OFFICIALS RAIDED TWO of Sean Combs‘ homes on Monday, a law enforcement source confirmed to Rolling Stone, as part of a federal sex trafficking investigation. Led by Homeland Security, the raid was carried out just four months after the rap mogul’s ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie, accused Combs of sex trafficking. Helicopters and agents were seen swarming Combs’ Los Angeles mansion on Monday afternoon. Footage of the scene appeared to show some men — later identified as Combs’ sons Justin and King — detained and waiting outside the Holmby Hills house. Officials were also present at Combs’ Miami residence. Combs was in Florida at the time of the raid, according to NBC News, and officials reportedly seized his phones before the Bad Boy Records executive was scheduled to leave for a trip to the Caribbean.

A source tells Rolling Stone four Jane Does and one John Doe already sat for interviews with Southern District of New York investigators for a probe related to alleged sex trafficking, domestic violence and racketeering. More interviews are scheduled, the source said. “Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and our local law enforcement partners. We will provide further information as it becomes available,” a Homeland Security Investigations spokesperson said in a statement. Rolling Stone has contacted Combs for comment.

Douglas Wigdor, who represents Cassie Ventura and a Jane Doe accuser, says in a statement provided to Rolling Stone, “We will always support law enforcement when it seeks to prosecute those that have violated the law. Hopefully, this is the beginning of a process that will hold Mr. Combs responsible for his depraved conduct.” Attorney Tyrone Blackburn, who represents two accusers, music producer Rodney Jones and Liza Gardner, tells Rolling Stone, “It’s about damn time. Sometimes justice delayed is not justice denied, so long as justice ultimately arrives.” Jones sued Combs last month for sexual assault, harassment, and not compensating him for work on the Grammy-nominated The Love Album. Gardner filed suit in November, alleging Combs and singer-songwriter Aaron Hall took turns raping her following an Uptown Records event in 1990.

R&B singer Cassie filed a bombshell complaint against Combs on Nov. 16 alleging he subjected her to vicious beatings, sex trafficking, and rape. In her 35-page filing that started with a bright red “trigger warning,” Cassie claimed Combs punched, kicked, and “stomped” on her and forced her to have drug-fueled intercourse with male sex workers during arrangements he dubbed “freak offs.” In a statement, Combs’ lawyer said the lawsuit was a financial shakedown “riddled with baseless and outrageous lies.” (Diddy reached a private settlement with Cassie one day later.) One week later, as New York’s Adult Survivors Act was set to expire, two more women stepped forward on Thanksgiving Day with similarly disturbing claims against Combs. The second accuser alleged Combs drugged and sexually assaulted her when she was a Syracuse University student in 1991. The woman claimed Combs filmed the incident and showed the video to others in an act described as “revenge porn.” Through a rep, Combs denied the allegation. “This last-minute lawsuit is an example of how a well-intentioned law can be turned on its head. (This) 32-year-old story is made up and not credible. Mr. Combs never assaulted her, and she implicates companies that did not exist. This is purely a money grab and nothing more,” the spokesperson said.  

The third lawsuit was from Gardner, who said in the suit she was 16 years old at the time of the alleged assault. She further claimed that a day later, Combs turned “irate and began assaulting and choking” her until she almost “passed out” because he was worried she might divulge what happened. “These are fabricated claims falsely alleging misconduct from over 30 years ago and filed at the last minute,” a Combs spokesperson said of Gardner’s lawsuit. “This is nothing but a money grab.” In early December, a fourth accuser alleged Combs’ former Bad Boy president Harve Pierre and a third man gang raped her at Combs’ New York recording studio in 2003 when she was 17 years old. Combs has denied any wrongdoing in each case. Still, he stepped down from the chairmanship of his Revolt TV media company last year as more than a dozen companies fled his e-commerce platform. In January, liquor giant Diageo cut him loose in a private settlement under which Combs will no longer be a joint owner of the tequila brand DeLeón or have any ties to Cîroc vodka.

I wish Cassie had real friends and family that fought for her physical and emotional safety.

She was with an abusive partner for 10 years and all people could do was criticize her talents and say she's just famous because she's pretty. People just viewed her as Diddy's eye candy.

No one stepped up to help her. She was only 19. Where was her family?

Yes she was chronologically an adult at 19 but she said it herself that she initially saw him as a father figure, not a boyfriend. He controlled more than her career and she is finally free physically but it has affected her emotionally and mentally.

Though Combs initially positioned himself as a father figure in Ventura’s life (she had a boyfriend at the time, and he was publicly dating Kim Porter), he allegedly began pursuing a relationship with her, and in September 2007, she agreed to go out with him, fearing retaliation should she deny him, according to the complaint.

Ventura, now 37, alleges that Combs soon began giving her “copious amounts of drugs,” which began a painful struggle with drug and alcohol abuse, and also paid for her housing and her car.

“All aspects of Ms. Ventura’s life were controlled by either Mr. Combs or his management companies,” the complaint says.

Combs allegedly exhibited “uncontrollable rage” often and “frequently beat Ms. Ventura savagely,” violence she claims was witnessed by many of the people he employed.

Yes there is innocent until proven guilty but now that Cassie is away from him happy with her husband and children, why would she say this? Why would she sue?

I hope Cassie eventually finds peace.

In New York:

Under the new law, the statute of limitations for reporting second-degree rape increases to 20 years and third-degree rape increases to 10 years. Previously, both were five years.

If there's no physical evidence, no witnesses it's difficult to prove rape. It becomes a he said/she said thing.

The burden of proof is less in a civil case.

Just paying her off doesn't end the talk, the accusations. What if more women start to speak up?

"Whose turn is it to pick the movie again?" Hailey asked, holding up the remote. "And no, we're not giving it to Jay again, it was your turn last week and I know you're just going to make us watch bloody Doctor Who again."

Ignoring Hailey's jab, Jay picked up the clipboard sitting on the table next to the couch. "Looks like Arya's up next."

A small chorus of groans greeted Jay's statement. "Come on, no, Arya always picks the dumbest shit."

"It's still their turn." Jay shrugged. "Unless you want to pass this week. Arya?"

"Nope." Grinning with sharper-than-human teeth, Arya caught the remote as Hailey tossed it to them. Arya flicked through the various movies that Cassandra had on her and Jay's TV, before finally settling on one.

"Really?" Cassandra narrowed her eyes at the TV.

"What? It's my favorite movie of all time." Arya's pointed ears flicked as they leaned back in their seat, grinning coyly.

"Look, I'm all for enjoying dumb shit." Hailey's British accent was out in full force. "But Ace Ventura: Pet Detective cannot possibly be your favorite movie!"

"How do you know? You always leave when I'm watching TV!" Arya argued.

"Because it's always 'Mothra VS Dracula' or some some fucking garbage like that!" Hailey groaned. "Shit that was dogshit fifty years ago!"

"Enough about Arya's movie taste." Cassandra interrupted. "If they want to watch Ace Ventura, then that's what we're watching, I guess."

"This is bloody stupid." Hailey rolled her eyes, pulling out her phone as the movie started in order to distract herself.

"Your loss." Arya shrugged, conjuring a handful of Jay's popcorn into their hands. Jay glared at them, but chose not to say anything.

The movie seemed to go on forever. While Arya was completely enraptured by the film, the others were more easily distractible. Jay and Cassandra, for instance, found each other's bodies to be much more entertaining than the film itself, and were firmly engaged in a game of Footsie on the couch next to Hailey.

Hailey, on the other hand, had her earbuds in, to distract herself from Jay and Cassandra's giggling and knowing looks, and had slid her feet under the coffee table. Whatever happened next with those two wasn't her problem, and honestly, she didn't want to know.

By the time the movie was over, Jay and Cassandra had devolved into a passionate makeout session, and Hailey was passed out on the couch next to them, head awkwardly leaning on Jay's shoulder, a wine glass precariously leaned against her fingers.

"Hey. Movie's over." Jay poked Hailey's shoulder.

"Were you two seriously making out while I was leaning on your shoulder?" Hailey asked in disbelief.

"You're too heavy to move, Hailey." Jay replied. "You're seriously asking some poor, disabled guy to move you, Miss Six-Foot-Five and Built Like A Marine?"

"To be fair, I was a Marine, before I got blown up." Hailey replied, sipping another drink of their wine.

"Movie's over. Now, I set up a Kahoot, to make sure everyone was paying attention!" Arya grinned, holding up their laptop. The rest of the team responded by booing and throwing popcorn at them. Arya, immature as ever, stuck their tongue out, shapeshifted into a centipede, and scuttled off, eliciting a small screech from Cassandra.

"Real mature, Arya." Cassandra muttered, shuddering. "A centipede? Real mature."
