i love this lyric it reminds me of when i was like seven and all the neighborhood kids were out playing and trying to climb a big tree in one of our yards and no one could do it, but i finally found my way up it only for everyone to leave the yard and i couldn’t get down and none of them heard me call to them for help so i had to jump and landing hurt a lot bc i was too high up

#and then i walked home alone #tbh tho one of the things i miss most from my childhood is climbing trees #there used to be an apple tree in my front yard that was perfect for climbing and id sit in it all summer reading books and bird watchinf #and we used to have a bunch of pine trees lining are yard that id always climb waaaay too high up in #but they were dying and it wasnt safe anymore and finallt a couple years ago we had to have them cut down bc they were totally dead #and now there arent any trees i can climb :-(#one of the pines i had stashed a bird watching guide + a pair of binoculars in #bc all of my siblings were too scared to climb up that high #aaaaaaaa i miss it so much #bro i fuckin love. trees
