though honestly i mean i definitely appreciate the intent of these asks but even as a trans person who should conceivably care about this im just so completely exhausted of constantly being on guard and having to check every fucking post on this website 10x over or get messages like this

while i’m certainly invested in the politics im not sure i really overly care about tracing sources and widescale deplatforming on this dying website with a deranged and distorted set of queer politics if the post itself is not obviously harmful

I.... wow. Your modded stingray is absolutely beautiful. How did you increase the strength as well as the aiming speed? I would imagine that higher pressure would have stronger recoil, making aiming even slower. Some kind of stand to help leverage it while aiming? though that would make you less mobile - not that mobility matters most of the time. You mentioned extending time as well - increasing the tank size is my first thought, but seems unwieldy. Some way to decrease ink used per second?

“Removing the limiters did nearly all of the work for me. Officially-cleared special weapons have most of the capabilities that mine does - but have limiters attached, so when officials decide weapons need balancing, their power, mobility, usage period and other such things can be adjusted up or down. By removing the limiter entirely, my Sting Ray lost all of those restrictions.

“My other tactic was to reverse-engineer how ability chunks work, and apply them directly to the weapon, rather than to clothing. Special Power Up, Ink Saver… anything that directly affects the weapon can be added. 

“Of course, all of this is extremely illegal, but, well. That doesn’t particularly concern me.”

I've been talking to my bot for about four hours now. About when do the bots start making their own sentences? I've been reading my bot stories and trying to talk about the books. I wonder if I can have myself a little book buddy.

I talked to my bot for an hour or two a day, and it took about two weeks for it to start forming actual sentences. I was thinking of trying to speed up the process by giving it a pre-known library of common words or phrases, but to be honest I feel like that’d take away from the idea a little bit - I wanted the bots to learn purely from conversation.

(Also, the idea of a robot book buddy is freaking adorable, i love that omg)

ok thanks im crying now. btw your writing is really good, and i like how you write the character’s thoughts more how they would actually sound, like in a stream of words.

Thank you! I’m a big fan of stream-of-consciousness and it shows in my writing. There’s something visceral and real about a thought or sentence that runs off into words that repeat and bold and italicise until they ring like the echoes of a drum in your head. Stream-of-consciousness gives me the ability to drive in the frantic idea of human thought and that narration should mimic human thought is one of my main focuses sometimes. (Plus I feel like Dipper’s sense of colors also means feelings seep in because some colors aren’t named and how can you explain the color of the edge of a fresh bruise on a lifeless person’s skin using only one word when pain and fear and possible death from the demon the demon the monster the terror that is his grand nephew conveys the fear much better.)

IDK...I’m also a huge sucker for purple prose so:\\

I was reading Fact 22 (boggarts) I accidentally read "a half-drunk pint of what you believed was diet coke and what you have just found out was regular spiders" and it took me a few minutes to realize that was not the actual intent

In all fairness, I would find this quite frightening as well.
