the mcu official timeline is speculating re: wanda's death because a white vision who truly regained his memories would also probably seek her out, depending on how he relates to those memories, even if he doesn't accept them into who he is or decides to be.

Ed lore time

Part 1 -> Part 2

Eddie grew up in a very, very small religious town in West Virginia. It was a town where everyone knew everyone, and from the moment Ed learned how to talk and walk, the town knew him to be...weird. He was a very smart kid, but he was skittish and off-putting - he would talk too much or too little, have odd routines or compulsions, range from anxious or irritable to withdrawn and melancholy seemingly without provocation. These obvious neurodivergencies Ed had caused people to start spreading rumors, and look down on him and his parents for not "fixing" whatever they thought was wrong with him

The fact that Ed wasn't the ideal child they'd wanted greatly pissed off Ed's parents. When they were younger, they had tried to "fix" him, correcting him harshly and reprimanding him when he fell out of line. This was all it was, at first, until an incident in Ed's childhood

Ed had always been a curious child. The education in their town was focused more on religion and the basics rather than anything that really fascinated them. Because of their utter lack of interest in what was taught (and the fact that they just didn't get on well in a school environment), Ed did absolutely terrible in school. They preferred to keep to themselves, their nose in any book they could possibly get their hands on

One thing that intrigued him the most were machines, such as computers. Seeing the inner workings of things such as cars delighted him; and working on cars, in fact, was the only thing he and his father ever bonded over. However, this interest for the things that went on *inside* would eventually grow from just the mechanical, to the biological

Eddie grew to love studying dead animals. While he had been born with low empathy, he never went out of his way to kill these animals himself - rather, he'd just explore them after they had already died. Except for one time

Ed had come across a rabbit caught in a trap while taking his daily venture through the woods behind his home. It was still in the process of dying when they stumbled on it, and while Ed knew the right thing to do was to try and help it out of the trap, they merely stood there and watched as it died, emotionlessly. All they could think about was how utterly fascinating it had been

He would think this way the first time he watched someone die. He and his father had been alone in the house when his father had started to have a heart attack. Watching the utter desperation - the *vulnerability* - on his father's face froze Ed in place; he needed *his* help, just like the rabbit had, and Ed had the power to deny or provide his help as he wanted. At this point Ed didn't wish his father dead, nor for any real harm to come to him at all, but it made him feel...powerful

Their mother would come in and call the police before his father would actually die. But from that point forward, Ed's father never forgave them for standing and watching while he pleaded for their help. He became crueler - physically violent as well as verbally - until over the years Ed's parents would just slowly start to ignore him more and more
