Ted Lasso is still following me. I'm still hung up on the ending of that series. I'm so hung up and still thinking about the ending that I had a long conversation with my sister about the RoyJamie thing and she doesn't believe me. She disagrees with the RoyxJamiexKeeley ship and does not really support RoyxJamie! How can she not see it?! Did she go blind while watching the series?!

I tried to explain to her that Jamie is the babygirl in Roy and Keeleys relationship and I even pointed out that they immediately went to comfort him in season 3 even though they had their own problems with their relationship. She doesn't see it! She called me irrational and delusional for believing and supporting those ships. Really, she should look behind the scenes and think about it and then tell me I'm wrong. Sometimes, she doesn't think behind the relationships that exist within the series. I don't mind, but it would be good for her to experience the joy I'm experiencing by discovering a ship in the subcontext of the series. Like, damn. It's not that hard to open your mind to different ships.

Furthermore, I mentioned Amsterdam and how we don't know what happened between Roy crushing his bike in the middle of the night and Roy and Jamie returning to the bus in the morning. There are so many possibilities what could've happened but she ignores them! Her ignorance is admirable, really. I mean, yeah, tumblr and AO3 helped me figure some things out about the ships in Ted Lasso but I also thought while watching the series that the ships could exist. They are possible and no one can tell me that they aren't there in the subtext. Maybe the writers just didn't realize what exactly they wrote and what that means to the fandom.

Also, I fell down another rabbit hole and found myself in the TedTrent universe and I'm loving it. I don't think I can ever let this series go, so I'm gonna rewatch season 3.

this is the jamie and zava touch anon dropping by to say that jamie this episode killed me, they got me with him being so excited about touring around amsterdam with roy and then they sucker punched me with that reveal. BUT i feel in my heart that the tour he took roy on and all the information about amsterdam that he imparted was actually from his trip with his mom which makes me want to scream into a pillow for about six thousand years just thinking about it. royjamie episode for the ages!

but jokes aside, I am sure at least some of that information came from his mom. I hope so. it makes it moderately more cheerful. moderately.

Uhh Kagehina royjamiekeeley and idk toh but lumity??? For the ask game

kagehina!!! literally my favorite ship ever. never going to get over them they are my dumb little guys for ever and ever. i think that hinata is transmasc and kageyama is non-binary and transfem. also i like them being in a qpr!! i think their relationship is so complex that they wouldn’t want to just call it romance. they’d want something More, and that’s what a qpr could be to them!

royjamiekeeley!! i put down unhealthy bc of the ethical dilemmas with royjamie but i think they’d like. talk with their lawyers and work something out bc football is too important to both of them for either of them to be reckless with it. anyway i love them <3

lumity <3 ok i have some controversial ones here. i think they’re t4t bc both luz and amity deserve to have funky queer genders. the fandom and later parts of canon simplify them to Cute Couple and that’s not the weird girls i know and love. luz would find a cool bug on the ground, discover what species it is and learn all about it, then show it off to amity as a romantic gesture. and amity would be genuinely super touched. that’s not what happened in later parts of canon. or in fanon tbh.

I shipped the throuple from season 1 and I feel so seen and validated by the fandom right now, finally 🥲

I started watching the show when season 2 was starting to air and I've also shipped the throuple from the onset (though I honestly can't remember if it was more the content of the show itself that did it or the fact that I first fell in love with Jamie, went on ao3 for gen Jamie fics, immediately read all of those, and then went into the ship tags for more content only to discover that the 20 or how ever many fics that existed in the royjamiekeeley tag were some of the best fanfiction I've ever read, lol).

I think it was a combination, because look, I know the jamiekeeley season 1 relationship wasn't good but they had an extremely compelling dynamic and friendship and the way Jamie kept turning up for her advice even after the breakup?? I loved it. Then the messiness of Keeley sleeping with him in an attempt to get with Roy, Jamie's sworn enemy. oh the drama!! TWO COFFEES ONE CUP. I think they've always had a magic to them, haven't them?

That said, I definitely shipped them in a "never in a million years is this is ever going to happen in canon but that's certainly not stopping me from shipping them" sort of way. So I have to keep pinching myself to remind myself that this season has given us more content than I ever could have dreamed for them. I'd never imagined we'd get Mom City. I'd never imagined we get the insane amount of royjamie content we've gotten this season.

At the end of the day, whatever happens in the finale, I'm grateful these three beautifully imperfect characters found each other and have undeniably made each other stronger and better versions of themselves, just by being in each other's lives. They are so tender with each other even with rough edges. Also they are incredibly sexy, lol. So like, thank you show.
