Hello I am very excited for ch 2 of the trucker AU!!!! Question… what songs are on Carlos’s driving playlist? And do you think 1. Marjan shares playlists with him and then quizzes him on his favorite songs next time she sees him and 2. He starts adding some of TK’s favorite music when they eventually get together 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
Hey Lemon!
I actually think Carlos is more of a good ol fashioned radio kind of guy. He does have a couple driving playlists but he usually prefers the radio. He generally switches between country music stations and classic rock.
He also plays CDs sometimes too. His parents started getting him CDs for his birthdays once he started driving so he plays one of those any time he starts missing them. They're not always sure what kind of music he's into so they get him the stuff they like, which is good enough for him cuz it makes him feel closer to them even when he's miles away.
Marjan, Nancy, Tommy and Carlos are all definitely always sending music recs to each other and quizzing each other about it!
Once Carlos and TK get together, Carlos puts together a playlist specifically with TK in mind. It's a mix of his favorite songs that make him think of TK and TK's favorite songs. He listens to it any time he starts missing TK (which is pretty much all the time.) He and TK have different preferences for music genres so it makes for an interesting mix of songs.
And when he's not in the mood for music but needs some noise he turns on the CB radio and listens to the chatter
#i might have to make a whole playlist for this#911 lone star#911 la fanfic#truck stop au#long haul#911 ls head canons#thanks for the ask!

TV Insider chatted with the producers and cast of Matlock at PaleyFest 2025 earlier this week. And while the main focus was on the last few episodes of Season 1, we also quizzed the show’s creative team about what viewers can expect when the hit CBS series returns for its sophomore season.
We’ve been told that the identity of the person at Jacobson Moore who kept quiet about information that might have prevented the drugs that killed Matty’s (Kathy Bates) daughter from being accessible to her will be revealed. So where does that leave Matty and her co-workers in Season 2?
“I actually just spent the day in the writers’ room last week as they prepare for Season 2,” Kat Coiro, director and executive producer, teased to TV Insider. “I can say that there’s still a lot that you guys are going to have to figure out. In a way, the show has a slow drip. It’s not just huge plot each week. It’s psychologically complex. It’ll go on for years.”
Melanie Lynskey (Two and a Half Men), Jason Ritter‘s (Julian) wife, has already spoken out about wanting to appear on Matlock. And with what’s to come in Season 2, there might be room! “There are going to be a lot of new characters,” Coiro reveals. “There are a lot of amazing actors who have expressed interest in coming onto the second season, which is always really exciting. One that’s public is Jason’s wife, Melanie Lynskey.” Speaking of Ritter, who made headlines over the mustache he’s grown for Lanterns, Coiro quips, “Jason’s mustache is also a character in the second season.”
The new characters Coiro refers to will be helping tell the tales that are going to fuel Matlock‘s sophomore season storylines.
What can executive producer Eric Christian Olsen say about Season 2? “I can say that Jennie’s a genius,” the actor-turned-producer raves. “She has perfectly navigated giving enough at the end of this season to satisfy the audience and left enough there to propel us to Season 2 — which is unbelievable.”
Coiro, who started out her show business career as an actress in New York, shared with us that she’ll be making an appearance in Matlock‘s Season 1 finale. Might we see Olsen, best known for his role as Marty Deeks on NCIS: Los Angeles, pop up on screen as a guest star or in some kind of cameo?
“I try to be really good about not acting in stuff that we’re producing,” he responds, “[but] there are moments, especially when watching Kathy, that I deeply yearn to be in a scene with her.”
Matlock isn’t exactly a reboot and it’s not quite a revival either given that Matty’s real name is Madeline Kingston — not Matlock. But the name and original opening theme were a great hook to get viewers to sample the show. Does Olsen see value in bringing back other series in similar fashions?
“Yes, and we’re currently working on them,” he shares. “There are so many series that hold a special place in my heart like Matlock did.”
Olsen says that intellectual properties shouldn’t be revisited without there being a plan. “What’s the reason to bring it back?” he rhetorically asks. “There are certain shows that in this moment in time have an opportunity.”
What shows did Olsen grow up with? “NYPD Blue,” he says. “I [also] watched Matlock at my grandparents’.”

The red caboose for the ask game?
I didn't know which number you wanted so I just did them all 🤷
1) CB doesn't necessarily see anything about himself to be proud of. He's content with his acting ability and being able to keep his lifestyle of crashing trains under the wraps so well. But it's not something he would brag about to others, unless, of course, they attempted to undermine him.
2) At first, he really wants to please Greaseball when the diesel is paying him to rig races in his favor (not always with money. Sometimes with sexual favors.) He thinks that, perhaps, if he can get Greaseball to reigning champion, GB would maybe give him more of the time of day. Maybe see him as more than just a tool. It's a foolish endeavor, of course, since Greaseball has eyes for a certain dining car instead. CB can't bring himself to be angry or resentful, because Dinah is his best friend and she also genuinely likes him. He just feels like a forgotten third wheel. I think he finds new purpose in helping Electra rather than Greaseball, though. And even if Electra treats him as more of an equal, he still doesn't want to let them down.
3) I guess the funny thing about being the token errand boy is that many engines depend on him. It gives him a feeling of power that he knows he can't misuse, but he does have his own fun in knowing that he could ruin everything at the drop of a pin if he wanted to.
4) Come to terms with it. Very quickly. He would actually probably shut himself away from the world and wait for it to happen, or maybe try to accelerate the process. If Electra was in his life at this point, they would probably encourage CB to live life to the fullest in the meantime. It would take a lot of convincing though.
5) His Chessie System sticker/tattoo (I see them as tattoos, personally). His mother was an original Chessie yellow caboose and it reminds him of her.
6) CB has gotten so used to being on his own for so long, but he'd be lying to himself if he didn't wish his parents were still alive. Things could have turned out so differently.
7) Electra or Dinah. They're the ones he's closest to.
8) If CB had the money, he would dish it out on a fancy red convertible. But he's just fine rolling himself where he needs to get, or if not, public transportation is just fine.
9) Someone playing with his hair, massaging/scratching his scalp. It's like a damn reset button, it immediately puts him at bay. He only trusts a select few with this information though.
10) He simply lives with it. End of story. He never wants to be seen as weak or vulnerable to anyone and has learned to bottle up all his problems so no one will know just how broken he really is.
11) His neckerchief is especially important to him. It was the last piece of his old baby blanket, and he still likes to keep it close. It's a comfort thing.
12) How doesn't he sleep? He moves around so much that he's fallen off the bed multiple times in his sleep. It doesn't wake him up, because he is a very heavy sleeper. But he needs to be a special kind of tired to stay still during sleep.
13) Someone who would vow to make sure nothing would ever get in the way of them having a normal childhood. He's not going to make them go through the same bullshit he did, no one deserves that.
14) CB was one of those students who didn't do any of the homework and goofed off in class (typical class clown, of course.) But he would ace the tests, quizzes. Teachers thought he was just cheating, and asked him questions out of the blue during class. All of which he got correct. He's not stupid, by any means, in fact he's a genius. He just doesn't feel the need to do homework over stuff he already knows.
15) Something crisp and clean once he can afford it. Perhaps he might also use body sprays traditionally marketed toward women, but he likes the fruity scents.
16) It's actually quite confusing, after trying to date Dinah, he assumed he was gay after not being as attracted to her sexually. Sexual stuff with other men turned out to be much more enjoyable. But in actuality, he's probably Pan, since he doesn't mind Electra being genderfluid.
17) I have this idea that he's actually really into Disney movies so I imagine him and Dinah would have fun doing some Disney duets. Love is an Open Door, A Whole New World, etc. But in the way that Sharpay and Ryan always played the romantic leads in High School Musical - just because they're comfy with each other, not because they're in love.
18) He's a very bendy lad. He has some mad contortionist/acrobatic skills that he casually shows off. Totally didn't think it was special or interesting until others pointed it out though. He's just like what? You can't put your leg behind your head?
19) CB is someone who despite being able to hold his own and take care of himself, desperately wants someone to be there for him. That's why he feels safest with Electra. Electra is someone who thankfully sees him for who he really is and fiercely loves him despite his flaws.
20) Washing dishes. He hates touching wet food, it's a sensory issue. That might be one of the only things that could get him to easily vomit.
21) The first Christmas he could remember when his parents were still alive was when he got his first kid's radio set. It really fueled his love for radio communication and he appreciated it greatly since he knew his family was always tight on money. He can clearly remember the happy look on his mom's face when he opened the present.
22) Foolishly. He will pour hundreds into his hobbies and interests but not on stuff he actually needs to survive like food. Or even proper bed sheets. He thinks it's completely justified, because he thinks life isn't worth it if you can't do something you enjoy.
23) Don't get me wrong, CB is very much a lightweight, but he likes his blackout nasty liquor. He will do shots of basically anything you give him. Though if he had a choice of drink, it would be a fruity concoction that's sure to get him wasted ASAP.
24) He's always longed to rise above his station. Racing is something he truly enjoys and wishes he could be an engine like Greaseball or Electra. Unfortunately, that's just something that's not possible. Crashing trains aside, he loves the feeling of the wind in his hair as he's speeding down the track. It's when he feels the most free.
25) Others would probably prefer that he didn't crash trains, but it's not like he cares. That's not something that's worth changing about himself in his mind. He wonders if people actually got to know the real him they would understand what he wants out of life better. But it's always difficult for him to trust someone enough to be that vulnerable with.

Just came back from my local CB store for my weekly run and this woman with her young son and daughter reprimanded her girl because she wanted to buy comics too. She said, "it's not for you". You backwards-ass fuckers, let little girls read comics, it's 2017 for fuck's sake.
i liked comics ever since i was a kid. my uncle would drive me to the nearest convenience store because my neighborhood didn’t have any comic book places and i’d spend solid minutes searching their lackluster comics section trying to find something that sparked my interest. i wasn’t specifically reading just DC or Marvel comics, i would grab stories about superheroes one day, fairies and witches the next, unending quizzes and riddles the other. i liked the shapes and the colors and the speech bubbles and the fact the letters were always capitalized for some unexplained but cool reason. it’s why i started reading actual books from a very young age, and how i picked up drawing so religiously. i still remember the exact picture that helped me learn how to draw shoes
when i was around 12, i had a friend my age (let’s call her katie), this girl who wasn’t going to the same school i did, but because she was living in my neighborhood, me, her and a bunch of other kids were constantly out every afternoon to play until sundown, so we were close. i had only three hobbies at that age: creating superhero battles with my dolls, readings my comic books and magazines, and playing outside and getting dirty because i was certain i could turn a local soil dumping ground into an actual water park (i got the neighborhood kids, including this guy five years older than me, to actually believe in my project and help). katie, i had noticed, was pretty much interested in the same things i was, but every time i’d bring my comics with me and offer her an issue, she’d shut me down fast. at first i thought she didn’t like reading/prefered to actually play (or help me become a genius, self-made multi-billionaire at the ripe age of 12), and that was okay so i didn’t pressure her, but i quickly found out she was not allowed to read comics
when one of my birthdays creeped around and everyone and their mother got invited (literally, they were all young kids, their mothers had to be there), katie’s mother got a tour of the house including my brother and i’s shared bedroom. i remember her making a backhanded comment about how my brother seemed to read a lot, and when my mother said, “oh no, that bookcase’s actually my daughter’s, she’s driving her uncle broke with all her comics”, that lady just… lost it in the most comically dramatic way. something about how it’s ridiculous for me, a girl, to read comics about angry men fighting each other, about how these activities are for boys and not ladies, and maybe if i had more dolls to play with, i wouldn’t be like this. now, my natural response at my current age is, “chill the fuck out you spoiled nutmeg”, but back then, i remember just getting… surprised, offended, ashamed, sad. scared my mom would listen to her and take away my comics or not allow me to read any new ones ever again. then i looked at katie and realized she had to live with that spoiled nutmeg 24/7. is that why she was downright terrified of my comics?
the whole thing didn’t have a happy ending. Spoiled Nutmeg & Co. left the party after a while, then the years passed, we grew apart, i moved houses at some point, we lost contact, my water park business was completely ruined because the same company that dumped all that soil just took it away like the self-entitled little fuckers they were. two years ago, through some weird and questionable means and circumstances, katie got in contact with me again. through it all and after i mentioned something about batman (imagine? me? sneaking batman into every conversation?), she asked me if i still read as much as i used to. i managed my best impression of, “no, i don’t have an entire blog dedicated to superheroes”, and told her that i’m still into comics. after she explained to me she’s been actively avoiding any kind of comic book material because of her childhood days being filled with every relative repeating that kind of stuff is only meant for boys, i convinced her to try some DC stuff out. and she did. i also gave her some fun facts about the comic world she appreciated. leaque― spoiled nutmeg: 1-0. fuck you, ma’am
this isn’t the first time i’ve seen this sort of gatekeeping caused by hilariously wrong societal views and “rules”, but it’s the one closest to me because i experienced it so actively. i experienced it from my family too when it came to other aspects of that long-winded “some games are meant for boys and not girls” rhetoric that resulted in me trying out things much later in life (ie video games), but they were never assholes about my books. the amount of girls with similar experiences to katie is a much larger number than some of you may realize. it’s insane to think about, but this gatekeeping culture, ranging from family to your local asshole who wants to protect his little boys’ club, exists. it simply exists. this bandwagon of ridiculousness has to stop at some point

I saw this post on Secret Library Book Blog who had seen it on Espresso Coco. I liked the idea and so I found myself giving it a go! The A-Z of me could go any way so just be warned! I like sharing bits about my life but this will probably end up being more of an A-Z of the blogger side of myself. It will be a decent mixture at best but for those who are looking for bookish goodness then there will be plenty I promise. This is going to be quite a long post as I am going for all 26 in one go so get comfy! For those who don’t know much about me (Stuart) or Always Trust In Books, I welcome you to my slice of the book blogging world. I hope you enjoy the post and please share something about yourself in the comments to help me get to know you better!
A Is For Always (Trust In Books)
My blog is an unexpected avenue in my life that I have come to adore. Three years ago I had no idea what blogs/bloggers were really about and the challenges/rewards that awaited me. I set my eye on reviewing upcoming releases and promoting indie writers and the rest is history. ATIB isn’t the biggest, most popular or most exciting blog out there but it is genuine, honest and passionate about books.
B Is For Books…
Predictable I know but it’s true. Books are everything to me and always will be. Growing up in ‘not the best of scenarios’ made books a most satisfying escape from reality. I have been innately obsessed with books from the get go. Picking up elaborate and impressive looking tomes from the second I could lift them. Yes my nan and Harry Potter built the foundations of my love for books but it evolved so fast from there. I couldn’t imagine a world without books…
C Is For Christopher (Brookmyre)
It is this gentleman that was one of two authors (spoiler: the other is Joanne M. Harris) that influenced the creation of this blog. I was so impressed at his styles of writing that I sought out a platform to discuss it with other readers. From there it was just a small hop to becoming a book blogger and having the opportunity to review CB’s most recent novels. Good times.
D Is For Diversity
I read so many different genres of book. It is hard to put a finger on what genres define my blog but I would settle on SFF and Non-Fiction. I read everything though. I can jump from thriller to romance to horror to fantasy to Non Fiction. I think I read this way to avoid it getting stale or preventing the dreaded ‘book slump’. I am like this in every area of my life though. I hate fitting into one category. I love gaming, gardening and going to the gym. I wonder if I will ever just settle into one groove :D.
E Is For Etymology
Image from LanguageByLaura
I have always loved words and their meanings. But it was not until I came across the workings of Mark Forsyth that I really got into Etymology (the study of the origin of words). Mark’s work is fascinating, especially his history of drunkenness) and now I am able to completely lose myself in the origins of works and how they came to be. What a dork!
F Is For Freddie
Yes I am including my children in this post! Freddie is my hero and he never fails to make my day. Funnily enough he loves books too but even he thinks I have too many! I hope he reads as much as I do even in a techno-saturated existence. I can only dream!
G Is For Gaming
If I am not working, familying (not a word be should be), reading, cleaning, tidying, shopping, planning, eating, sleeping or exercising, I am gaming. It was another escape for me in youth and I never actually grew out of it. I actually own a PS4 and a XBOX ONE because I am that much of a dork. I know most people roll their eyes at the idea of playing games but as the quality and range of the technology has matured, they have become an almost exquisite style of story telling. Just take Red Dead Redemption 2 for example. That narrative is just as superb as anything I have ever read in a book. Top marks.
H Is For Hunting (Books)
Looking for a complete set of books is incredibly satisfying. I have recently finished my John Grisham collection. I am now moving my sights to an Agatha Christie set. Wish me luck!
I Is For Inspiration
Book blogging can be hard to figure out at the very beginning for many reasons. It takes time to craft a website, think up content ideas, make bookish contacts, nurture a blogging voice that represents your passions and much more. Finding inspiration at the early stages helped me to shape my blog so I just wanted to say thanks to Bibliophile Book Club, The Tattooed Book Geek, Keeper Of Pages, Swirl and Thread, Bibliobeth, Where Is My Mind?, Lovedreadingthis and Novel Delights (to name just a few) for your epicness.
J Is For Joanne (M. Harris)
I did warn you! Where to start? JHM is one of my heroes. Her mythology writings are so addictive that I started ATIB as a way to talk about it freely and endlessly. I have not stopped since. If you have never picked up a book by J. M. Harris then you need to drop what you are doing and get started. I recommend The Gospel Of Loki, Runemarks and The Blue Salt Road to start off with.
K Is For Kings Of The Wyld
Anyone who knows this blog will recognise this as my another of my endless attempts to include Nicholas Eames’ Kings Of The Wyld in a post. Anyone who is new to this blog, read Kings Of The Wyld. It is beyond amazing and it is probably the book I would take in the old ‘Desert Island’ scenario. It is fantasy in its prime, handing over the torch from the old guard to the new. Quality stuff.
L Is For Linkin Park
These guys are my idols. They taught me to be loud, creative, different and to love music. The passing of Chester was one of bleakest times for me in recent years and I still listen to his lyrics obsessively, taking his meaning to heart. Mike Shinoda is another superb musician who influenced my creativity growing up. Mike loves words even more than I do and he puts them to good use.
M Is For Movies
We love those movies. Now I am not going to list my favourite actors or movies as this post is way too long already. Films for me are a tricky thing because I am still not quite sure what makes a perfect movie for me. I love movies like The Pianist and The King’s Speech but I also enjoyed movies like Beerfest and Hot Rod. I have watched movies that have been ruined in one tiny moment and movies that have bored me until the last second. It is a mystery but like most things in my life, I like different choices!
N Is For Nature
I grew up in the middle of nowhere. A village that was an hour and a half from my school by bus. I loved it. So green. So fresh and lots of places to explore or get lost in. When I moved into the city, it was a bit drab to say the least. When we moved to my current home, it was like a breath of fresh air (pun intended). The perfect balance of green and town. Nature cheers me up!
O Is For Obsessiveness
When it comes to books, obsessiveness is pretty apt. Whether it be the amount of books I actually have or how I arrange them in my house or how I go about reviewing the books I read. If you have read one of my reviews then you will probably agree that they are too long but I do really worry that I haven’t included something so that is why they ramble on. Will the world end if I don’t keep my paperbacks and hardbacks separate? Probably not but let’s not take that risk.
P Is For Paternal
Being a dad is beyond important to me. Having kids is hard, messy, loud, sleepy and expensive but all the laughs, cuddles, legendary/mind-blowing moments and unconditional love makes it all worth it. I know… ‘wait till they grow up’… I am going to be so gutted when my boys are embarrassed of me :(.
Q Is For Quizzes
My grandfather used to put together these Christmas quizzes every year for as long as I can remember and now I can’t resist a good quiz. Me and my wife share a love of games of all varieties and one thing we bonded over was quiz night. That and charades. We love the charades.
R Is For Restaurants
Before I worked at my current job working with survival equipment, I was a waiter. Before that I was in retail but working in a restaurant/bar felt like my first real job. I know people who hate working restaurants and clubs but I loved it. Running around, the people, the music and the bonds you have with other staff. It can be surprisingly satisfying.
S Is For Short Stories
I wish I was a writer. I have so many ideas for short stories that I think would be awesome. I don’t think I have the patience to write a novel in its entirety but I would love to put a story to paper to see if I could surprise myself. I do have a story that has been digging itself into the fibres of my brain and pops up daily to remind me of its existence. I just don’t believe I am the one to write the story. Short Stories are my number one favourite styles of writing so I would be honoured if I could contribute to the cause. I will just put a pin in that I think.
T Is For Tobias
Yes! More offspring! Tobias looks exactly like his mother in every way. He gives his brother a run for his money even though he is 3 years younger. He is now just learning to talk and it seems like he has plenty to say about life.
U Is For Unboxing
I may have got the bug from my first experience with a subscription book box called MyChronicleBookBox. It is so satisfying to unbox stuff, no wonder there is a whole entertainment industry surrounding it. I am definitely an unboxer now. That is as dorky as it sounds…
V Is For Venice
I don’t really travel. I had anxiety issues as a youth which didn’t really inspire my travel curiosity. I did go to Italy for a week though and went to Venice. That was a cool trip, I never knew that Venice was made up of 118 islands. Each one has its own custom and style. We visited quite a few, including the glass blowing island, and I was blown away (bad pun… awful pun). So different from where I am from 😀
W Is For Wife (Skip this one if you can’t handle affection)
My wife is my best friend. I am not gushing, that is the truth. We could take on anything in the world when we work together and I love it. We have been married for almost six years and I dearly hope we can make it to sixty. You can call me naive or ignorant but I truly believe that we belong together. Our relationship isn’t perfect, not a single one is. But I can rely on my wife when it matters and that means the world to me. (This post should have come with a free sick bag but I couldn’t afford it so… apologies)
X Is For Xenagogy
X is a tough letter. A lot of X words are negative! So I have gone with Xenagogy which is a super posh word for………. A Guidebook. Because this post is like a guide to me. And Always Trust In Books… I’m sorry this has been a long post! But it you have to admit! It is an interesting word of the day!
Y Is For Yabbering
I do tend to yabber, especially during reviews and general conversations. My wife loves to watch me talk to people in shops and other settings as I am, for want of a better word, awkward. She’s happy to watch me go on and on not making any sense for ages until finally stepping in and clearing up any confusion with ease. Its a shame she doesn’t translate my reviews into simple, short passages but wheres the charm in that?
Z Is For Zapatos (Shoes)
I have been learning Spanish for quite some time now. On and off for years really. I couldn’t assign an element of my life or blog to the letter Z so here we are. Shoes! I do love the Spanish language and I do one day foresee myself actually speaking it properly instead of blurting out random words occasionally whenever it suits me. We can all dream. My favourite Spanish word is probably Maravilloso or Asqueroso (yes I know what the second one means) as they are fun to say.
Thank you for sitting through probably my longest post to date! I am not sure why I did the whole alphabet in one go or whether it is too much of me and my blog in one place but hey, it’s finished and I am happy with how it came out. I had to cut this down btw… a lot. I hope plenty of people make it to the end. If your reading this then I thank you 1000 times over. Please tell me some things about yourself in the comments! CNN Clown Jim Acosta Whines: Trump Didn’t Pick Me!
CNN’s Chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta is damn lucky to have a job, what with the way he has conducted himself in the press room for the last two years. You would think that someone who has singlehandedly turned the reputation of the White House press corps into a running joke would think about toning it down every now and again. Maybe stop pretending he’s the star of the show and just, you know, report the facts?
But no, that’s not Jim Acosta’s way. He’s there to turn himself into Trump’s “nemesis,” and everything he asks, does, says, or tweets is geared to bolstering his reputation. Not with the public, mind you, but with that small sliver of the public that both watches CNN and considers itself part of the Resistance.
And so we got this embarrassing stuff on Thursday.
From Fox News:
CNN’s Jim Acosta on Thursday bemoaned the fact that President Trump didn’t call on him during a news conference after the abrupt end of the Hanoi summit between the U.S. and North Korea.
During a segment following the news conference, Acosta asserted that Trump may have avoided White House press corps journalists in an effort to dodge questions about Michael Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer, who testified Wednesday on the Capitol Hill.
“First of all, we have to point out the obvious, which is the president steered clear largely during this news conference of the White House press corps and instead selected journalists at random from the other side of the room, where foreign journalists were seated,” Acosta said.
But Acosta didn’t mention that Trump called on at least two journalists from the White House press corps, including CBS’s Major Garrett – who was the first reporter called on – and ABC News’ Jonathan Karl, who quizzed Trump on Cohen’s testimony.
Fox News also reported that Trump took questions from Bloomberg, the Washington Post, NPR, and The New York Times. Not exactly a quartet of conservative-friendly publications, as far as we can tell.
So what Acosta really meant by pointing out the “obvious” was that Trump didn’t call on widdle ol’ him.
What a clown.

"They are going to rip us apart" - These Liverpool fans think their CL hopes are dead and buried
Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after Jurgen Klopp revealed that Joe Gomez will not make the Champions League last 16 first leg against Bayern Munich.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference before the game against West Ham, the German boss said: “No, I don’t think so. After that any time, but we will see”, when quizzed if the former Charlton defender would be fit to face the Bavarians.
Virgil van Dijk is also out for the crunch clash against the reigning Bundesliga champions, meaning that Klopp may have to deploy Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren against the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Arjen Robben – truly frightful stuff for fans of the Reds.
Be sure to check out the incredible story of the man who rose from a Tanzanian refugee camp to become one of Australia’s biggest football stars in the video below…
21-year-old Gomez suffered a fractured leg in the 3-1 win against Burnley at Turf Moor in December, and whilst the Merseysiders have managed to stay top of the league in his absence, fans are worried about dropping out of the Champions League without him.
Well, if their reactions on Twitter are anything to go by…

Good thing we got a great CB to cover oh wait

Christ, been here before with Gomez, always seems to take months longer than first suggested for him to return, now relying on Lovren and Matip to remain injury free ???

Huge fan of joe but the kid cannot stay fit for the life of him. Need another elite cb to pair with vvd.
— T’Charlie (@MrCharlieWonder) February 1, 2019
They are going to rip us apart without them both Van Dijk and Gomez. So bad. Anfield used to be an adventage for us where we could actually make an adventage before second leg away game. I can’t see it happening this time.#LFC
— Karol Konofał (@Nienawistnik_) February 1, 2019
play Fabinho and CB for that game please. both Lovren and Matip are going to get us destroyed.
— BoyOfTheWild’s (@BoyOfTheWilds) February 1, 2019
Love Joe but Need another CB in the summer. Can’t be a long term plan if you can’t stay on the pitch.
— Henry Charles (@hgcNYC) February 1, 2019
Finally we should’ve been out the CL in the groups, hopefully we get smashed out and win the prem
