Theory about Roy and Danica

I was thinking about Danica again. Someone mentioned the detail that Roy and Danica looked quite similar, and indeed it's true. Both have straight black hair, tan skin, gray eyes… that made me think, what if it turns out that Danica and Roy are siblings or cousins?

Besides, when other members of Devenementiel talk about Danica in eps 1 and 2 they don't seem that angry and hurt about it, just a little disappointed, while Roy seems to take it as something more personal.

It could be that the reason why Roy is so angry and hurt with Danica going to Goldreamz, not only because the rivality between Devenementiel and Goldreamz and the personal issues and hate between Devon and Jason, but also because Roy and her were not only coworkers, but family.

Or maybe their similarities are just a coincidence and Beemoov didn't even think about they look too much to each other, and I'm just thinking too much again for nothing XD But I can't help but have those thoughts. They are not as similar to the level of Nathaniel and Amber, but more so than other siblings like Lysander and Leigh, so at least right now I don't dare to rule out this theory either.

Entertaining Highlights from Kakashi Retsuden:

Kakashi being immediately labelled as a heartthrob in Redaku despite the fact people can only see half of his face: “The village aunties are talking about him. They say he’s tall and handsome.”

Even the kid he's tutoring remarks on how good-looking he is: He also knew that they said he was a fine man. It wasn’t the whole cool thing of him wearing a mask, but maybe because his features were nicely balanced, he did look somehow like a painting standing there.

This description of Pakkun, Kakashi's tiny, grumpy pug, as told by a child: “But he shoots beams of light out of his mouth. His eyes are sharp, and he’s so big he can leap over a bear in a single bound.”

When Kakashi reads a book about himself and privately complains it doesn't depict him as awkward or pathetic enough!!

Kakashi dressed in a maid's uniform worrying about being discovered as ninja, but actually it's just more people talking about how hot they find him: Kakashi reflexively braced himself, hyper aware of the position of the knife beneath his skirt. The maids continued, eyes glittering. “Where did they find such a sullen tutor, hm!” “Right? I’m really into that kind of downer-ish old guy.”

Kakashi beating up fifty shinobi by himself, using only a pot and its lid, and his own body, as well as only half his vision (at night, no less) to put them all to sleep (and not thinking for a moment that only using one of his two equally-functioning eyes would be a disadvantage in a fight)!!

Kakashi sending an All-Ages Version of Make-Out Paradise to his temporary student like the horrible little man he is (said with utmost love) and simultaneously using his endorsement sticker on that book to reveal that he was the Sixth Hokage all along!

In the context of the City of LA's 3.2 Billion dollar police budget this isn't just cruel it's fucking obscene. If you live in the city I recommend yelling at your piece of shit council person (or if you live in Districts 1, 4, or 13: your council person) about this deeply immoral decision about how they're spending our god damned dollars.

I remember seeing someone saying Sr pelo makes the villains/antagonists based on the 7 deadly sins and idk if that's true but if it is then I've theorised who I think the next villains are gonna be

If Bob is gluttony, Moloch is wrath and Dexter is lust (as in bloodlust) then that leaves envy, sloth, greed and pride

So with that in mind I think:

Envy will be Roy, like he's gonna get jealous of Skid and Pump, think that they have perfect lives and prefect families while he's not, and I feel like he'll end up being more of an antagonist rather than an actual villain, or maybe an unintentional villain, the episode could end with him even understanding that he's wrong, and that Skid and Pump aren't as bad as he thought and that bullying them isn't a great way to help him cope. And therefore change like Ross and Robert did and start finding better ways to heal and cope with his trauma

Sloth will be the Candy Dealer, like instead of directly doing the job himself he gives it to others like how he made Skid and Pump deliver the "sugar" to Kevin, and how he has the thieves trying to steal stuff from Lila for the cult. If he gets an episode I think the thieves would be the main antagonists/villains while he'll be the villain in the background, like the one who gave them the orders in the fridge place if you get

Greed could be the thieves like the reason they joined and help the cult is because out of their own greed/for money

And finally I think Pride is gonna be Skiddad. He's a cult leader who's also probably a murderer and a manipulator. I can see why a cult leader who'd think too highly/be too prideful of himself.

Watch me get all this wrong. It probably is. It definitely is. But it's fun to think about.

The biggest source of information that we have about the details of the Prophidian Heresy comes, in-canon, from the book that Jet reads in ACOC when she began researching the Bulb.  In that book, she learns not only about the Prophidian Heresy but also the Ramsian Doctrine.  We also later find out that that’s not the only connection the two philosophies have - Belizabeth Brassica, a champion of the Ramsian Doctrine, was mentored and first ordained by a priest who adhered to (and was executed for) the Prophidian Heresy.

Which led me to think, what is the point of connection?  How do these ideologies relate to each other, apart from being fringe beliefs of the Church?  With what we’ve learned this season about the FDA, who uphold the Prophidian Heresy, the followers of the two beliefs seem to be at opposite ends of the spectrum.  The FDA wants to stop the end of the world by filling the world with rot and decay, while Belizabeth wants to bring about the end of the world by ensuring that it is only made out of “healthy” food - hence the attempt to annihilate Candia in ACOC.  On the surface, they appear to be foes, and Raphaniel even promotes the Ramsian Doctrine in an attempt to undermine the FDA.

Then I realized: sugar doesn’t rot.  It can spoil if moisture gets in -Candians are more vulnerable than anyone else in Calorum to watersteel daggers- but sugar acts as a preservative.  And so far, there aren’t any known Candians in the FDA.

It’s not about what they have in common ideologically but rather it’s what stands against them both.  Although they may seem to have opposite goals -the FDA and the Prophidian Heresy want to “save” the world by preventing its destruction while the Ramsian Doctrine headed by Belizabeth wants the end of the world to come- where they are both similar is that there is room in neither philosophy for Candians.  Sugar does not rot, that is a whole part of the world that theoretically remains palatable to the Hungry One.  Sugar is “junk food” (according to the Ramsian Doctrine), the Hungry One will not eat the world so long as it is unhealthy.  The followers of both heresies may be working to different ends but as per the details of their beliefs, neither group can succeed in their desired goals as long as Candians continue to exist.

I don’t know what, if anything, this means for The Ravening War.  We know that the FDA’s plan does not succeed, although we don’t know how it happens.  But I think it’s significant to the worldbuilding of Calorum that the biggest heresies of the Church (that we know of), the heresies which so many prominent Church leaders seem to hold to, are fundamentally hostile to the existence of Candia.  And I think that even if the vast majority of ordinary Bulbians probably consider these beliefs fringe and heretical, it doesn’t mean that the leaders at the top who do adhere to them aren’t using their influence to promote subtler anti-Candian ideologies.

You don’t get to a genocidal crusade from nowhere.  You don’t just declare one day that it’s going to happen, everyone get your armour on and grab a blade and torch, and people just listen to you.  But if you spend years cultivating mystery and fear, spreading rumours but never confirmed facts of strange Candian alchemy, that’s how you start to other Candians so that by the time you get to the point where you’re ready to make a move against them, people perceive them as mysterious heathen others “not like us.”

had a dream about a mid-apocalyptic dystopian town, forced under a strict regime by a need to survive. People who bent or broke the rules, even accidentally, were imprisoned, straight-up beaten on the spot by guards, or publicly tortured depending on the offense.

Now this is a Very Whumpy Setting, but the most memorable part of the dream was me trying to stop a guard from beating a man who was obviously having bones broken, and when I yelled for her to stop, she glared at me and went,

"are you trying to stand in the way of the law?"

and I didn't have a good reply so I was just like, "no, I just think you're hot"

And she got all flustered and the guy she was attacking got away lol
