Calypso when she first met Leo
calypso: hey, leo i have a question.
leo: ask away.
calypso: do you ever just look in a mirror and think to yourself 'hmmm, i'm not tall enough to be acting like this'?
leo: ...
calypso: just a thought, but i think you should do that sometime.

AU of my current OTP: Calyleo
(This is written out of the blue for a contest thingie, so... yeah. It's an AU about Heroes of Olympus, specifically Calypso/Leo)
Panic overwhelmed him. What if the sphere had broken in the crash? He looked over and fear overwhelmed him. Its pieces were strewn about the beach, completely dismantled. He'd broken the greatest thing he'd ever found, just for a two second stunt. Sure, it'd saved his life, but the Archimedes Sphere was worth way more than that...
Leo looked around him. It was a pretty small island, he thought to himself. He looked down at what appeared to be the remains of an old, dilapidated picnic bench. He must have landed on it and shattered it. It looked like it was years old, however, and hadn't been used in over a year. He felt like there was something missing here, but he couldn't put his finger on it.
He began to explore the island. He found a cave where it was obvious someone had lived in it for a very long time; it had a beautiful garden, but the flowers were looking a little wilted-as if they hadn't been cared for. As if someone was missing.
He waited for what seemed like ages, no one coming to help him, no gods answering his pleas for help. And as night fell, he collapsed near the garden, weary from hours of searching for someone, anyone, to fill the gaping hole he could feel in his chest, as if someone wasn't there that should have been. And as he was drifting off, he saw the most beautiful flower bloom in the moonlight, and he was reminded of a story from camp... Something to do with Percy, and a flower... And a name... What was the name...
"Calypso..." he breathed, and that breath soared and floundered over the winds until it expired. And although he waited for the rest of the night, and the day after, and the next week, no one came. And just as he began to give up hope, he heard a voice, as if from another universe, calling to him...
"I'll be waiting, Leo"
