Traditional Punjabi Juttis With A Modern Twist
In a world dominated by mass-produced footwear, traditional Punjabi juttis are making a comeback with a modern twist. These intricately handcrafted shoes have been a part of Punjabi culture for centuries. However, they are no longer confined to traditional attire but are being embraced as fashion statements worldwide. In this article, we will explore the history, craftsmanship, and contemporary appeal of Punjabi juttis.
THE ORIGIN AND HISTORY
Punjabi juttis, often referred to as 'mojaris,' have their roots deeply embedded in the vibrant culture of Punjab, India. These footwear pieces were originally created for Maharajas and nobility and were adorned with exquisite embroidery and embellishments. Over time, they became an integral part of Punjabi folk attire, symbolizing both culture and comfort.
THE CRAFTSMANSHIP
The art of making Punjabi juttis is a skill that has been passed down through generations. Craftsmen, known as 'juttisars,' meticulously handcraft each pair. These artisans select high-quality leather and adorn it with intricate thread work, beadwork, and sequins. The result is a beautiful and comfortable shoe that can take days to create.
MODERN INTERPRETATIONS
Traditional Punjabi juttis have witnessed a resurgence in recent years. With fashion designers and enthusiasts embracing them, these shoes have evolved to cater to contemporary tastes. Modern interpretations include juttis with a blend of traditional and western designs, making them versatile enough to be paired with ethnic and fusion outfits.
THE APPEAL OF PUNJABI JUTTIS
1. UNPARALLELED COMFORT
Punjabi juttis are known for their snug fit and flexibility. Made from soft leather, they mold to the shape of your feet, providing unparalleled comfort.
2. UNIQUE AESTHETICS

3. VERSATILITY
These shoes can be worn with a wide range of attire, from traditional Punjabi suits to modern dresses, giving you a versatile footwear option.
CARING FOR YOUR PUNJABI JUTTIS
To ensure the longevity of your Punjabi juttis, it's essential to follow some simple care tips. Store them in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight, and use a soft cloth to wipe away dirt. Avoid exposing them to water and chemicals, which can damage the intricate embroidery.
CONCLUSION
Traditional Punjabi juttis have transcended their cultural origins to become a global fashion statement. Their blend of tradition, craftsmanship, and modern appeal makes them a must-have in your wardrobe. So, why wait? Elevate your footwear game with these heritage treasures.

so after my italian renaissance class last year (which had a very big LARP element) i’ve taken the advice of my aunt and mom and decided to try to join the SCA. i’ve done some looking online and i’ve joined a bunch of facebook groups and emailed some folks, and i have my first event in my calendar! and now the next step is to make my garb (which frankly is where half of my interest stems in the first place).
so far i’ve just been doing a ton of research into medieval/early modern clothing, since i don’t have my sewing machine with me here in chicago (but i will be bringing it back with me when i visit home for christmas). so far i’ve started a big google doc of links to blogs and patterns and stores (i want to make most of my garb myself, but i am going to buy shoes because i have zero desire to take up leatherworking just yet), and next i need to plan out my outfit and the colors and whatnot. i’ve been torn between clothing from 14th century england and 15th century italy, but my actual persona is going to be italian so i’m going to start with that and then maybe make some 14th century garb for my friends, who i am also trying to get into reenactment with me.
the thing is, i already have patterns for both a medieval hood and a cotehardie, but it seems like for most of the things i want to make, regardless of era, require that i learn how to draft a pattern so it can be properly form fitting. so there’s a lot of sewing skills I’m going to need to work on!! thankfully i will have my mom around to help me when i go home for Christmas :)
hopefully i can pull something together before 1/6 for my first SCA event, otherwise i’ll have to find something to borrow off of someone, which does mean that i really need to start holiday gifts maxxing right now before i go home and have to start sewing like crazy (because i am insane and insist on handmade gifts every year)
anyway. i’m really excited about this!!! i’m really excited to join the SCA it seems extremely cool and fun and i’m excited to meet other people who are as weirdly invested in the italian renaissance as i am (🤞🏽🤞🏽). and i will definitely be posting garb updates:tm: as they happen

summer in Rome is like a bad dream. 104•F is becoming the normality, going out after ten AM is like doing a pre-hell early experience, and when you done finish paying for the groceries, avoiding your frozen food being reduced to a puddle is a though race against time.
with all the cute outfits i accumulated during the years, it’s a bum that i can’t really show anything off. Everything that is not a white tank and some old sport shorts would just be covered in sweat and being ruined after the first thirty minutes outside my house.
i have a confession to make, tho; i, a twenty-eight year old woman, in the year 2024, discovered sandals and open shoes. I’ll explain: when i was little, my sister used to tell me i have the “american girl doll” ankles - yeah, my sister is a bitch -; a girl from my class when we were twelve made fun of my “big feet” - i have a 26, a 38 italian measure.. it’s not that big, isn’t it?-; and as a last arrow right in my heart, a guy in highschool one day, without any prompt, just exclaimed to me “OMG Emma, you have such big ankles!”.
i never really cared about my ankles before i was circa eighteen, i didn’t know it was something people cared about, but thinking about it now, ankles were the things you had to show in the past to be sexy, so it kinda makes sense, i guess. I did a lot of researches about my ugly ankles, i discovered they are called “cankles”, it’s kinda a funny name i have to admit. I searched for celebs who had my same “problem”, it made me feel better, Lily Rose Deep is one of them, and she’s still a super sexy bomb.
Btw, because of my cankles and “big feet” i would never wear anything apart from sneakers. I had to be careful even with the sneakers because of my fucking cankles; for example high tops shoes make my leg looks more chunky, so i have to opt for the lower ones: New balance are perfect. Platform sneakers or shoes also are a good option, the beige naked wolf are amazing. Ok, who cares???? sorry i was digressing. What i was trying to say is that this year i finally wore FLAT SANDALS with dresses, skirts and shorts, flaunting my cankles! lol
Ok, for today that’s kinda all, even if i have so many things to say, and nothing at all. I really want to buy a bag of ketamine but there is no one in the city rn, what a nightmare! btw this is my first time on tumblr, i had myspace but completely missed the “tumblr era” cause i wasn’t very much online, kinda regretting tbh, real life sucks.
good night!

how would you define dr. lights gender identity?
Let me give you way too many words for a boring answer. (And of course, this is how I see her, anyone is welcome to headcanon her in any damn way they please.) In short: mainstream-Light (not an O5, not a god) is cis by default. She does not have a strongly-felt gender identity and is a little skeptical that anyone does. In the same way that I (known asexual) will still hear someone say like “a good sex life is important to me in a relationship” and at first think “yeah, sure,” that’s her w/r/t anyone having much of a gender.
Her presentation wiggles a little. She used to present fairly femme. Autism, masking, even after leaving her family she found it easier to get along if she has a Role she can Perform clearly enough. People come up to her. She gets a little more flexibility. Mars comes around with her dapper aesthetic and suddenly Light has a place to fit in, a role to belong to without tying her down. She accumulates clothing with tolerable textures and figures out enough Fashion to put together outfits.
When Light's old world ends and she's recruited to the Foundation, she has to figure out who she is from scratch. The Foundation is unlike anywhere she's worked before. For all its faults, the Foundation does care less about certain things.
When she finally puts some effort into her appearance, she goes for Utility rather than any particular aesthetic. She wants to look formal and trustworthy but mostly doesn’t want to have to think about it. Her hair is long enough to get it out of the way. She doesn't wear makeup because she doesn't like things on her face, and also, who wants to bother. She orders clothing out of online catalogs and tugs at the sleeves of shirts that don’t quite fit right.
When she breaks her hand badly and can’t always get the braces through the buttons, she ignores it and fights her way through for as long as she can. It comes to a head after her breakdown when she has to replace most of her wardrobe, which she should have done months ago. In her defense, you never really get in the habit of remaking your existence.
You’re still making choices, her psychiatrist tells her. It's fine not to worry about it. You don’t have to be making a statement about everything all the time. But you can’t completely sacrifice fashion at the altar of practicality – that’s not how it works, there is no such thing as truly neutral clothing. Are you sure you don’t care what people think of you? (For other reasons, Dr. Sabourin is one of Light’s worse psychiatrists.)
Light thinks she can get pretty close to pure practicality, thank you very much. When she’s promoted to Level 4, she tries on thirty six different brands and sizes of garments, and buys a closet full of the best ones - the exact same white Oxford shirts, camisoles, and those yoga pants that look like black business pants. Throw in some synthetics for exercising and she's good. She never needs to think about it ever again.
Later she adds one detail – and if it’s a little bit to spite Sabourin, that’s fine, she’s made her peace with it by then – which is the wingtips. She falls in love with a particular Italian workshop and orders a new pair every other year. They’re custom-made, exactly like men’s shoes but smaller, because her feet are small. They are, objectively, worse than sneakers: more expensive, less comfortable, less traction. She kicks her feet against her desk, scuffing the leather, and stares at the broguing. She really likes these shoes. It’s silly, right? It’s silly.
Ten years down the line, she finally, quietly, stomachs the thought: Mars would have worn these.
Even that much later, her closet is basically identical. Her system is fucking good, thank you. The additions are a few outlier outfits for special occasions. One shirt that is A Color (green) and has some embroidery, for casual events. A few t-shirts with various animals on them received as presents, that are not accounted for by her system but get worn nonetheless. A suit, for weddings and such. Boots and cold weather gear for dayhikes and seabird-watching in Svalbard. A single clean labcoat for when she needs to appear somewhere as A Member Of Senior Staff(TM) (and she will complain to anyone nearby about that not being the point of a labcoat, because of who she is. But she sees Sabourin’s point by now, clothing is about signalling as much as comfort.)
Light doesn’t know what the wingtips mean. She doesn't need to. Mostly, what she wants to signal is “I want you to listen to me" and "I want to get back to work.”
-------------------------
That said, Light, of course, comes in different versions with their own stories going on. It doesn’t really surprise any of them that they have different gender situations, except in as far as provoking questions like “some of us sure seem to have different chromosomal situations, how does that work? If we’re not genetic clones what does that even mean for us to be the same person??”
O5-2 "The Nazarene"’s story is different. I want to do more with her but need to up my weird esoteric gnostic queer theology game before I commit to anything. But I’m tentatively thinking something like: You need to be a certain kind of person to be the son of god. To be responsible for everyone. You can present as whatever the hell you want, but for certain ploys to work, people – even just a group of people that happen, for no good reason, to be at the center of the universe for a few moments – need to believe you. It’s easiest to believe it yourself.
If you’re already serious about being responsible for everyone, for becoming an icon, you don’t even need to think about the question: do you want to become this kind of person? Of course you do. It’d be like thinking “I want to bake bread, but do I want to be the kind of person who kneads bread?” You can stress over this. It’s totally possible. No one’s stopping you.
But you can also just knead bread.
No one’s stopping you.

The Peloton, The Prius, & The Party: A Halloween Story (by Hypnofur)
Tumblr media
The Peloton: This story really starts at Memorial Day. Well, the small Memorial Day Cook Out that Isabella DiMartino and her husband John threw. It was a small crowd, but there were a few unexpected guests. Derrick, a friend of John’s brother ended up coming with his new girlfriend. The new girlfriend was very pretty, and wore a sexy sun dress. All of the guys were all goofy around her, because they were so taken with her. John included. He wasn’t inappropriate, by any means, but Isabella could tell he thought the girl was hot. Isabella had always been chubby. Lots of pasta dishes and canolis will do that. As usual during the cook out, Isabella was complemented over and over again for her amazing cooking and her great hostess skills. All the while, the not invited pretty girl, Ava, was really the hit of the party. It was at that moment that Isabella decided to buy a Peloton.
She started working out each morning, and the schedule very much agreed with her. She soon changed her diet as well. John lost 10 pounds just from the change in her cooking. However, John wasn’t really trying to lose weight. He had always liked Isabella the way she was. (And he LOVED her cooking). However, he was a good husband, and he supported her new passion for fitness… though he secretly hoped it would be short lived.
The Prius: The second catalyst in this story is John’s Prius. Well, it is really more about the box truck that hit his Prius on September 15th. The collision pushed his small electric car off a bridge. Not a massive bridge like the Golden Gate, but a small bridge over a little river. The car went into the river, with John inside.
He was fine, outside of a busted wrist and some bruises. However, his Prius, and his I phone were not. Between insurance and confusion with an apple id, it took him a month to get a car and his phone back. When he finally logged in, he saw a ton of messages and texts. That included an invite to a Halloween party from his brother’s friend Derrick, the one who had the smokeshow girlfriend (Ava). John secretly wondered what sexy costume she would be wearing for Halloween. He decided he wanted to go to that party.
The Party: Isabella felt like she was going to cry when John told her about the last minute get together. She had just gotten home, and John had called from the car. He could tell in her voice that she was very upset, though he had no idea why. He didn’t see it as such a big deal.
But, John didn’t realize how jealous Isabella had been of Ava at the Memorial Day Cookout. Nor did he realize how Isabella had been planning to wear a sexy Halloween costume herself this year. She was a good Catholic, Italian American girl. She always had been. The pudgy, trusted friend who was a great cook. Like all women, she knew that Halloween was the one time of the year that good girls could dress kind of slutty and get away with it. Hence, she had been planning to get a fairly sexy costume together since she started realized how great her body looked at the end of the summer.
Then came John’s accident. The worry, the constant rides to each other’s work, the fighting with the Apple Store people. It had been a whirlwind of a month, and she hadn’t been able to go to the Spirit of Halloween store and try some things on to figure out what she was going to wear. Now, with what was turning out to be a surprise Halloween party that was an hour away and likely the only one they’d get invited to all season, she was realizing that she had blown her opportunity.
She was kicking herself for not just buying something online. However, her first foray into that had not worked well. She bought some leather pants that were tighter and shinier than she was ready for, and she bought some high heeled shoe things that were waaay higher than she thought they were going to be. It was when those arrived that she realized that she had to see things in the store.
But, the Sprit of Halloween store was like 45 minutes away. Long Island traffic on a Friday night in October was crazy, she’d never make there and back in time. Nevermind actually having time to try something on and feel good about it. She felt a tear of frustration and defeat roll down her cheek.
She called John to tell him that they couldn’t go, but when he picked up the phone, she could hear the excitement in his voice. “I heard Derick’s place is awesome. The have a DJ!” he said excitedly, “I bet he is just having this party so he can show off that girlfriend of his! I wonder what she’ll be wearing?” John laughed.
“By the way Is, I’ll never make it home to Farmingdale and then to Dereck’s place in Garden City. Can you meet meet me there? Hey, can you also just like cut up two sheets for us? We can just go as ghosts. It won’t be exciting, but it will get the job done.” He asked.
That was it. John had inadvertently triggered his wife. Her Italian temper got the best of her. She hopped in the shower. She did her make up more dramatic than she had ever done it in her life. Her thick, black hair totally cooperated, as if it knew what was at stake. She pulled on the tight leather pants and checked out her ass in the mirror. She was shocked at how good her it looked. ‘Man, the Peloton was worth it’ she thought. She grabbed a black, satin Victoria’s Secret Bra. She knew she couldn’t just wear that. Looking in her closet, she saw a black faux fur vest. She threw that on over the bra. No shirt, just the faux fur vest and a bra. She then put a belt around it to show off her tiny waist. Lucky, she had a head band with some cat ears on it from a few Halloweens ago. By wearing that, she could claim this slutty black outfit was some kind of cat costume. She finished it off by grabbing the ridiculously high heels.
With that, she stumbled out the door, holding on to things around the house for balance as she left. The heels made it impossible to walk. How did girls like Ava walk in these?
Isabella wasn’t the only one thinking about Ava as the party began. Pretty much all the guys invited to the party couldn’t wait to see what her costume was going to be. John was no different. His work was closer to Garden City than his home in Farmingdale where Isabella was leaving from. He scanned the group of parked cars as he arrived and realized her car was not among them. He had gotten to the party before she did, which he was glad about as he figured he could sneak a few extra glances at whatever sexy thing Ava was wearing without being caught by his wife.
“Bubba!” everyone yelled as he entered Derrick’s very cool condo. They had called him Bubba for years, since he was a lineman on the North Bellmore football team. He was only one year older than his brother, Vincent, and most of Vinnie’s friends had become his friends. Derrick was part of that crew. They had all been to John and Isabella’s wedding, etc.
“Dude, where is your costume?” Vinnie asked to his brother as soon as he walked in.
“Izz is going to bring something.” John replied, his eyes scanning for Ava.
“Bro, bad news.” Vinnie added. “Ava dumped Derrick. She met an Islander.”
“An Islander? Like a hockey player?” John asked, stunned and disappointed.
“Yeah. Derrick is crushed. Don’t bring it up.” Vinnie said. Of course John wouldn’t. All the friends in the group had been warned. They were all trying to be sensitive about it.
However, Derrick’s neighbor, who was simply known as Timmons, was not warned. Nor was he sensitive. Timmons was a tall, thin, nerdy man who was always trying to hang around with Derrick, despite being ten years older than most of the crew. He had also become terribly infatuated with Ava over the last few months. Not surprising, but Timmons wasn’t exactly subtle about it.
He also wasn’t subtle about the fact that he was very, very disappointed that Ava wouldn’t be coming around any longer. John and Vinnie’s friends were annoyed by Timmons lack of empathy towards Derrick, but they also couldn’t help but laugh about how Timmons seemed more broken up then the actual guy that got dumped. Truthfully, they never understood why Derrick hung out with him so much.
Soon the shots of cool guy whiskey came out. John was up for it, as he knew Isabella could drive him home in her car, and they could pick up his later. The drink was flowing, and so was the laughter. Lots of jokes about John’s Prius in the river. The Prius had always been a source of wicked joy to John’s friends. Big guy in a little car and all that.
The laughter stopped dead as Isabella walked in the condo though. It was like the record scratch trope. Everyone just stopped and looked at her. Jaws open. They couldn’t believe what pudgy, lovable Isabella looked like tonight in her black leather pants, fur vest/satin bra combo, and crazy high heels.
John just stared openly. He was absolutely shocked. He knew she was getting in shape, and that she had been looking great in her jeans, but he never imagined she would look like this. The rest of his friends played it right and tried not to stare at their buddy’s wife. Their eyes were anywhere but on Isabella.
John approached her and told her she looked amazing. She was so nervous walking in. His support really helped. They laughed about how she basically couldn’t walk at all in the heels and she gave him his cut out “ghost sheet”. John looked around and saw his friends keep sneaking glances, much like they used to with Ava, but they were really trying to be good. He appreciated that.
Timmons, however, had no idea who Isabella and John were, and didn’t care. He was thrilled to see another hottie come to the party. He went up and introduced himself. John made sure to let the tall weirdo know that Isabella was his wife. Timmons again didn’t care.
Isabella tried to be nice. “Cool costume. Are you a circus ring leader or something?” she asked. He had on a purple and green old time tuxedo type thing, with a large purple top hat. The top hat had a black and white spiral on it. Timmons went into some big long explanation of how he was some comics supervillain that most people wouldn’t know because he hadn’t made it into the movies.
Thankfully, one of the crew came and rescued them and brought them into the party mix. Isabella was less disappointed than the others about the Ava news. She was actually having a great time, despite the fact that she couldn’t stand up in the heels. Eventually, she was just sitting on some steps at the front interior entry way to Derrick’s swank bachelor pad as the guys drank.
Timmons wasn’t drinking though. He was…reassessing. For months, he had been planning tonight. Tonight was supposed to be the night that he would live his fantasy of getting the beautiful Ava deep under his hypnotic control. However, due to the stupid Islanders hockey player, that wouldn’t be happening. Timmons was still angry, but as he looked at Isabella sitting there on the steps, he realized maybe he didn’t need to punt on his entire plan.
The tall lanky man looked over at Derrick, laughing with his friends. They were such a sophomoric bunch. He pulled out his phone and texted the host:
Derrick, tell everyone it is time for the hypnosis demonstration
As soon as Derrick heard the special text notification sound that was now associated with Timmons’ texts, he immediately stopped laughing and took the phone out of his pocket. He texted back right away.
Yes Lord Timmons. As you command.
Derrick immediately sprung into action. “Hey guys, did you know Timmons is a hypnotist? It is cool as hell when you see it live!” he announced. His friends looked at each other, each taken aback by the out of nowhere comment.
“Yeah, he did it at this cool party that he brought me too. It was wild. Timmons, dude, you should do it tonight!” Derrick pushed.
“What, oh no. I couldn’t. No one wants to see that” Timmons feigned as he waved Derrick off. But as previously directed, the host insisted. Soon Timmons brought out his specially designed hypno wheel, and played a special melodic tune through Derrick’s Sonos system, which he was already synched to.
As she sat on the hardwood steps, Isabella found this all very strange. This Timmons guy was weird, and for all the time she knew Derrick, she had never known him to act like this. In truth, she was hoping the party would end soon. As the drinks flowed, the guys from the crew were having a harder and harder time keeping their glances subtle. While she always thought she would have loved the attention, it was a bit unsettling tonight, with her in this crazy outfit.
Meanwhile, Timmons finished setting up his giant hypno wheel as his special music continued to play. He had the volume pretty loud. The hypno wheel was really just a black and white spiral that spun. Isabella sat quietly and watched as the Hypno wheel turned. She could barely hear the wise cracks of the crew over the melodic music as the disk spun around and around. It was kind of like watching a record label spin on the turntable of a stereo… except it was more interesting, more fascinating than a record. A lot more fascinating.
Not that it was working to entrance her, of course. ‘This dumb thing and creepy guy can’t hypnotize me’, Isabella thought to herself.
But it was incredible to watch, she reflected—the way the spiral seemed to become larger, as though it were drawing her in. Surrounding her. Becoming the only thing she could see, as the music and his voice were the only things she could hear, the only thing she could think about, the only thing she wanted to think about.
Tumblr media
She was truly enveloped by it all, ‘But’, she said firmly to herself,  ‘it’s not like this guy could actually hypnotize me.’
It’s not like this guy could actually hypnotize me… It’s not like… This guy could actually hypnotize me… This guy could actually hypnotize me… This guy—could actually hypnotize me… This guy could—hypnotize me… Could…hypnotize me… Hypnotize me… Hypnotize me… Hypno…tize…me… Hyp…no…tiz…
Isabella sat staring at the spinning Hypno wheel, her face and body as still as a statue. The drunk crew didn’t notice her as the Hypnodisk took her deeper into trance. They were too concerned with making fun of Timmons as the pretty Italian wife was oblivious to everything outside of her own mind, the spiral of black and white and Timmons voice was the only thing that mattered.
The crew’s jokes were getting louder, as they thought the whole schtick was a bust. Their laughter quieted as Timmons approached the entranced Isabella. It was only at this point that they were starting to wonder if he had gotten her under his sway.
“Isabella, you hear only my voice. Only my voice matters. Do you understand?” he asked her.
She remained completely still. “Yes, I understand.”
It was the sexiest thing Timmons had ever heard. Her voice was soft and still, like the coo of a dove.
 “Yes, that’s it. Just listen to my voice, and follow my suggestions. You are hypnotized, deeply hypnotized, in fact, and you love being hypnotized, don’t you?”
“Yes….”, she agreed passively.
“Yes, You love being hypnotized, and listening to my voice while being hypnotized. And as long as you continue to listen to my voice, and follow my suggestions and commands, you will remain in this deep hypnotic trance you love so very much. Do you understand?”
She paused, then, “Yes.”
“Very good. Now I want you to repeat these suggestions as I say them—and as you do, they will become an essential part of your way of thinking—they will become an essential part of your way of life. And as you repeat my suggestions, and stare into the spinning Hypno wheel, you will become more deeply hypnotized, more willing to follow my suggestions and commands, because you love being so deeply hypnotized. Do you understand?”
“Yes.” Isabella answered, more firmly this time.
The crew definitely wasn’t laughing anymore, they were starting to realize that Isabella might just actually be hypnotized by this tall, creepy stranger. Despite his drunken haze, John was starting to become concerned about this little parlor trick.
“You have been deeply hypnotized by Lord Timmons.”
“I have been deeply hypnotized by Lord Timmons”
“You love Lord Timmons hypnotic control and hypnotic power”
“I love Lord Timmons hypnotic control and hypnotic power”
At this point, John intervened. “What the hell man?” he slurred angrily towards Timmons.
Timmons laughed it off. “Ok, ok. I’ll get to the fun stuff” he said, seeming to relent. John was still wary, but relented a bit.
From there Timmons played off of Isabella’s loose interpretation of a cat costume. He had her crawl around on the floor and “meow”. All the guys watched Isabella’s now very toned ass sexily sway in her leather pants. Even John paused for a moment, as he had never seen his dear wife’s body quite move in this way, however, when he started talking about how badly the ‘kitten wanted her cream’, John had seen enough. He grabbed the guy by the lepels of his stupid ring leader costume and demanded this be over right then.
Timmons knew he wasn’t a fighter. He obliged and awoke Isabella. John and the crew figured gave Timmons a dirty look and asked Derrick ‘what was with this guy?’. But soon the drink flowed again and the laughter came back.
Timmons was annoyed that he couldn’t do more with the beautiful Isabella in that setting, but he figured outsmarting this group of dullards in order to continue his dastardly plan would be child’s play. He took out his phone and texted Derrick: ‘Get really sad about Ava’
With that, Derrick’s eyes welled up. He started crying in the middle of Tommy’s story about the time Teddy stole a fishing boat. The crew didn’t really know how to react. Despite the fact that they had been friends for years, 99% of their interaction had been teasing each other or talking about dumb guy things. Empathy and support were hard for them. They all looked at each other as Derrick broke down.
Timmons acted fast, pulling out his phone and texting the sobbing man. ‘Go to Isabella, ask if she can be a shoulder to cry on. Bring her upstairs.”
Despite his heavy crying, Derrick still checked his phone when the special tone went off. He read the text and complied. His friends, including John, were happy that he went to Isabella. This was really more of a situation that a female would be better handling. The guys were all ill equipped for this sort of emotional intelligence.
When crying Derrick and supportive Isabella got into the room, Timmons was already there. His plan had worked perfectly. Soon he had Isabella, and Derrick, back in a deep trance. She was absorbing his words and his commands in her receptive, hypnotized mind.
Despite the fact that he was drunk and having a good time with his friends, John was still mad about the whole Timmons hypnotism thing. Who did that guy think that he was? You can’t just take control of someone’s wife like that! Especially on the night when she looks hotter than she ever looked in her life. That dude was probably just a creep. John glared in the direction Timmons had been. He wasn’t there. John scanned the room. No sign of him. He started to get nervous.
John excused himself from the conversation, and poked his head in the kitchen, looking for the lanky jerk. No sign of him. He checked the bathrooms, both were open. Maybe he was outside getting a smoke? John went to both the front and back doors of the condo, but found nothing. He was sobering up quickly as his adrenaline started to pump.
Meanwhile, up in Derrick’s bedroom, with the door closed, Timmons was completely focused on Isabella. “More and more aroused as you hear the sound of my hypnotic voice. I am the sexiest, most powerful, erotic man you have ever met. My hypnotic power arouses you more than anything in the world. You are more aroused than you’ve ever been be---“ he said as the door got kicked in.
“What the fuck!” John yelled.
Timmons panicked. He knew he was about to get his ass kicked. “Derrick, attack him!” he shouted. Derrick immediately awoke from his trance like state and pounced on John. However, John had a significant size advantage and easily through the host to the side of the room.
The crew had clearly heard this disturbance, as they were just downstairs. They all rushed up to see what the problem was. During their entrance, Timmons had wisely snuck out the window. All the condos in this complex were built the same, so he knew full well that there was a small roof on the other side of the window, that lead to another small roof area and ultimately a clean escape from the large jealous husband.
Isabella had never been woken from her trance. She was barely responding to John. Their friend Tommy, who was three years sober, and thus hadn’t been drinking, offered to drive Isabella and John home. John was grateful, and took him up on the offer. It was a silent and surreal ride home. Upon arrival, John thanked Tommy, but told him he could take it from there. He helped Isabella inside the house and to the couch, as she was still pretty foggy. Figuring one of them needed to be of clear mind, he went to the kitchen to get himself some coffee. He had bought her a Keurig for Christmas last year. It was one of the only kitchen appliances he knew how to use.
Isabella had never been awoken from her erotic hypnotic trance. She was still very much feeling the affect. In fact, she could feel the wetness between her legs as her hands caressed the soft leather of her tight pants. She inched ever so closer to her warm pussy. John saw this from the kitchen, as he almost spilled his coffee. This slow self-seduction was driving both her and her voyeur husband wild. Her delicate hands were slowly and seductively touching not only her leather clad legs, but her faux fur vest over her breasts, and her long, now slender neck.
John had never seen her move so… erotically. He had been so turned on by watching her move so sexually during the hypnosis show. Still drunk, John had shed all inhibition and was soon fisting his penis in anticipation of what might happen next as he watched her from the doorway of the kitchen. Isabella, for her part, was on the verge of doing something similar as she took off her boots and leather pants.
Still lost in the erotic haze of Timmon’s spell, she was lightly massaging her inner thighs. Her fingers danced around the outer rim of her pussy lips, rounding closer to their goal with every stroke. With a deep sigh, Isabella slid her fingers below the waistband of her panties, in almost unison John gave the same deep sigh. He had never seen his sweet, demure wife like this.
Isabella lightly traced circles around her clit before she edged a finger inside herself. The instant wave of pleasure from the insertion caused her to arch her back off the couch. John was treated to an elegant display of her newly perfect form as she pleasured herself. For his part, he was nearing his own completion, trying to match her strokes as she brought herself off.
John nearly lost himself seeing her as she gained momentum, her moans began to hit a fever pitch. Her crotch involuntarily bucked towards an invisible partner, she added a second finger to her pussy. Her breathing began to come in short rapid breaths and she tried to stifle her moans and squeals. In her mind, she was still hearing Timmons’ erotic suggestions.
John thought it would never come, but finally he watched in awe as she threw her head back, mouth open, breathing heavily. John felt his hard penis twitch and could not contain his load, emptying himself onto the floor below.
For Isabella, her orgasm felt like an eternity, her pussy loving her moving fingers, she grabbed her breast hard. It was pure pleasure as her whole body tensed and twitched on the familiar couch that she and John watched TV on every night. She screamed out in orgasmic bliss in a way that she never had before.
As she slowly came down, Isabella’s breathing slowed. The view for John was intoxicating, she looked like a pure sex goddess, laying in the afterglow of her tryst. He was not sure if he should try to wake her, or just let her bask in the post moment of whatever sexual experience had just over taken her. He had never been so aroused by his own wife. He had never really seen her in this way.
Overwhelmed by the new feelings overtaking him, John fumbled backward and knocked over a lamp on the table next to him. The loud crash startled Isabella and she sat up, seemingly coming up from her lanquishing trance state for the first time. John wasn’t sure if she knew he was there or not. He quickly tucked his deflated penis into his pants, and tried to act as if we was just walking into the room.
“Are you ok, babe?” he asked carefully.
She looked at him for the first time since the whole hypno thing. He could see she was still a bit out of it. “Yeah” she said quietly.
“Do you know what happened?” John asked his wife.
She looked at him with her big brown eyes but said nothing. He couldn’t tell what she was thinking, or if she was even thinking at all.
“You were hypnotized” he told her.
As she processed that, she thought back to the last few hours, the white hypnodisk, Lord Timmons’ voice. So many feelings rushed over her. "I'm gonna jump in the shower” she said quietly.
Just having Lord Timmons’ hypnotic control flash through her mind was enough to get her aroused again. (And, she legitimately felt like she needed a shower). She stepped into the warm falling water and closed her eyes. Her mind wandered back to a fantasy. She was back in Derrick’s condo, watching the spiral and listening to Lord Timmons’ words in her mind. In the shower, her hands wandered her body, still tingling from both the sexual activity and her racing mind. In her fantasy her hypnotist loomed over her. Just as her orgasm begun to arise, she opened her eyes, and saw his lanky body in front of her, still wearing his top hat. She never stopped playing with herself, her fluttering eyes wandered over hypnotist, moving downward to the jutting cock he was stroking before her.
She whispered to the man."I love Lord Timmons hypnotic control and power."
He remained silent, watching and stroking.
In the shower Isabella stood under the stream, gently stroking her tender pussy. She inserted one finger, then two as she imagined this powerful wizard pleasuring himself before her. God, she felt so wet. In her daydream she pulled her tits out to show the hypnotist, hoping he approved of her form. He remained silent staring down at her, expectantly. She focused on her hypnotist's cock, she wanted to reach out and touch it, to kiss it, to show him her appreciation of his wonderous sexual power. She whispered again, this time out loud in the shower.
"I love Lord Timmons hypnotic control and power." Fantasy Isabella raised her now athletic legs and peeled her black leather pants and satin panties off, spreading her legs for the hypnotist. Her wetness showing her desire to give herself to him. He knelt and she felt the heat of his cock against her smooth inner thigh.
"Put it in slave." He commanded, she reached over to guide him home. She complied happily. As her fantasy continued, she added a third finger to her sopping pussy in the shower. Gently thrusting into herself at first but gaining pace as the fantasy Timmons fucked her in her dream.
She breathed deep, trying not to yell out into the shower and alert her husband, who she could barely focus on at this point. In her fantasy, Timmons took her with long, hard strokes. She matched his pace with her fingers, furiously fucking herself in the shower. It didn't take long at this pace, she felt her pussy quiver and contract and she came right there, half bent over in the shower one arm holding herself up, the other buried as deep as she dare in her pussy. As she came, her hypnotic master pulled out of her, his cock covered in her wetness, he fisted it up and down a few times and it spew forth load after load of hot cum and she cooed as it covered her heaving breasts and stomach.
She collapsed in the shower, now totally out of breath, and spent she let the water fall over her.
Meanwhile, unbeknownst to John, her phone received a text from Timmons, ‘time to come get your cream kitten’.

A Regular Day For Griffin Fogarty
A story about how Griffin Fogarty met a Demon.
I was working on Griffin’s profile when I thought about this fic I made a while ago, detailing the story of how he met his Servant. I want to make similar stories for the rest of the Masters as well, but...well, I’ll get to that eventually.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What a beautiful day, ain’t it? The sun’s shining, the birds are chirping, and the car exhaust is as rotten as it was the day before.
“What a beautiful day.” Griffin Fogarty repeated his inner monologue, only questioning his sanity for a few seconds before sitting up. Reaching his arms up above his head to stretch, he promptly banged his knuckles on the metal roof of the van he called home. He recoiled and rubbed his mildly sore hands. “Jesus, I really need to stop doing that.”
Seriously, there were indents from how often he’s done that.
To start off the day, he did his morning routine as anyone would. He neatly folded his thin blanket and placed it on the upper right corner of his mattress before throwing open the van’s back doors and slipping on some gym shoes. Griffin hopped out onto the blacktop of the gas station parking lot to go buy some breakfast.
The familiar jingle of digital bells greeted him when he entered, along with the bored expression of the clerk at the door. An old Italian woman, with a voice ragged and scratchy from years of smoking, but she was kind and gave him free reign of the drink machines.
“Hey, Griffin.” They said, just like always, with a heavy accent. “Just the usual?”
“Yes, please! Oh, actually I just got paid yesterday, so I might be able to splurge a bit more this time.” He placed down a crumpled up ten dollar bill with a cocky grin. “I’ll actually pay for my coffee this time.
The woman’s name tag reflected the morning sun into his eyes, displaying her name. Janice. She smiled at him, perhaps the first expression of interest she’s made today. “Really, now? Why don’t you use it for something better.”
He denied it at first, but she kept insisting, so he eventually relented. Griffin roamed the three short aisles of snacks and occasional premade meals before choosing out some trail mix, a salad, and a Gatorade for when he gets thirsty. There weren’t many options he could choose when it came to meals, as most of them contained meat, but he’s grown to like what little he had. He also got his usual coffee order, adding as much cream and sugar as humanly possible in the tall paper cup filled with slightly burnt vanilla flavored coffee.
Janice scanned his things and handed him his precious change before they bid their farewells. Today was a weekday, and he only got gas on Sundays. He hopped into the ripped up, sun bleached driver’s seat of his van and sped off into the city he’s memorized like the back of his hand.
The gym was his first stop, as always, where he greeted the man at the front desk who only worked Mondays before heading off to his usual round of machinery. He had no need for exercising this frequently every morning, but it was a nice way to get him energized and ready to take on the world.
Also, gyms had showers, and since he didn’t exactly have a home, a corresponding gym membership would allow him to use said shower all he wanted. Which he did, for maybe a good thirty minutes afterwards.
Today was an off day for him. The past few days have been off days for him, mostly because he couldn’t find work after being let go from his old job, and it was rare for anyone to come to him of all people for appliance maintenance or locksmithing no matter how much he advertised it online. The only exception was yesterday, when he miraculously snagged a job helping someone locked outside of their home.
After changing into much cleaner and less sweaty clothes in his van, he then drove to the local library. Having a library card was also a much needed expense since they had free wifi, computers, and, of course, books! Grabbing his old backpack that was practically ripping apart from years of use, he headed inside and plopped onto his usual spot at one of the many wooden long tables inside.
Griffin was still a student after all, taking a few online classes over the summer partly for fun and to finish off some electives he missed before. School was difficult, but having a full ride made things a bit easier, or at least it motivated him enough to keep trying for at least a B+. Without it, he’d probably have gone into debt which he sure as hell didn’t need when he didn’t even have a home.
His stomach’s incessant growling signaled the end of today’s work session. As he left the library and navigated through the parking lot, he mentally tallied up the money he had saved up along with the number of places to eat at. In the end, he decided on his favorite taco truck that was always close to where some of his friends lived. It was hard being on the streets as a vegetarian, but the owners of the truck were kind enough to start making vegetarian options for him.
He was about to start the engine when he noticed a slip of paper peeking out from the lower left corner of his windshield. Griffin stared at it for a few seconds before fear ran through his spine. He let out a defeated sigh and got out to retrieve the ticket.
“Come on, New York, what the hell did I do wrong this time?” He groaned and pushed the door open with his foot. “Seriously, you see a guy living in a van and think he’s a criminal or something….”
When he grabbed the ticket, he was surprised to see that it very much wasn’t a ticket. In fact, it was a parchment adorned with a golden eagle wax sealing. After peeling it off, he opened it up and read a fancily written letter.
To the head of the Fogarty family,
Fortune smiles upon you today, oh fallen blacksmith. You, whose family has all but perished, have been given a chance at redemption. The Holy Grail of legend, an all powerful wish-granter, has been planted in New York City. You and six other Mages shall conduct a ritual known as a Holy Grail War, in which you summon a familiar, a phantom of the past, at your side and defeat your fellow Mages so as to win ownership of the Grail. Only one Master and Servant will win this. If you search the back of your van, you will find the materials needed to start the process, however, a catalyst to help assist with summoning your Servant is not provided. Perhaps you already own one, as the heir to a family of talented armorers.
Good luck,
- Quentin Rambert
“What the fuck?” Griffin exclaimed aloud, turning the heads of a family entering the library and causing the parents to glare at him. His face heated up, and he yelled out, “sorry!”
Obviously, they didn’t care about his apology, and the kid didn’t care at all about what he said either.
He turned his attention back to the parchment in his hands, which weighed as much as the world itself. A chance to wish for anything he desired, and all he had to do was kill six other people and their familiars.
Griffin wasn’t unfamiliar with the idea of killing someone, though he never did. He was still a Mage, and his pride as a Mage still burned within him no matter how long it’s been since he lost everything so many years ago. Nonetheless, he was still inexperienced, and he lived in a van of all things. If anyone found out, he’d be better off as death fodder.
But…there was still a chance for him to win, right? All he needed was his familiar to fight with him and a catalyst to help summon them.
He crawled into the back of the van through the driver’s seat and found a duffel bag containing another large parchment containing a summoning circle, the directions and incantations to summon the Servant, and an address.
After looking it up on his phone, he discovered it was an old abandoned store in a practically barren part of town. It looked shady, but then again, most Mages were.
Griffin weighed the odds, but he began to imagine seeing his family’s faces again. His mother’s kind smile and his father’s tough gaze that always encouraged him to succeed. He shut his eyes and pictured that scene countless times before coming to an answer.
“Alright, Quentin. I’ll accept this offer of yours.”
The only problem, of course, was a catalyst. Some item meant to help summon this Servant of his own. Considering he was homeless and also very poor, there wasn’t much that he had much less could use as a catalyst.
But then a thought popped into existence in his mind. He hoisted the mattress off the floor of the van revealing a garbage bag filled with mementos of his past protected by bubble wrap. After rummaging through family pictures, documents, and some personal keepsakes from his parents, he found it. The first sword he ever made that earned his family’s approval, and it was the start of his journey as a Fogarty before it all came to a screeching halt. He sold a lot of his tools that came after that for money, but he could never quite let go of this one. The blade itself wasn’t perfect, with the edges slightly jagged and starting to rust from years of being hidden away. Even the pommel was barely attached to the hilt, and the leather sheath it was in had started to rot away.
But it was his, and maybe it could give him some badass Servant to boot.
He drove to the address on the paper, only getting lost once trying to take a shortcut along the way. Eventually, he arrived at the empty square and headed inside past the cracked nonfunctioning automatic doors.
Either a storm passed through it or a fight broke out, because the whole place was wrecked and filled with debris. A long gash wrapped around the entire store, with overturned shelves and carts all slashed in half in a manner that looked way too clean to be anything natural. Obviously, none of this was natural, but….
“You’ve accepted our invitation, then?”
The shadows spoke in a shrill, cocky voice. Emerging from the darkness came a young man several inches shorter than him. He was dressed in a black suit lined with gold, and the insignia of an eagle was branded on his shoulder. The man strutted his way over to Griffin, staring straight at him with green eyes shimmering with some sort of electricity. Smoothing his dirty blond hair back, he remarked, “call me Quentin. I’m the heir to—”
“The Rambert family. Famous and rich modern day aristocrats who’ve served New York for years. I-I read your stupid invitation or whatever.” Griffin waved the parchment around in his hands, only to realize that he just yelled at the heir of a rich and powerful family who could probably sick the fucking mafia or something on him. “Uh…I mean, yeah, I’ll be in your Grail War.”
“I’m a bit honored you know me.” Quentin stood up straight and bared his chest out in pride. “Then again, everyone knows me.”
“Why are you here?”
“To observe the birth of a new Master, of course.” They replied. “It’s not everyday that one gets to be in a Holy Grail War.”
Griffin wasn’t exactly buddy-buddy with any Mages, much less the famed Rambert family. He was immediately suspicious, and all of his brain’s alarms flared up with every passing second, but it’s not like he had a choice. If he rejected, there’s no telling what they might do to him. Though if he accepted, there was also a chance that Quentin might kill him on the spot.
His only choice was to do the ritual.
He glared at the man but tried his best to continue as usual. He laid out the parchment of the summoning circle and placed his old sword in the center. Quentin raised a brow at it and said, “you’re trying to summon a Saber, then? Going for a strong Servant from the bat, aren’t you?”
“If it helps me win, then I’ll do whatever.” Griffin stepped back a few paces and held up the paper with the incantation. With a catalyst, it made the whole process much easier, so all he had to do now was start the ritual.
“Let silver and steel be the essence. Let stone and the archduke of contracts be the foundation. Let fire and brimstone pay tribute. Let rise a wall against the wind that shall fall. Let the four cardinal gates close. Let the three-forked road from the crown reaching unto the Kingdom rotate!”
The moment he started the incantation, energy poured out from his body in the form of flames that burned the parchment away, leaving the now glowing shape of the summoning circle. Quentin’s face was illuminated in the light, giving his cold expression an eerie glow.
He continued.
“Let it be declared now. Your flesh shall serve under me, and my fate shall be with your sword. Submit to the beckoning of the Holy Grail. Answer, if you would submit to this will and this truth.”
His sword trembled, absorbing the summoning circle’s energy before shooting out a pillar of pure light up into the ceiling. A gust of wind shoved him back, but he managed to keep himself from falling over. As he spoke, a deep voice repeated his words moments after they left his tongue.
“From the Seventh Heaven, attended to by three great words of power, come forth from the ring of restraint, protector of the holy balance!”
The light promptly disappeared in the blink of an eye. The energy surging through the summoning circle faded away like embers crumbling off firewood. It was just him and Quentin once more.
“Did…it work?” He asked above the ensuing silence.
Quentin said nothing but pointed at his right hand. When he looked down, he found a lion’s head branded on his skin like a tattoo. Its jaws were open in a ferocious roar, with eyes that pierced right through his being. It burned, but no matter how much he rubbed at it, they didn’t smudge.
“Those are your Command Seals.” Quentin explained. “They are proof of your title as Master. They’re powerful spells that allow you to order your Servant to do anything, regardless of power or will, but remember that you only have three. Use them wisely.”
Suddenly, they started to ache even more after hearing that information. Did they really just freely give him the spells to give his familiar absolute orders? Griffin looked around the store, not finding a single person, and a part of him wondered if the ritual actually worked. HIs Servant was nowhere to be seen.
“I…uh, don’t know what to do now.” He murmured in a feeble attempt to fill the silence.
“What we do now is kill each other.”
Griffin choked on his spit. He stumbled backwards, tripping on an empty cart and falling on his ass. Quentin approached him at a snail’s pace, but it didn’t ease the fear creeping into his throat. “Wh-what?”
“With you, our final Master, the Holy Grail War has officially begun.” Lightning crackled between his fingertips which he clasped together, smiling with bloodlust. “The objective is to kill six of the seven Servants, but considering they’re much more powerful than regular humans, it’d be easier to target the Masters. Starting…with you.”
Oh fuck. Oh shit. He was about to die. Griffin Fogarty was about to die. He tried to move, but found himself paralyzed by the growing static electricity in the air. His nose hairs burned with the scent of ozone as clouds gathered above them. Quentin snapped his fingers, sending a bolt of lightning to strike the ground in front of him.
At first, he thought the man just had bad aim, but the sound of footsteps growing closer behind him told Griffin that it was done on purpose. It was a signal.
He turned his head to come face to face with a spear flying straight at his chest, held by a warrior in silver armor. His brief, miserable life flashed before him, and it only made his impending doom feel even more disappointing. After trying so hard to turn his life around after losing everything, this was where it all ended.
“Pick yourself up, Griffin Fogarty!” That same deep, echoing voice spoke both in his mind and in reality. Milliseconds later, a sword, his sword, deflected the warrior’s blow. The wielder was a samurai, or at least someone dressed in the thick plated samurai armor that he’s only ever seen in movies. Despite his sword being a standard European style longsword, they wielded it similarly to a kendo player and used it to parry the silver-clad warrior’s strikes with their spear.
The samurai stared at him with blood red eyes, almost like a demon. His words shook Griffin to his core, like they were commands etched into his very being. “Your life shall not end here. Be brave, Master.”
All of the fear and horror that froze him in place melted away. He pushed himself to his feet and looked over to Quentin’s direction. The man furrowed his brow in anger, yet he didn’t seem surprised by anything that happened. “Lancer! Distract that Servant, I’ll take care of him.”
Electricity gathered in Quentin’s hands as he prepared a spell, but the samurai was much faster than that. He kicked the other Servant, Lancer, in the gut and sent them flying all the way across the store. Then, they were gone in the blink of an eye and reappeared right in front of Quentin, striking them in the nose with the butt of his sword.
Their spell fizzled out as they stumbled back clutching their bloodied nose. Quentin glared at them as Lancer ran to his side with his spear pointed at Griffin. “Alright, you pissed off the wrong guy. Servant or not, you’re still outnumbered.”
The air shimmered as dozens of men with assault rifles appeared from the shadows aiming their laser sights at him. His Servant took up a defensive position, holding up an arm in front of him as some sort of shield. They then huffed and said, “I assure you that you are the one who is outnumbered.”
Plumes of smoke swallowed up the men as the sounds of fighting ensued. Seconds later, when the dust settled, figures cloaked in dark blue clothing that blended in with the darkness stood over the now unconscious gunmen. For the sake of his sanity, Griffin ignored the blood staining their katana.
Lancer took one step towards them before Quentin ordered them to halt. A smile formed on the man’s face, almost seeming satisfied as he applauded Griffin saying, “I must admit, you’ve outsmarted me. What may be a setback to my parents is a job well done for you. You’re one step closer to winning the Grail.”
“Is the Grail a trap as well?” He asked, “is all of this one big elaborate scheme?”
“I assure you that the winner will receive their prize in the end.” They answered, grabbing onto Lancer’s forearm. “I can’t assure you that I’ll help you, though. Maybe the other Masters will be willing to cooperate. Outside of us, there are five others that you will have a chance to meet tomorrow.”
Griffin tensed at the sound of meeting the other participants in this war. He couldn’t help but imagine Mages equally as powerful as Quentin, paired with deadly Servants that could take down a hundred men without so much as lifting a finger. His own Servant’s eyes burrowed into him as they said, “be calm. I will protect you with my life.”
He gathered his courage and forced out his fears through a heavy sigh. “What do you mean by that?”
A few seconds passed before they replied, “a banquet will be held at the Rambert estate outside of the city. This will be your chance to assess the competition and for us to celebrate this momentous occasion. Please, try to wear something fancy. There’ll be a strict dress code.”
“B-but I live in a van, you think I have the money for a suit and tie?”
Quentin shrugged, “not exactly my problem, now is it? I don’t have the time to help you anyways. Being a Rambert’s pretty busy work. Come on, then, Lancer.”
With the loud crackle of thunder and lightning, the pair vanished. As his adrenaline faded, so too did his energy. He fell to his knees clutching at his chest trying to catch his breath. His Servant then pulled him to his feet and gripped him by the shoulders. “Are you alright, Master?”
“Y-yeah, thank you…for everything, and all that.” Griffin managed a smile. “So, you’re my Servant, huh?”
The samurai nodded before sheathing Griffin’s sword and hanging it at his waist, right next to the far sleeker curved katana. They bowed deeply as they said, “you may call me Saber. I shall be your blade from now on, Master.”
“Uh…just call me Griffin.” He laughed nervously. “Master’s…a bit weird of a name.”
“Lord Griffin, then.”
He had a feeling that was the closest Saber would get. Griffin motioned for them to leave the store, and as they did, he couldn’t help but eye the shadows wondering if those men from earlier were still in hiding. “Uh…Saber, where’d all your guys run off to?”
“They are my Noble Phantasm.” He explained. “I can summon them on command to fight and spy for the both of us.”
“Um, mind if I ask what that is?”
Saber nodded. “We Servants are Heroic Spirits, phantoms of figures of the past and fiction. We are given special abilities known as Noble Phantasms that represent the legends that we are known for. Some may wield holy swords, like the legendary King Arthur and Excalibur, while a samurai such as myself is given command over three hundred men. In turn, you are also given that same privilege.”
Griffin’s mind wandered off to a certain BBC show of King Arthur, and how the king definitely sparked an interest in him. He threw that thought away as he slid out of the store and into the parking lot. The sun had set, bringing with it the blanket of night. He didn’t like being in parking lots at night outside of the gas station he’s basically called home for years. It was so dark, and sometimes eerie as well. However, Saber had such a strong presence that he felt the need to be strong as well.
“Do you have a name, Saber?” He asked. “Your…real name. I don’t remember any samurai named Saber in history.”
“It is just a cover name. There are seven classes of Servants in a Holy Grail War, and Saber is one of them.” They answered once more, and Griffin suddenly felt bad for asking so many questions to a man who only just came into being a few minutes ago. “My True Name…the name I was given in life…is Hanzo.”
“Hanzo…that’s a much better name than Saber.” Griffin laughed, throwing open the door to his van and sliding into the driver’s seat while allowing the Servant to rest in the back. “I’m guessing these True Names are supposed to be kept secret?”
Saber nodded.
“Huh…must be weird, you know, to never be called by your name. I wonder if you Servants ever forget who you were back in the day.”
No response.
Griffin was beginning to see how most of their conversations would turn out. He hid his disappointment and drove out of the square, suddenly doubting his actions and the future. Perhaps most importantly, he began to doubt whether or not his wallet could handle having another mouth to feed. He could survive for today, sure, but what about the coming days? What about the literal suit and fucking tie he’d have to buy for tomorrow?
He decided to go and ask his friends tomorrow for help. They were all rich anyways, or at least they had homes unlike him, which Griffin considered wealthy enough. Too tired to do anything else, he pulled into the gas station, headed inside to fetch another pre-packed salad and a chocolate chip cookie as dessert, before flopping onto the mattress in the back of the van.
Saber observed him as he wolfed down his food with reckless abandon. Griffin felt a bit awkward since he’s never exactly had guests in his van, but he did his best to ignore it.
“Are you sure it’s safe to be out here, Lord Griffin?” Saber questioned, eyes roaming the nearly empty parking lot with a hint of unease. “We cannot be stuck out in the open like this, when there might be enemies at every corner.”
“It’s the safest I can manage.” He answered, “considering I don’t have a place to go other than this ol’ thing.”
Griffin proceeded to bang on the van’s walls, causing Saber to freeze and then slowly nod. “I see…so you have no home?”
“I’ve been living on the streets for a couple years now, ever since my parents died and their house burned down.” Griffin cleaned up his hands with some hand sanitizer before stuffing his trash in a plastic bag to throw away in the morning. “All they left me were this van and the tools they made, before I had to sell those for money. That sword I used to summon you is the only thing I couldn’t sell.”
“It is a fine sword.” The Servant unsheathed the blade and held it up against the light pouring out from the gas station. “Whoever made this holds great potential as a craftsman.”
His chest burned with pride hearing those words, and he smiled, sitting up a little bit straighter. “Thanks. It’s the first sword I made that earned my parent’s approval. I could probably make a better one now, but…a blacksmith can’t exactly do his job without the tools, and buying those tools takes money that I obviously don’t have.”
It was the worst thing about his situation. If he just had the tools, he might just be able to start earning a living for himself. But in order to do any of that, he needed money, but he also needed money for food and paying for his phone or gas and all the fucking things homeless people still deal with despite not having a home.
“A blacksmith?” Saber questioned, “there’s far more to you than meets the eye, Lord Griffin.”
“Heh…yeah. My whole family line made their legacy as blacksmiths.” Griffin hung his head and conjured up memories of his childhood. The roar of a furnace and the constant hammering of metal always sounded so comforting to him. For a long time, he could never fall asleep without hearing the sounds of fire crackling in the background. “We made a lot of things…and I sold them all, just to get enough money to survive.”
In hindsight, it was a bit dumb, but he was a dumb teenager who didn’t know how to survive on his own.
They sat in silence. Griffin shifted around before eventually laying down on his bed and wrapping himself as best as possible in his blanket. It was getting late, and if he wanted to wake up early to get that suit, then he’d best sleep now. Maybe it’ll give him a bit more time to dream as well.
“Rest well, Lord Griffin.” Saber said. “My men and I will keep you safe, both you and your dreams.”
He heard the Servant exit the van and shut the door. Normally, Griffin was still paranoid sleeping out in the open like this, even with the door’s locked, but today felt different. Then again, not everyone had some badass samurai and his retinue of three hundred ninja to protect them.
As his eyelids grew heavy with exhaustion, Griffin fell asleep, and he fell into the warm embrace of his dreams where his mother and father still lived, and a place where he wished he could live as well.
Matching Your Feet to the Perfect Shoe: A Guide for Every Foot Shape"
Ever felt like your shoes are more of a pain than comfort? You're not alone! Picture this: you find a pair of shoes that look amazing, but as soon as you slip them on, you get a reality check of discomfort. Imagine buying a dream car with uncomfortable seats. That's like settling for ill-fitting shoes! Why settle for a shoe size that's 'close enough' when you can have one that's just right?
Well this is because in a country like India, where foot shapes vary widely, understanding the needs of your feet is crucial for maintaining optimal comfort and health. These different shapes demands footwear that caters specifically to their needs for comfort, support, and durability.
 Let's delve into the three prominent types of Indian feet and their corresponding pain points!
Roman Foot Shape: The Roman foot shape is characterized by the first three toes being of almost the same length, with the other two toes tapering down in size. Individuals with Roman feet may experience pain and discomfort due to cramped toe space in shoes that are too narrow. To alleviate this pain, opt for square-toed shoes that offer ample room for the toes to spread out comfortably.
Egyptian foot shape: In the Egyptian foot shape, the big toe is the longest toe, with the lesser toes slanting downward at a 45-degree angle. While this foot type is more common and easier to accommodate in most shoes, individuals with Egyptian feet may still experience discomfort if the shoes are too tight around the toes. Look for shoes with a wider toe space (rounded shape or square shape) to prevent pinching.
Greek Foot Shape: Greek foot shape have a second toe that's bigger than the rest,  If the shoes are too tight, it could get problems like claw toes or hammer toes, which can hurt and make the toes look funny. It is recommended to  wear shoes with a shape like almonds that give enough room for the longer second toe. This helps avoid discomfort and keeps the toes in the right position.
Picking the right shoe size is super important for feeling comfy and avoiding foot issues. Shoes that don't fit well can cause problems like bunions, corns, and ingrown toenails. Make sure to measure your feet often and get shoes that match your foot shape and size perfectly.
At LOUIS STITCH, we're all about making shoes that feel as good as they look. Our handcrafted MASTERPIECES are made from the Top grain Italian leather, so you know they'll last a lifetime. Plus, they're designed to mold to your unique foot shape, giving you that perfect fit every time.
Ballet
Ballet is a style of performance dance. It originated in the 15th century during the Italian Renaissance and later formed into a concert dance in Russia and France.
Pointe shoes
Pointe shoes are a type of ballet shoe worn by female ballerinas to allow them to dance on their tiptoes.
The tip of the shoe is made up of densely packed layers of fabric , cardboard and sometimes hardened glue. The entire body weight of a dancer is balancing on the block at the end so it has to be extremely sturdy. Each shoe is different and custom made. Not one single shoe is the same.
Tumblr media
A dancer can not just buy a pair of shoes and dance. There is multiple steps to starting on pointe. To start with, the dancer needs to have strong enough ankles, feet and legs, and a good stamina. After the shoe is bought they need breaking in. Every dancer does this different ways. most dancers rough up the sole with a carpenters file, some smack the shoes on the side of a wall the soften them, some pound with a hammer. All dancer have their own elastic and ribbon to hold the shoe to the foot.
Maria Taglioni was the first ballerina to dance on pointe that we know of in the early 1800s. Although the method probably started much earlier.
The life of a Ballet Dancer
Being a ballet dancer is both physically and mentally demanding. Every day, dancers often spend hours doing extreme training to maintain their skills and physical fitness. The performance aspect of their job can be exhilarating, but it requires discipline and dedication. The dance industry can be extremely competitive and having a stable job and financial security is a challenge they must be willing to take on.
Voice Search and Paid Social Media Services
Tumblr media
In today's fast-paced digital landscape, staying ahead of the curve is essential for businesses looking to thrive in the competitive world of online marketing. One of the most significant developments in recent years has been the meteoric rise of voice search technology. Voice search has rapidly become an integral part of our daily lives, thanks to the widespread adoption of voice-activated digital assistants like Siri, Google Assistant, and Alexa. This shift in how we interact with technology and search for information online is poised to revolutionize various industries, including digital marketing. In this comprehensive exploration, we will delve deep into the future of voice search in Paid Social Media Services, shedding light on its potential implications and offering valuable insights for businesses aiming to harness this emerging trend.
Understanding Voice Search
In its simplest form, voice search is a technology that allows users to interact with devices and search engines using their voice. It is a dramatic departure from the traditional text-based search paradigm, where users type keywords to find information. With voice search, the user experience is more conversational and natural, with users asking questions or making more prolonged, descriptive queries.
Key voice-activated digital assistants like Siri, Google Assistant, and Alexa have permeated our daily routines. These virtual helpers are not confined to smartphones but also reside in smart speakers, cars, and other smart devices. As a result, voice search has become a ubiquitous tool for information retrieval, making it increasingly crucial for businesses to understand its implications for digital marketing.
Voice Search and SEO
As voice search continues to gain prominence, it is causing a seismic shift in the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) world. Businesses and marketers must adapt strategies to remain visible and competitive in voice search results. Here are some critical aspects to consider:
1. Long-Tail Keywords: Voice search queries often take the form of longer, more specific phrases or questions. To optimize for voice search, businesses should incorporate long-tail keywords that align with how users ask questions verbally. This includes words like "best Italian restaurants near me" or "How do I bake a chocolate cake?"
2. Natural Language: Unlike traditional SEO, which often revolves around short keywords, voice search tends to be more conversational. Content should be crafted to mirror natural language to match how people speak when using voice search. Instead of targeting "buy shoes," consider optimizing for "where can I find comfortable running shoes?"
3. Local SEO: Voice search is frequently used for local queries, such as finding nearby businesses, restaurants, or services. Ensuring your business is well-optimized for local search is paramount. Accurate and up-to-date business listings on platforms like Google My Business can significantly enhance your visibility in voice search results.
4. Featured Snippets: Featured snippets, also known as position zero, have become highly coveted in the age of voice search. These are concise, information-rich snippets at the top of search engine results pages (SERPs) and are often read aloud as answers to voice search queries. Optimizing your content to appear in featured snippets can significantly boost your visibility.
Voice Search in Social Media
Social media platforms are not immune to the influence of voice search. Leading platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter actively integrate voice search features to enhance user experiences. Introducing voice-activated commands, voice messages, and even voice-activated ads has the potential to reshape how businesses engage with their audience on these platforms.
Voice-Activated Ads: Consider this scenario: a user asks their voice assistant for recommendations on products or services. This presents businesses with a unique opportunity to create voice-activated ads that provide personalized responses to user inquiries. For instance, a user inquiring about the best vacation destinations could trigger an ad for a travel agency specializing in dream getaways.
Paid Social Media Services and Voice Search
The convergence of paid social media services and voice search presents exciting possibilities for advertisers. To leverage voice search effectively in paid social media marketing, businesses should consider the following strategies:
Voice-Responsive Content: In the voice search era, create voice-responsive ad content. Encourage users to engage with your ads by asking their voice assistants for more information about your products or services. For instance, a retail ad could prompt users to "Tell me more about this product" to receive additional details.
Monitor Analytics: As you embark on voice search-driven ad campaigns, monitoring performance metrics closely is crucial. Analyze data related to these campaigns to gain insights and refine your strategy. You can enhance your results and ROI by continuously optimizing your campaigns based on user behavior and feedback.
Tumblr media
Preparing for the Future
To remain competitive and future-proof your digital marketing efforts, preparing for the increasing prevalence of voice search is imperative. Here are some strategic steps to consider:
Stay Informed: In the dynamic world of digital marketing, staying informed about voice search trends, tools, and best practices is paramount. Continuous education for yourself and your team is essential to stay ahead.
User-Centric Approach: Always prioritize the user experience. Ensure that your content, whether in ads or organic posts, provides genuine value to users and effectively addresses their voice search needs. A user-centric approach is critical to building trust and loyalty.
Conclusion
The future of voice search in paid social media marketing is teeming with potential. As this transformative technology continues to embed itself into our daily lives, businesses that adapt their strategies accordingly will undoubtedly gain a competitive edge. Voice search represents a significant shift in how consumers seek information online, and it's incumbent upon marketers to embrace this evolution.
Get the Best Deals on Scarpe Antinfortunistiche Economiche
Tumblr media
When it comes to workplace safety, investing in the right equipment is crucial. One essential piece of protective gear that cannot be overlooked is a pair of safety shoes, or "Scarpe antinfortunistiche economiche" in Italian. These shoes are designed to protect your feet from potential hazards, reducing the risk of accidents and injuries.
The Importance of Safety Shoes
Before we delve into the realm of affordable safety shoes, it's important to understand why investing in high-quality footwear is essential for workplace safety. Safety shoes provide protection against various workplace hazards, including falling objects, sharp edges, electrical hazards, and slippery surfaces. By wearing scarpe antinfortunistiche, you significantly reduce the risk of foot injuries, such as punctures, crushes, and slips, which can lead to long-term disabilities or even fatalities.
Factors to Consider When Choosing Safety Shoes
While affordability is a significant factor, it should not be the sole consideration when selecting safety shoes. Here are some key factors to keep in mind:
Safety Standards of Safety Shoes
Look for shoes that comply with the relevant safety standards in your industry. The most common standards are EN ISO 20345 for general use and EN ISO 20349 for specific hazards like heat, cold, or chemicals. Ensure that the shoes have the necessary safety features, such as steel toes, slip-resistant soles, and puncture-resistant midsoles.
Comfort and Fit to Stay Relaxed During All Day at Workplaces
Safety shoes should not only protect your feet but also provide comfort during long work hours. Look for shoes with ergonomic designs, cushioned insoles, and breathable materials. Additionally, choose the right size to avoid discomfort and potential foot problems.
Durable Life to Keep Your Feet Protected
Your safety shoes should be built to last. Check for high-quality materials, reinforced stitching, and durable outsoles. Investing in a sturdy pair of shoes will save you money in the long run by avoiding frequent replacements.
Where to Find Affordable Safety Shoes
Online Retailers - E-commerce platforms offer a wide range of safety shoes at competitive prices. Look for reputable online retailers that specialize in workwear and safety equipment. Take advantage of user reviews and ratings to gauge the quality and reliability of the products.
Local Suppliers - Visit local stores or suppliers specializing in safety gear. They often have a variety of scarpe antinfortunistiche at different price points. Consider exploring discount stores, factory outlets, or sales events to find affordable options.
Second-Hand Options- If you're on a tight budget, consider checking out second-hand or pre-owned safety shoes. Many workers sell their lightly used shoes when they change jobs or retire. However, ensure that the shoes are still in good condition and meet the necessary safety standards.
Bulk Purchases - If you're buying safety shoes for a group of employees, consider contacting manufacturers or suppliers directly to inquire about bulk discounts. Buying in bulk can often lead to significant cost savings.
A Brief Guide to To Pick The Best Shoes According To Your Style
Tumblr media
Picking up the perfect shoes for your perfect outfit is the real deal. All of the shoe-holics can relate to it. You may have collected quite a few pairs, but more is needed if you buy a new outfit that requires the latest shoe. Now, if you are again in the dilemma of what to buy, then let's explore some of the styles you can try this time.
Match Your Plain Outfits With Colors
You may not have determined the shoe type you want for your outfit. Maybe you want heels or flats or sneakers this time. But you can try this idea with all kinds of shoes and in every kind of dress. You can have simple patterns in your dress and try vibrant color shoes.
The style looks good with most mini dresses and skirts, but don't be afraid to try this on your formals. Neutral colors like blacks and whites always rock. While vibrant colors like yellow and red have their aura. If you have outfits with patterns, you can pick out one color within the pattern and then match it with the same color in your shoe.
Designers often refer to this technique as the color-pulling method. When practicing color pulling, make sure you stick to one solid color. But when your outfit is made up of more than one solid color, you can either pick one of the colors or choose a neutral color.
Some Items matching the color tend to get a bad reputation for being too “matchy-matchy.” However, comparing the color can often show off a regal look.
Go with The Trends
If you are not a risk taker in fashion, then going on with the trends does nothing wrong. At the same time, some classic styles are meat for the specific time of year, like a knee-high boot or a classic loafer. The fall/winter season often brings many interesting trends into the mix.
More and more long-forgotten trends have a full-on renaissance nowadays. Like people who are crazy about Italian fashion, they have flooded all the Italian shoe shops online with searches. You can reimagine various styles and heights to give an official return to your favorite trends that have gone back in time.
The first half of 2022 has been owned by the elevated platforms and much new vogue. You can try carrying over towering platforms that are still very en vogue. Adding a few extra inches to everything from our dancing shoes to our everyday boots can create a delight for the heel-averse, which will include the wages too.
Take Risk With Patterns
Going on with the patterns may be a Deering choice for formal occasions as the shoe patterns often steal the show. They can charm out your whole outfit if you fail to style them.
So, if you plan to pay little attention to your outfit, be cautious. If you have a very detailed pair of shoes with a pattern, a print, or some serious bling, match your outfit to the shoe.
If the shoe is the statement piece you want to draw attention to, pull a color from the pattern or print it in the shoe and bring it into your outfit. Mixing up the patterns is a safe choice as you can bring attention to your entire outfit rather than just shoes.
Pair The Shoes With Them Theme
It is appropriate to match your shoes to the overall concept of your clothing and match them to a specific color in your outfit. Which we already have previously discussed. However, this time it is about matching the theme.
Don't be afraid to choose the shoes if you have trouble finding matching colors. Choose a shoe in a nude tone if you are having trouble matching a color. Your skin tone should match the nude shoe (as close as you can get it). This will make your legs appear longer and give the impression that you're taller.
Some Rules To Remember When Picking Up The Right Shoes For You
1. Consider matching the levels of formality: pumps with a dress or skirt, sneakers for casual or workout outfits, etc.
2. Matching the color of shoes to pants, skirts, or tights is a good choice. If they do not check, keep the boots darker.
3. Shoes and bags look good in matching or be the same color (black with black, brown with brown, navy with navy).
4. Certain materials and colors look limited, like leather or velvet, for outfits that look good in winter, while white and other lighter colors only go for Spring and Summer.
5. Metallics and jeweled embellishments for evening wear only.
You can think of a few more per your style and the trend you like. There is more than one way to try and style a trend. Pick the choice that expresses you and your subtlety more than confusing them. If you want to try new trends, we want to invite you to Madison style, one of the best shoe stores in Beverly hills. Here you can discover everything you need to be your fashion armor.
Popular Italian Gestures Brought To You Hetalia Axis Powers shirt
Tumblr media
If you go straight from Popular Italian Gestures Brought To You Hetalia Axis Powers shirt just wear your work clothes so you don’t seem fussy. Otherwise, it depends on what you normally wear to work, and the venue. If you wear a suit and tie to work, but the party is at a casual bar or restaurant (a place where on a normal night people would wear jeans) then dress down and wear jeans and a sweater with clean sneakers or leather dress shoes. if you have a casual work place where you wear jeans or a work uniform and the party is at a nicer venue specifically for parties (like a banquet hall) or a nicer bar/restaurant then dress up and wear slacks, a sweater and dress shoes. If you are really really unsure, ask your colleagues what they are wearing. If everyone is unsure wear clean dark black jeans (these could look like dress pants in the dark) a sweater and dress shoes. This outfit would fit in anywhere. In NYC just wear all black and you’ll look chic and appropriate.
