I’ve curated my Tumblr experience so carefully over the [*coughcough*] years I’ve been on this website, that it’s easy to forget this side of tumblr too. But every once in a while I find a comment that makes me go down a rabbit hole of reblogs, and it’s just MAGA patriots all the way down and a bunch of new accounts get added to my blocklist. sheesh.

#just tumblr things #personally would love to not have them here at all #but they don't break containment much #(just as I'm sure they say about our fan reblogs and discourse!)#and I do try to report the ones who are BLATANTLY breaking T&Cs #literally saw one the other day that had the n-slur in the handle #but mostly it's a bunch of dopey dick-measuring gun nuts #with a profile pic of either them in wraparound oakleys #an eagle/flag combo #a pic of a truck #or some kind of sepia-toned take on the constitution/bill of rights #reposting terribad FB political memes #putting facts about their cars and motorcycles in their bio #and liking a whole bunch of shitty pin-up clickbait #(LMAO none of them bother to hide their likes are you kidding me #that would require curiosity about how the site works #and there's nothing on earth #more fundamentally intellectually lazy and incurious about the world around them #than a conservative white dude)#cog gets personal
