Unsure of what you're responding to here. Due to my lack of context, I will be replying in a more general sense, founded solely on the information currently available to me, as well as my own experiences and principles

So! I am going to presume good faith on the part of this anonymous ask, even though the phrasing appears deliberately reductive and inflammatory.

I could choose to respond to the actual substance of this argument and push back against the idea of indiscriminately treating all participation in an unethical system as equal, with no mind paid towards levels of culpability or inflicted injury

However, I think that would be ignoring the element I find most troubling here, which is the idea that anyone who has ever caused direct or indirect injury to another party should be unable to make a living. I prioritize restorative and reparative approaches over retributive ones, and would much rather focus efforts on preventing or reducing harm

Additionally, I have some suspicion that this ask may be responding to my post about AI and labor which has been floating around. If it is, please consider that marketing firms have company leadership and investors that make a great deal more money than their contractors do, and those executives are not in any danger of losing their money or jobs. The people most affected are making very little money in the first place.

I don't know if I was the only one who didn't know this but the aquadons were actually based on this, a prognathodon, not a mosasaur. But it is a close relative! Which honestly explains the name lol. Aquasaur just doesn't have the same ring to it

The troodon, aka the shredadon, doesn't have any close relatives, but it was mistaken a lot for pachycephalosaurs, aka the cementasaurs. Which I just find funny tbh

above all, it’s a comedy/adventure, like the mummy (1999) or pirates of the caribbean or pacific rim, where there’s a central plot and two characters work together the entire time and fall in love. hualian is a very soft ship, and they both really believe in each other (that’s kind of the point of it, unwavering faith and devotion. the book is about what it means to be fully loved and supported by someone). and there’s still a lot of tension there, and mystery, because hua cheng knows xie lian, but xie lian doesn’t know hua cheng. 

however, it’s mxtx so there is also a long, tragic backstory that lends weight and meaning to the lighter-hearted present story. and that backstory is really a gut-punch but it’s so, so worth it. books 1-3 i really enjoyed, but book 4 (entirely backstory) elevates the novel into god tier status. 

it’s so good. it’s so, so good.

so, you’ll get your HEA (which in this case is HEEA, happily eternity ever after) but by the time you get there, you’ve really earned it
