He might be playing things safe with her but that was hardly her style. “I didn’t know you would be here tonight either, but here we both are, it must be … what’s it called….fate? You look stupid hot I love it.” Such was their hight difference her legs dangled a couple of millimetres above the floor even in her high heeled shoes, swinging back and forth. There was a slight slur to her words which was a telltale sign she was already down a couple of drinks more than just being tipsy. @jascndeann​

He’d only met Mary once or twice, but she’d seemed like a very nice woman, and perfectly matched to John Watson. “Oh, sweetheart…” he murmured, wishing he could be there for her, to give her the hug she was desperately seeking. “Oh, I’m so sorry…” he bit his lip. “What… what happened? Are you all right? Did you want me to come home? Do you need me to come home?”

What Greg had told her when he’d called was that someone from Mary’s past had showed up and killed her. And somehow Sherlock was involved. 

“But she was shot....at London Aquarium. Her...her past...”

Molly sniffled then.
