Valerie's office is foreboding at night. Shadows creep down the walls, cast by the vines of plants. Tons of them — nestled in pots — dangle from the ceiling by chains. At the slightest shift of air, they sway and their chains rattle, filling the room with a haunting melody. The melody of a a gaol-bound lich; of armored skeletons marching.

It sends goosebumps crawling over Avery's skin and resonates with the pain of her dislocated shoulder. She sinks further into the sofa — unable to do more than exist. I'm safe here. I'm safe.

Her usual internal contrarian fails to prod her: maybe it's too exhausted to carry on torturing her. Still, her thoughts aren't silent. They wax and wane, just like the moonlight outside shimmering through shifting clouds. Hazy, ethereal, unstable. Teasing the outskirts of sleep.

With a few more seconds, she's gone. Falling through her mind. She jolts up, out from the depths of the cushion's warmth and onto the edge of the sofa. No! I can't sleep. Not yet. Not until the police get here.

ok, but the thing is, is that this is totally how i see them, in the sense that Sam does some dumb shit, and kinda flirts without expectations, but it WORKS. It works on Rinzler, and he's just stoically standing there.

but also, in this annalogy of Sam being a pigeon and Rinzler being a hawk, the pigeon is a god.

So a god is doing dumb things (like trying to take off on a lightjet without knowing how to make it work completely) with witty one liners and it's working.

I do not like MediEvil. I adore it. I based at least 1/3 of my whole being on MediEvil. It always has been my favourite video game and always will be. Daniel is my best friend I have ideas for a fucking fan game that I will probably never have the time to make but still. MediEvil is a huge part of my life I made my fucking very last important exam of high school about MediEvil-

I have been following Lindsay Ishihiro's comic Motherlover for quite a while now. It's this story about Alex, a lesbian artist moving back in her hometown, next to Imogen, a stay-at-home mother who finds her husband has been cheating and the friendship (soon to be more? 👀) growing between these two women who have nothing in common on paper. The art is gorgeous, full of details and colors, and the story is super cute and moving.

In the last chapter, we learn that Imogen's oldest child is actually a trans girl... and it's so beautiful and so sweet, I had to share it with you. I put the link to the chapter (it can be understood on its own). Really, take a look at it and if you feel like it, read the whole thing : I promise it's worth it.
