Turkish authorities confirm 1,541 deaths, with another 810 reported in Syria, after powerful earthquakes bring thousands of buildings crashing down in both countries.

Initial magnitude 7.8 tremor in southeastern Turkey early on Monday was followed by magnitude 7.6 earthquake hours later amid several aftershocks.

The US Geological Survey said the initial tremor was centred about 33km (20 miles) from Gaziantep, a major city and provincial capital.

Dozens of countries have pledge to aid in search and rescue operations.

I got into watching B Dylan Hollis' (very gay) vintage baking shorts on youtube and I feel like it would be an excellent bonding thing between Harry's kids (or just Harry) and Voldemort.

Voldemort watching with amusement and maybe a bit of nostalgia as they dramatically throw themselves into cooking and try out old recipes that are either surprisingly good ("I told you so.") or are remarkably horrible ("If I told you which ones are good and which ones are not it would ruin the surprise. But no, we thought it sucked back in the day too," he says while he eats in anyway to the horror of the kids, because nostalgia is one hell of a drug).

i'm on board with this, anon, but only if the vintage cooking the three potter children [tom's favourite is obviously albus severus - despite the name] get into is that of britain's horrifying 1970s culinary superstar... fanny cradock.
