Dentro de si existia certa alegria em ver o meio irmão com vida, mas parte de si tinha consciência que a cada retorno o convívio dos hóspedes do chalé vinte e dois se tornava um pouco mais difícil. Quanto tomou por si, já estava caminhando até o irmão e estendeu a mão em um cumprimento impessoal, esbanjando certo receio. "De todos os rostos que retornaram, o seu é o que menos esperei ver." A própria rispidez causou-lhe incômodo, e logo buscou corrigir sua postura. "Fico feliz com seu retorno e espero que algo de positivo tenha ocorrido nesta missão. Não quero mais problemas dentro do chalé. Não neste cenário caótico."

For what was perhaps the very first time in their long and rather rocky relationship, Josh actually blushed. His cheeks turned a rather delicate shade of pink, and he immediately hurried over to the calendar on the wall behind his desk, removing it hastily from the hook on which it hung and shoving it in a drawer.

He wasn't entirely sure why she was here, of all places, standing in the middle of his office in the facility. Yet here she stood, and it seemed she had spotted the calendar on which he took note of the days they had been apart.

The unavoidable yet sometimes terrible fact was that they were both busy people. After all, a Queen and a General did not, perhaps, make the most reliable pair, no matter how hard they tried to find time for each other. And then there was the fact that they quite literally lived in different worlds. Plus... well, Josh knew that he wasn't exactly the only man in Shay's heart.

So he counted the days. It was corny, yes. Perhaps it was even strange, obsessive, generally too much. But it was simply how he loved. Yet it didn't stop him from blushing as he tucked the calendar safely in a drawer, nor from avoiding her gaze as he answered.

"Of course I counted. I always count the days when we're apart, even it if only gets to a few." He paused, taking a deep breath, before admitting: "Even when you were with Breslin, I still counted. I can't tell you the relief when it returned to zero."

I agree with that. I love doing them all. I couldn't choose one over the other. Yeah, that makes things more nerve wracking. When you know you don't get a second take.

they're both such different mediums but equally challenging at the same time. anything that's being filmed and where you get the benefit of a second take is a little less nerve-wracking tbh. in front of an audience, you don't have such an out.

you've never considered moving away from london? are you from there originally or is it a city you've settled in as an adult? i'm from the countryside originally and i didn't move into the city until after drama school, so my attachment to it isn't as deep.

It wasn't an easy question for him to answer. But, he reminded himself, it probably wasn't an easy question for her to ask.

There was a moment in which he simply looked at her, his hazel eyes on hers, his face impassive, his body still - perhaps a little too still. There was something strange about his posture, something unnatural, something different to his usual confident yet restrained demeanour. His reply was measured, as it always was; he took a few seconds to consider his response, as he always did.

"No." Despite his attempts to remain steady, his voice shook. When he moved, it was strangely stilted, not his usual fluid motions. His hand trembled as he stepped towards her. He lifted his hand as though to brush her hair from her face, and then he stopped halfway there, letting his hand fall.

"No," he repeated, and then - "not entirely," he clarified. "I never stopped, but the type of love changed... the intensity. When I thought you had made your final choice, when I knew you would never come back to me, the love changed. It-" he paused, evidently struggling to find the correct words. "I knew I would always love you. You are the mother of my children. I knew my heart would always hold a special place for you -- and yet, I truly believed that you would never again want to be my life partner. I didn't stop loving you. I don't think I could ever do that. But I knew that I would somehow have to find a way to live and to love without you by my side all the time."

He frowned, suddenly and uncharacteristically unsure, not quite meeting her eyes. "Does that make sense?"

I reached the tag limit 💀💀💀 so here’s two tags I had to get rid of! Final part coming out tomorrow and I was gonna add Mike, but didn’t to keep the number even! Just know he’s a bird!

Ashley - I really wanted to play with her “baby eagle” codename and maker her a bird (duck #150 ), but I personally don’t think it truly fits, but I do think a lip eater bunny fits! Especially cause of her hair! Bunny is #95!

Merchant - Donkey #1944! Hear me out, donkeys are great at carrying lots of stuff…Merchant carries lots of stuff…therefore, donkey, case closed, thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Luis - Goat #1952! He was lowkey hard to find an LPS for, but I saw this lil goat with the heart nose and I couldn’t resist.

Hunnigan - Lamb #2101! Except her bow would be a pen tee hee! And with glasses ofc!

Krauser - I’m not super happy with the LPS I chose for Krauser, but I do know he screams loyal dog that’s been wronged one too many times and has started biting. For now, I assigned him German Shepard #1800.

Salazar - He’s an ant. Tee hee.

Saddler - Saddler was so damn hard to decide what LPS he would be. I do NOT think my choice is a good choice tbh, but I was so done with this guy, I just settled 💀 he’s an anteater cause he manipulated Salazar and is basically the reason everything happened.

Méndez - HE’S A SPIDER!!!!! Probably wouldn’t have the bow, but maybe he’s feeling fashionable you never know!!!

Sheva - Sheva my beloved 💖 I initially thought of a lioness, but turns out all the lioness models are just jaguar models 💀

Josh - The moment my eyes landed on Corgi #1767…I just knew…That’s just Josh!!! Okay, maybe he wouldn’t be a corgi, so I did some more digging and a bear model may also fit him perhaps???

Reynard - Perhaps a cat??? Or a fish to play on his last name???

Spencer - Hear me out. A lion. But an old Lion who’s way past his prime and is dethroned by another Lion (referencing my LPs stars post)

Irving - Irving lowkey looks like the greyhound model…plz tell me you see it too

Excella - Chinchilla or poodle?? Both are well groomed and love keeping clean (as clean as they can be) and stubborn.

Helena - She’d either be Spaniel #156 or Dachshund #172!

Piers - This new dog!!! He’s either a husky or wolf (I’ve also seen wolf dog), but he gives Piers energy fr fr. (Sorry it’s blurry, with this guy being new, the pics aren’t high quality yet)

Finn - He’s a capybara!! Finn I love you forever fr fr💖💖💖 I have this one and I adore it so much (also sorry the pic isn’t clean, this guy is new and I don’t think anyone has uploaded a transparent background pic yet!)

Jake - Fox #807! It has his red hair!! Also the fox and hound dynamic between him and Piers was too good to miss.

Simmons - Cat #055! Nothing much to say here other than ew…Simmons… (I love the kitty tho, droopy eyed kitties are the best)

Carla - I know she’s supposed to be a perfect copy of Ada, but I think it’d be super interesting if their colors were inverted or maybe white fur would start to peek out over time!

Towns can become cities, but I don't know what people say the differences are. I guess the population is something to do with it though. Where I live with my family has around 163,000 people loving there, where London has 9 million. So...quite the difference.

So is there a stark difference between a town and a city? I mean obviously there is, but I've only ever been to London so I don't really know what England is like outside of that.

"It's his lucky paw," Noa said, swallowing hard around the emotions in that sentence. She wasn't going to cry in front of this man. But, it'd been a distinguishing mark on him since she'd seen him at the shelter. The first thing the workers had pointed out to her when she'd gotten down on the ground with him. A trademark of some non-retriever genes and the reason he'd been turned away by pure bred collectors. "Yes, he's microchipped." She pulled out her phone from the back pocket of her jeans, nodding at Josh's suggestions. "You sound - well you sound like you've gone through this before."

"Yeah, yes," Josh nodded his head, "I remember the white paw." When he had first come across Noa and Tarot, he had specifically remembered seeing the dog's white paw, knowing that it made him stand out from all of the other goldens that he had ever come across. "No, hey, I get it," he held up his hands, knowing that he wouldn't judge her for that, at all. Sometimes things happened, she loved her dog, he would never think that she was an irresponsible dog owner, someone that would let anything happen to her pooch. "Is he microchipped? It would probably be a good idea to let the veterinarians and the shelters in town know, just in case someone finds him and brings him in, they can keep an eye out for him."
