the way you're watching a video of two women talking about interior design, and the way they judge some spaces seems kind of judgemental to you, but it's all in good fun, right?
Only for them to show a picture of the home of one of the women- and she cannot even hang up her pictures on the wall and made midcentury look like High End IKEA via the vice of minimalism and cowardice in regard to colour and décor- which would explain why she couldn't hang up her picture, if she's so afraid to make a fucking statement.
#not to be a hater but COME ON#i hate unhung pictures /so much/#it's my absolute worst pet peeve it looks so unfinished and lacks commitment#like if you like in a flat where you cant put holes in the wall for some reason just stick it on#there's powerful adhesives and white paint and lil tubes of plaster in case the picture takes some paint with it after being unhung#but honestly#and the nerve to then complain about /boho chic/ of all things#like is it my fave?#NO#but i can appreciate that it wants to give a cozy vibe and it's a fun aesthetic!#god i should've known this was the wrong video for me when that cursed woman pointed out the /basic white tv stand/#as the one thing she enjoyed in one such boho chic house#like give me a break#when will well-off white women that clearly come from some sort of wealth and assume everyone should just Buy Real Persian Rugs stop#esp like- where i live i can easily get an og persian rug for even under 100 bucks if you're lucky#but im living in europe and these women are in the us#where (judging by the comments) you are way less likely to be so lucky!#so yeah the privilege is on show#alongside the bad taste#god im so peeved by this#okay i will rest now#and stop ranting abt random youtubers#thank you and good bye

my new kitty loves to sleep exactly behind my head on my pillow at night. she’s a persian (just like my baby romeo) so she has these dark stains of brown from her tear ducts and they make her look permanently stressed out as do her insanely light light blue eyes. we’re buying her contacts don’t worry. i love her

i want you to imagine a grocery store where everything is cheaper than you're used to and fresher and nicer and the store is never crowded. :^) now imagine it's 6 miles down a busy 5-lane with a traffic light every 1/8th of a mile. :^( but wait! wait! imagine now that 7 minutes away from it is the persian grocery store you've been going to every time you got the chance since you were 15, the one with several aisles dedicated entirely to tubs of spices so when you open the door the smell brings tears of joy to your eyes. :))) but get this, get this! if you go there first, you can avoid that 5-lane entirely. :') peace and love on planet earth, i think.

#first year PhD stuff has been…first year PhD stuff#which is to say exciting#but also really rough#especially this past week#then all of a sudden yesterday and today I got mysterious packages in the mail#one had a piece of decor from a speciality store that only someone who knows incredibly specific things about my sense of design would buy#like a specific 15th century Persian rug weave pattern that I like#and then the one today was full of food I can’t get where I’m living right now#special chili oil and air dried noodles and imported ingredients#I couldn’t figure out where the hell they were from#because the return adresses were only for companies#and all of the friends/family I asked said they weren’t from them#then I remembered that months ago I mentioned missing that food to my best friend from university#and she’s also the one I showed all my decor plans for this apartment before I moved in#in August#we FaceTime for a few hours every Saturday#and talk by text pretty constantly#but we also live halfway across the world from each other in almost completely opposite time zones#so we still miss actually being together a lot#yeah…I figured out they were from her because she remembered all of these little things I said months ago#and wanted to make me feel better#I’m rambling#but it’s just…I get the mania Keith had about Charlie in moments like this#I love her so much simply for who she is#and the fact that she’s this thoughtful and kind and amazing and can make me this happy even 3k miles away#gives me that same urge to rant about how perfect she is#I adore her to the point of distraction#she’s the Keith to my Charlie and I really couldn’t ask for anything more in the world#not the stones
