CalHacks!

The bus ride was hellish. Our driver just was completely unprofessional and persistent and reminded me badly of my dad. Thankfully we finally made it off there after a looong time. I am worried because my 225 program is still not done, but I'm really close to finishing it. I don't really like machine code necessarily, but the intricacies are so cute and annoying at the same time. I think the hardware aspect of 225 is interesting, but ridiculously detailed - midterms on this will literally be hell. Fortunately, for 103 my professor has assigned very easy assignments (in my opinion, at least! We have a GUI due the Monday after Grace Hopper, but I love GUI programming for how frustrating it is. I'm surprised at how much I like front-end.) Tech writing is lightweight this week too.

I also got 2 portable chargers on top of the one I already bought this summer, which is awesome! And like, 10 free T-shirts, one of which is a gorgeous Dropbox shirt, the likes of which I've been lusting for (like, 7 months)

I only slept 1.5 hours last night, but I feel really fresh (mentally, not hygiene-wise). I downed 2 cans of soda last night and that kept me going until about 4:55 am or so (impressive because I had a 7 am class yesterday!)

It's not as much as a 'sausage-fest' as I expected it might be, but still not too much female representation. 

I'm working on the front-end side of the Android app in my team. It's gonna be good. Also, our spot smells disgusting, like really old coffee+soda mix. I thought that the smell was coming from me for about 4 hours before I realized that I smell like fresh daisies and Dove deodorant (asides from my disgusting feet.) I wish I had time to put on makeup and look nice though - I can see why a lot of girls might not do hackathons (a lot of people could use toothpaste.) I don't like feeling like I look like shit.
