As a Canadian I personally am very excited to watch the Argentina vs Canada match with humility, awe, and understanding that it cannot possibly get worse for my home team. I'm just honoured that they get to play with Messi. I hope everyone has a great time. It's Canada's first COPA and they get the rudest awakening I'm so proud. Idc if Canada loses 10-0 we're gonna party. If Canada scores or gives them competition which I believe can happen I will be partying even harder

i am so so proud of this team- like i love them. i love them so much for bringing so many ppl together, even ppl who don't watch this sport. i love my toronto fc players repping their country now, i love the international players making a name for themselves overseas, i love the players who play for other mls teams in and outside of canada, i love those who play in any league in any country in the world - who're so happy to come home and rep their own country. i love every single player - those injured, those back from injuries, those who're supporting the injured teammates. i love this team for playing their heart out the full 90 every single game so far, no matter what. i love this team for putting canada on their shoulders and showing the world that the hate and underminers won't stop us. i love how far they came and i cannot wait to see how much further they'll go.

To be honest, idk what the big deal is. It hasn't been a secret that teams spy on other teams to prepare themselves. It might be unethical, but I bet all football federations do it.

But not all teams get caught, not all teams use illegal methods to collect information. Yes I’m sure other teams have spied on other teams. But Canada has at least five years worth of footage. Which means during the tournament they won gold in they most definitely were cheating. A precedent also needs to be set that cheating to win will not warrant you medals and success.

watching Copa America again and I am constantly APPALLED at how absolutely fucking god awful the refereeing is. The ref for this Canada and Venezuela game needs to never ref a game again. The way he is not calling what should be clear and obvious free kicks for Canada and not giving obvious yellow cards for Venezuela is a joke 😂
