Things Ain’t What They Used To Be by @btwxsixesandsevens
Bucky Barnes/Sarah Wilson, Bucky Barnes & Sam Wilson, Hunter B-15 & Moebius Moebius | TFATWS | Loki | Rated: SFW
Summary: Sarah Wilson needed a break. There had been so much, so fast. The charter boat, the house maintenance — the windows needed replacing, but did they need replacing right now? — the restaurant humming along, the boys getting bigger and more independent, Bucky. Whew. Bucky Barnes. She was irritable. She knew it. Angry alternating with weepy. She needed to spend just one day, just.one.day. not feeding or caring for another person or creature. And now Perry was talking Bucky into getting a dog. God damn it all to hell.
So when Bucky suggested that he and Sam take AJ and Cass down to Galveston for a long weekend, she’d almost cried. Then she’d packed their bags and all but pushed them out the front door. The whole time she swore she loved them and would miss them.
Not really.

Excerpts from Sarah Bucky Headcanons, Part 4 —
“For Sarah, Just Sarah” by @btwxsixesandsevens
(moodboard by @tllgrrl)
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Sarah knows she’s pretty. She’s got rich dark skin, thick hair, eyes like jewels. If she’s wearing yellow or white, any guy who likes dark-skinned women will stop and have something to say. Brothers who don’t like dark…well, that’s their loss. She’s got some ways to turn a man’s head, but it isn’t like that’s that difficult a thing to do.
All this together means she’s not actually that surprised by Bucky’s attention at the beginning. She sees what they have in common and knows she has a way of cocking her hip that makes men lose their vowels for a second. Plus she can cook. Yeah, men want to come around.
It isn’t the first look that surprises her. Or even the second one. It is the third look.
It is the dancing, respectful but all the hotter for it. The fact that he always asks her if she needs something when he goes into the kitchen. It is the way he drops his eyes like he’s bowing to her. It is the way he listens to her, even when she’s not saying anything important. It is the way he compliments her, gracious and sincere: “My God, Kitten, you look stunning.”
She’s not vain but, Lord Above, if she could hear that every day for the rest of her life she’d be okay.

Close The Door by @btwxsixesandsevens
Sum summary:
“Kitten, let’s hire someone. A proper office staff. We have the money for it.”
“You’re so sexy when you talk finances,” Sarah purred.
“Okay, so I came in with other things on my mind,” he replied.
“I’m not leaving this office early.”
“Yeah, that’s why I locked the door.”

Stormy Weather by @btwxsixesandsevens
From The Sarah Bucky Songbooks, Vol. 2
In honor of the rain we’ve been getting off and on out here in Drought Country.
Sarah is introduced to the formidable Capt. Ayo of the Dora Milaje…and Bucky reluctantly lets Sarah into a part of his life he never wanted her to see.
#ICYMI
Y’all. When I say this is some Good Stuff? Believe it.
Bucky came back in, sprinkled with the first spray of rain but without any hint of discomfort. She’d have to wipe up the floor. He stood in the living room in his t-shirt and jeans, glaring at the television. He had a strange black bracelet on his real arm, which was glowing a gentle blue. He was speaking Xhosa, though there seemed to be no one to speak to.
“Wakanda calling, line 1,” she muttered to herself. He would definitely be on a plane in the morning.
“Sarah, can you give me a hand?”

Yes, it’s Summer. What better time to look back on the end of last year when the weather was more reasonable and Bucky took Sarah to his work’s New Years Eve office party…at Avengers Tower…and she meets The Avengers Women’s Wing.
Grown Women Talking over cocktails ensues.
A delightful (and insightful) fic to start a Saturday / Long Weekend.
