i’m so sorry for all the rude asks you get about your writing. People are so demanding and insensitive. I love your Simon and Trouble series, I am very happy whenever you update it but I understand that writing is on your own time and it is your art that should not be rushed.
English is not my first language, sorry if this is bad.
xoxoxo
thankfully i don’t get many rude anons, that was my first lol!
but yeah, the way some people treat fic writers is really insane. attitudes just reeking with entitlement. i don’t know why it’s so hard to understand that writing is not linear. some people lose interest in a series they’re writing, some people just need time to reorient and brainstorm where they should take it next. it’s very easy for some consumers to think of it as an easy process when most of the time i’m pulling my hair out in frustration lmao!! writers don’t need an anon making them feel worse because the amount of times i’ve seen similar asks directed to the writers i follow is crazy. this is not how you get an update, it’s how you make a writer hate writing.
ps anon i love u and your english is perfectly fine!!!

I find myself rarely thirsting over fictional characters (thirsting=/=fangirling in my case) but my god this artwork of him should be fucking illegal

🌙 nanowrimo 2022 — day 5 update 🌙
word count ; 7,385 / 25,000
progress ; honestly, going better than i expected! especially since i didn’t really have a plan for this story (a character with green-fire eyes, a scattered stack of notes, and a piece of string, to be exact.) i restarted the beginning a handful of times, but after mulling together a new character, the plot took a totally different turn!! in a good way!!
the butcher’s lament 🌙 chapter one glimpse —
“You shouldn’t be…” Adelade swallowed a few ragged breaths. Hair plastered the long planes of her face, dark strands streaking sweat and blood. “…You shouldn’t be wandering these woods.”
The girl nudged her extended hand, a suggestion and reminder, and Adelade finally abandoned caution. She snatched the waterskin and gnawed the top open, cold seizing her muscles as water poured across the red and angry wound. It would do little to alleviate budding infection. Fuck that mercenary with the rusted daggers. Tomorrow would find her before any medicine did.
This prayer was familiar. Ingrained in her blood. Until tomorrow, until tomorrow, the one mantra that collared the instinct to snarl and bite, that lifted the lids of her eyes when her waking hesitated on the dawn. Adelade quietly promised herself tomorrow, bade her flesh stay raveled, and took a deep swig of water.
The girl cleared her throat. “My name’s Pebble. Do you live in the forest too?”
“No.”
“Oh, so you live near the forest…?”
“No.” Adelade drank again, then stampeded over Pebble’s next attempt for a question. “Go back to your orchard. It’s dangerous here.”

idk if this is just a me thing and I just have rock bottom standards or if other people think like this but it’s just like...almost physically impossible for me to hate games. like as long as I have some decent fun with the gameplay and the story doesn’t drive me up the wall I’ll like whatever junk you throw at me. and even if either of those things are objectively bad as long as they’re ridiculous enough to get some laughs out of I’ll have a good time. am I just a weirdo
