Note
what's your favorite part of Ramadan in Pakistan? :)
Oooh a few things! Shorter fasts, for one (Fajr is later and Maghrib is earlier). Also, since it was in the summer, I could sleep late in the day without consequences (which is good because...Fajr is at dawn, so that cuts right in the middle of the night and disrupts sleep big time ๐Ÿ˜…)
For another, Ramadan being a big thing in Pakistan means people are generally more forgiving when it comes to exhaustion. For example: last time my family had Ramadan in Pakistan was when I was a teenager, and in my early teenage years, I used to take tennis lessons in the evening close to Maghrib/Iftar time (that's the best time tbh, because you work up an appetite and then you go home and it's time to break the fast. My instructor made sure I took plenty of breaks and didn't overwork myself...especially since I was fasting and thus couldn't have water.
Also, most of my family lives in Pakistan, so it's just nice to all be together ๐Ÿ’ž my immediate family is just a few people, and I love them, but Iftar is meant to be as much of a communal thing as possible...and I definitely felt that in Pakistan with my extended family all there.
