Simon's beautiful in battle: He never stops. You never see him plan his next move. He doesn't plan, he just moves.”

There are only two things Simon will take his time to describe in full: the meal laid in front of him and what Baz is wearing, aka the meal laid in front of him

Baz said “is somebody gonna match my freak” and then Simon went and pulled out a whole new level of freak that no one was ready for but you know what Baz is a good man so he went and stepped up his own freak and I think that’s beautiful

In Snow for Christmas Baz says “I’m always in the same place,” implying he usually sleeps with his head on top of Simon’s chest. I’m sure they switch, but it makes sense than in quiet moments of rest (or maybe just when they’re going to sleep) they default to Simon holding and Baz being held…
Baz wants to be loved gently. He wants to be touched not like he’s unbreakable, but like a precious and delicate thing. He’s a natural caretaker, and for a while, we don’t see anyone taking care of him in the way his inclined to care for others… he wants to be held. Simon channels his desire to protect and be useful, to have a mission, into “I want to make sure Baz is happy and well.” It’s a mutual thing – both want to care for and feel cared by the other. But because of their insecurities and self-image issues, perhaps Baz especially needs to feel cared for (maybe he’s not just an unlovable monster) and Simon especially needs to feel like he can make the person he loves happy (maybe he’s not just an useless, terrible boyfriend who doesn’t deserve someone like Baz). For Simon, realizing it makes him happy to be cared for by Baz it’s a surprising discovery – he wants that as much as Baz wants to take care of him. But the mission Simon wants for himself (to take care of Baz) shows how much Simon wants to be the one holding him…

obsessed with the fact that baz is so good at seeming cool on the outside that no one notices he's never actually made a friend in his life.
at watford he hung out with his cousin (would have known him before school) and his cousin's roommate (dev made friends with niall and brought him along to hang out with baz). in carry on and after watford his friends are penny (package deal with simon) and shepard (decided he was friends with the group of them regardless of what they wanted).
this man doesn't know how to make friends. he knows how to have the same taste in friends as his relatives and boyfriend. and how to stand around looking cool and aloof so that people think he's mysterious instead of an awkward loser. i adore him.

Simon Snow with white feathers—absurd. He’d look like a cartoon angel. Or a Victoria’s Secret model …

Want to highlight again: Simon progressively touching Baz more and more in the span of like… 24 hours after starting the truce. He can't contain himself – he was fucking starving for it! Even before he realizes, he was merely waiting for anything that would give him permission to touch Baz without having to pick a fight with him
(A progression of this is that in awtwb, after Baz and Simon have clothed sex – their first “successful attempt” at having any sex – not even 48 full hours pass iirc before Simon is jumping Baz again. They have sex again the morning after Baz comes back, after a night where Simon sleeps alone in their bed. He immediately asks Baz to get on the bed when he arrives… his desire for closeness – as close as possible – increases exponentially after feeling distance, and it’s once he gets a taste of what he has been looking for. It’s different once he knows what is is like to touch Baz without conflict, when he knows how it feels to touch Baz in a way that pleases Baz)
