Things have been relatively calm in the city. There haven't been fights between factions, and most of the hullabaloo against the Essex House has died as the months passed. Things are looking better for the New Yorkers; life is easy and normal again.

And what happens when life starts to look normal like before? Simple, the citizens decide to throw a party! Halloween is right around the corner, and who doesn't love a good costume party? Various individuals and organizations have been planning, shopping, and inviting those to their Halloween parties.

MONSTER MASH

One thing about the X-Men and Omegas? Oh, they're going to host an absolutely amazing party. But instead of the old heads planning it, Laurel Cunningham and Yazmín Navarro Montes have decided to handle the festivities themselves.

With the abandoned warehouse as the location, the two (and the help of friends) spruced up the place. Tables are set up, a few strobe lights in the corners, a DJ in the corner with huge speakers, and food and drinks from local restaurants: a party that you would see in a horror movie! Oh… maybe I shouldn't have said that—sorry. But seriously, the gang turned this lifeless and spooky building into the raddest spot in the city. 

Come down and dance to the Monster Mash, bob for some apples, and have a professional photographer take you and your friends' pictures in the corner. I promise that you won't regret it one bit!

You know, Halloween isn't just for kids. It's also for the adults who need to make their inner child happy. To appeal to those adults and drunkards, Club Nyx is hosting a Halloween party! Fake cobwebs are strung around, a smoke machine blows out fake smoke the entire time, and the employees are all dressed up as zombies, ready to cater to their patrons. 

Anyone can attend; however, you must wear a costume to get inside. And no, the zombie bouncer won't let you in if your costume is lame and a simple shirt that says, "this is my costume." Sorry, buddy, that's not gonna work here. Have fun and be creative! Make your inner child happy while also pleasing your adult self.

Yes, we know it sounds crazy, but at Rollerama, we believe in love at first sight. That's why they're holding a speed dating event on October 31st—appropriately titled Boo'ed Up. Open to those who are 21 and older, the event will be held in the roller skating rink's private party space.

If you're looking for love, this is the chance for you to see what's out there—and there's no better place to meet someone who will change your life forever than a roller skating rink.

You never know who might be waiting for you at Rollerama, and if nothing else, it'll be a fun way to spend Halloween for all you sexy singles out there!

DAICHI KATO @ BERGEN STREET !

Outfit information: You can usually find Kuraokami wearing jeans, a white shirt, leather jacket and kitsune mask. But today’s different, it’s special almost. He switches things up for his last mission as a Brotherhood member. Full on black and extremely padded, he needs to protect himself because he is the Kato family’s young master. Still has the kitsune mask, he will throw it later in the night. 

THEIR SKILLSET:

Ice Sculpture: The Ice King can do more than just ice bullets, he can also turn a person into an ice sculpture. Can either be done by direct touch or with a simple gesture directed towards his target. It truly depends on how he’s feeling. If he’s feeling nice, he can freeze parts of a person’s body, however they’ll be unable to break said ice. Rip to them. 

Unbreakable Blade: He doesn’t use this move often, only when it’s necessary, which is necessary for a situation like this. With the sword hilt that he always keeps with him, Daichi creates a blade of ice for him to use. The blade does not break unless Daichi wants it to. One of his best moves yet since he specializes in sword fighting. 

EVENT SUMMARY: He was a man who believed that he’ll never lose against anyone. Well, until Theodora stepped up before him and sucked away his life force, leaving him close to death door’s that the man thought that he was a goner. Only for him to watch his first love die in front of him, the Omega giving the rest of her life force to her friends and teammates. Due to his uncontrollable emotions, Daichi’s ability reacted negatively and froze everything. It was only because of Yaz that he was able to calm down and reign in his ability. However, Daichi ended up passing out a minute later and going into a coma for an entire week. As for injuries, one of his own ice spikes had grazed his right arm, several bruises on his back and chest, and a broken heart. 

JUNE BULLSHIT: 

Daichi goes into a coma from June 1st to June 8th, when he does wake up, he finds himself completely broken and alone. 

Anytime he tries to sleep, he dreams of Theodora. Either of her happy and alive, others of her dead. He doesn’t get much sleep. 

Panics when he realizes that Nia isn’t with them, tries to look for her but his friends from Japan forces him to stay in bed until he’s completely better. 

When she does finally come home, he immediately hugs her and cries in her arms. He tells her of Theodora’s death and what happened on June 1st. It’s the second time he cried in front of Nia. 

Attends Elliott’s funeral ( pours one out to his firefly ) and also Theodora’s funeral ( stands far away from everyone and leaves before anyone could see him, except purghaps for Jackie ). 

Gets in a fight with Levi. It’s not a pretty sight. 

While he spends most of June in his feelings, he perks up by the end of the month and starts partying and having sex like before. Despite his smile and laughter, he’s empty on the inside. 

Daichi’s last day: July 31st, 1998.

MONIQUE WASHINGTON @ 46TH STREET !

Outfit information: It’s nothing special because they’re not a hero or a villain, just a regular person who got caught up in this mess. Just a oversized shirt and pants and the Simpson hat that Jess gave them. 

THEIR SKILLSET: 

Iron Jaws: When they bite, they’re not letting go. Wolf!Monique is attacking and they want to see blood, lots of it. 

Sharp Ass Claws: Always go for the face, the chest if you’re feeling nice. Again, there has to be a pool of blood, especially if it’s a person’s face. Means they can’t see anymore because of the blood that keeps getting in their eyes. A win for this little wolf. 

EVENT SUMMARY: Monique was on their way to their big momma’s until all of this happened. They did everything they could to avoid fighting with someone, though it was a major fail on multiple occasions. The first time, Fins was there to calm and pat down the giant wolf before a human Monique smiled and told him to run off without them, that they needed to save their friends. That was their goal, to save all of their friends and make sure they all get away alive. But unfortunately for them, lady luck was not on their side as Monique watched Elliott die in front of him. In a rage, they murdered the police officer who killed their friend and attacked anyone who was nearby. This time it was Lachlan who was able to stop the wolf and hold a crying Monique. Monique walked out of this with reoccurring thoughts ( and nightmares ) of Elliott dying, a bruise on their stomach, and a part of their left ear nicked away because of a stray bullet.

JUNE BULLETSHIT: 

Gathers all the escapees together to tell them that Elliott is dead, a very sad day for this fucked up gang. 

Spends the days leading up to Elliott’s funeral within their room, would only leave to get food and that’s it. 

The funeral comes around, Monique is not doing well. 

After having a discussion with the escapees about something, Monique leaves NYC for two weeks to visit their parents in Florida. 

Is unable to call or email anyone. They don’t have the mental strength to do so.

Outfit information: Don’t worry, he’s keeping to the X-Men dress code! He has the proper belt and a yellow jacket that he’s wearing but it does feel odd ( even though he’s out of the actual spandex ). Might ditch the jacket later in the fight, we’ll see honestly. 

THEIR SKILLSET: 

Zone: It’s his usual thing ( more like the only thing he can do ) and that’s a zone that surrounds him. Anyone who enters this zone will be unable to use their ability, thus converting them into a regular person. 

Handgun: A little gift from Antonio, the older man telling him to only use it when it’s necessary. So he has it with him just in case it’s needed. 

EVENT SUMMARY: Nicholas was assigned with the mission of saving Finley from whoever held her and unfortunately that person ended up being Ezra Shaw. While he succeeded in saving Finley, Nicholas walked out of the battle with cuts all on his arms and chest, plus a busted lip. Oh, and he had to save his daughter who was apparently running around the streets looking for him. 

JUNE BULLSHIT: 

Takes a single day off from Xavier, he needs to rest and make sure that Ava is okay. 

Came back the next day, talks to anyone who needs to talk in his office. Brings Ava with him every single day ( catch her playing with whoever she can play with ). 

During her one of her playdates, Nicholas learns that Ava is a mutant! She had amplified someone’s ability again. A professor wanted to test out if it was a fluke or not... it was not a fluke. 

Ava Walker has the amplification ability! Everyone say hi to the baby mutant who is now going through summer training to control it. 

Attends Theodora’s funeral. 

Meets REDACTED! Not at all happy about it, keeps Ava away from them.

LETS HAVE AN OMEGA FESTIVAL!

HAPPY ONE YEAR TO OUR OMEGAS AND WELCOME OUR NEW HERO, IRA!

New York City is the city that never sleeps and that never dies, no matter what you throw its way. After what happened in June, the energy was low the first two weeks. The citizens needed time to grieve and heal-- and of course, wait for parts of the city to be fixed. It's a slow and necessary process. There at their sides are the Omegas, the city's heroes help with clean up, fixing buildings, getting cats out of trees, making sure everyone is fine: they're doing their jobs but also just being decent human beings. It warms the hearts of the citizens, all grateful for their team of heroes who have done nothing but protect all of them.

The city's mayor doesn't care much for the Omegas but he does care about making his citizens happy. And what would make them happy? A celebration for their favorite group of heroes of course! It's an Omega Festival held in Central Park, the festival is to celebrate the one year anniversary of the Omegas being formed and to welcome a new member of the team, an individual personally recommended to him by his new acquaintance Linda McCall. There's drinks from local bars, food stands of some fan favorite restaurants, gaming booths such as basketball, darts, duck shoot, and even musical performances from local musicians. It's a day of fun for everyone, so come and enjoy yourself!

TAKEN AT THE GALA: JANUARY ST. JAMES.

Fashionably late and floating down as if she was Glinda herself, January arrives to the delight or even ire of some of the participants here. A pleated white designer dress with its purse to match, though she really has no need of it, she comes and joins the Xavier gala, as she loves an opportunity to mix both business and pleasure. She comes by, hobnobbing with important individuals, gathering contracts and information as the day grows long. Her face is framed with an elegant mask, allowing it to frame her face well, and still show off her make-up. A flute of champagne in her hand that never seems to go dry, she walks off and surveys the Institute and its inhabitants, enjoying what the night might bring.

The most important part of the night for her, however, will be the appearance of her close contacts and associates, one with an ash white face, seeing as they need to plan the next steps of what they need to do against Essex and its ilk.

NOAH SANOUK will be attending the street fair dressed as the one and only norville “shaggy” rogers from his favorite cartoon scooby-doo where are you! true to shaggy’s character, you’ll find him sampling every food he comes across.

HALLOWEEN STREET FAIR, 1997

With leather gloves borrowed from Levi, Riley will walk down the streets on Halloween dressed like a plague doctor, a costume that he assembled mostly by going through his own wardrobe and Levi’s, leaving only a few details like the mask and the hat for him to spend his own money on. He considers it worthy though, since it offers him the gift of remaining anonymous underneath the mask which gives him the protection that is needed just in case he feels like causing trouble. (it also does its job at hiding all the black lipstick kiss marks that his lover decided to mark his skin with, even if he does not worry about such thing).

This costume is a reminder that while there are many like him around, humans and mutants with the gift of being able to heal people, not all of them are heroes and shouldn’t always be treated as a good thing. If you’re in need to see a doctor, most of the times, it means that something bad has happened or that you’re worried about your own health and well if you’re seeing Riley it must mean that you’re really desperate.

TAKEN AT THE GALA: V.

Off his secluded living space and after an hour of prep, V comes to the gala as part of the hype surrounding his next album, in a drab little number that he fought with his management about. If it were up to him, he would be wearing a ragged little piece, but alas. Even with the small win of his mask, he’d rather be in a mosh pit somewhere underground. Contractually obligated to come, he arrives to the mansion, dodging both the paparazzi and fans to mingle with the powerful that are sure to come by the gala. Envious of the other mutants currently able to showcase their abilities, his smile begins to strain after conversation, opting to make a nest at the bar, much to the horror of his PR team in the morning.

In his hands lies a little secret, a small, dancing aurora that winks out of existence as it moves through his hand. Every time he’s questioned by someone about what they saw, he simply shrugs and tells them that maybe the mutants are trying to flirt with him. It’s not the first time anyone’s tried anything.

CIARÁN O’CONNELL has always been a fan of halloween, the opportunity to be someone else for the night? it’s just one that he can’t pass up. this year he has opted to dress as richard thornhill from the 1959 classic north by northwest. there’s a chance you might even catch him enjoying himself.
