She crashed into him with the force of a freight train, and if this had been any other night - any other night at all - Jacob knew without a shred of doubt in his mind that being tackled that low to his center of gravity would've knocked him over, one hundred percent. But it hadn't been any other night, and he was still tense with unspent adrenaline, so he stood, and he caught her, and when he understood what was happening, hugged her tighter than he'd ever hugged her in his life (which, for the record, turned out to be pretty freaking tight).

Despite the wolf's blood, and the cuts, and the grime, and the pond scum, and the...normal human blood, and the sweat, and the...Christ, everything else, Kaitlyn held onto him for dear life, half-yelling and half-muttering into his chest, "I shouldn't've let you go look for Emma alone, I shouldn't've done that shitty truth or dare crap, Ishouldn't'vetoldyouaboutthefuckingrotorarm!"

"Uh, gee genius, ya think - " he began, only to throw the thought out halfway through, choosing (desperately) instead to try and lighten the mood by joking, "Look at it this way: Next time we sign up to be counselors at some shitty summer camp in the middle of nowhere, we'll have nowhere to go but up."

There was a beat, then two, then Kaitlyn went lax against him, not quite laughing but letting out a hard breath as she played along, saying, "The only way, and I mean the only way I am ever stepping foot in a dump like this again is if you promise I get to be the one who has a summer fling with some super hot chick before getting my heart crushed into itty bitty pieces so I run off and make a bunch of decisions that prove to be really, really terrible for my overall well-being."

"I mean...sounds fair to me," he said, and then despite everything they'd seen and done and been forced to go through that night, they laughed, and laughed, and laughed until they had to sit down to keep from falling over with exhaustion; even then, they didn't let go of each other, not for a second.

One of the things I will forever hold a vendetta over the Archie comics is the fact that they decided to name each one of the Guardian's spouses but only ever illustrated less than a handful of them. My lore hungry self was left starving with this so I thought why not design them myself? One design turned into another and then I ended up giving them their own lore for my own Brotherhood headcanons.

Ended up designing Eri-ka based off of that one panel that she was hinted at but never shown besides that silhouette, then decided to re-draw that panel if the hallway light was just a bit brighter and you can actually see the pair watching over their son. Also just could not resist drawing the baby Moonwatcher such a cutie!

Kas that was his name now, not Eddie, not Munson the Freak, he was Kas, the right hand of Vecna. Tonight he looked in on those who he knew when he was still mortal. One in particular Harley. Kas sat outside her window, watching as the girl slept. He had known her, before what happened to him in the upside down. He had died there in Dustin's arms. But when Dustin left, when he woke up, he was different. He remembered crawling through the portal right before it closed. But something was different now, he could see into their minds, twist them like Vecna could.

He didn't know the scope of his powers yet, so going to someone like Nancy or Steve hell even Dustin or Robin, could be dangerous. So he found himself at Harley's slipping in her window like he had so many times before. She was sleeping, he could see that. Reaching down he put his hand under her head and the other under her back, he looked down at her, giving her memories of Eddie playing with Corroded Coffin, when she'd come see him play. While he poured those memories into her, he bit down on her neck, feeding from her.

hi your addendum to my post was so amazing i couldn't just not say anything i SEE YOU SO HARD in believing its like a greek tragedy. nobody was supposed to die on that ship, this was all avoidable had the company trained and took care of their employees better, had the crew been more stable, i love what you have to say about this

@missingininaction omgomgomg thank u so much!!! :D my friends and i have been talking incessantly abt how the whole thing is a greek tragedy for like the last month, like! i do not think jimmy is ontologically evil and to act like That's The Point is i think doing a big disservice to mouthwashing as a game because WHY would this game thats filled with nuance and complexity suddenly turn around and believe in ontological evil??

this is a sidenote for Me but in the medbay there's a book called "up or down? the illusion of choice" and its out on the counter. and i know this was just supposed to be a reference to how fish is made but it also implies that anya reads about philosophy and determinism (the idea that there's no free will) and compatibilism (the idea that there's limited free will) and i am just fascinated with the idea that anya reads about philosophy and about the very common argument that if people are shaped by their pasts and those pasts have an effect on them that they can't control, how "free" is free will? how "at fault" are people, really, for their actions?

i find the idea interesting, of anya reading that book to cope, because it makes her feel better. i feel like she believes that peoples' worst moments dont make them monsters because she reads about psychology and philosophy and is keenly aware how out of control a lot of actions really are. and that maybe if her assaulter isn't just a monster, it means she isn't just a victim, too. and that what happened to her wasn't anything she did to "cause it," it happened because the things that drive people forward are fickle and unpredictable things. it makes her feel better, to acknowledge the dead pixel, as it were, of the assault itself, but to still find comfort in the bigger picture of the nighttime screen as a whole. while curly refuses to see the dead pixel, anya sees it, is mindful of it, and yet still looks at the whole picture. willful ignorance versus mindful knowledge of both the wide philosophy of Was It Really His Fault and But It's Still Something That Happened And Ergo Someone's Responsibility To Acknowledge
