I will never forgive the 86 fandom for reducing Shin to just a love interest for Lena.
#when i first started reading the lns i didn't have strong feelings either way about shinl*na#i expected shin to become a blorbo for us all#i expected lots of fanart and analysis posts and character study fics#but instead 99% of all shin content now is just ship fodder#i'm halfway through the series rn and i'm pretty disgusted with lena's behavior toward shin#so she's already on thin ice with me#but the fandom straight-up romanticizing this behavior was really the final straw#it's just so disappointing since shin has been singlehandedly carrying the narrative since day one#he is one of the most accurate portrayals of ptsd i have encountered in fiction#and his inner journey#his journey to find a will to live even after everything#is what makes 86 great in the first place. it is what sets it apart from other war stories.#i'm so sorry they did you so dirty baby#shinl*na just leaves a bad taste in my mouth now which is unfortunate since it is endgame#it's just#ughhhhh#such a shame#vent#86posting#i'm sorry if this appears in any 86 tags#i don't want it to#i even censored the ship name so
