STORY: A one-day sweep in Wayne County, Michigan, identified and recovered 123 missing children. “Operation MISafeKid” was focused on locating victims of sex trafficking and took place on Sept. 26. It involved multiple agencies, including the U.S. Marshals Service, the F.B.I., Michigan State Police, the Detroit Police Department, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Investigators looked into missing child case files prior to the operation and began by visiting last known addresses, friend’s homes and schools in hopes of finding them in a safe place. “Out of 301 files of missing children, 123 were identified and recovered safely during the operation,” the U.S. Marshals Service said in a statement released Tuesday. “All 123 children were physically located and interviewed — standard protocol for the Michigan State Police. All of the children located were interviewed about potentially being sexually victimized or used in a sex trafficking ring during their period of time that they were deemed missing. Three cases were identified as being possible sex trafficking cases.” Additionally, investigators uncovered information about two missing children in Texas and one in Minnesota. Jolene Beyer-Lacrue, 19, is charged with child molestation that leads to death. Beyer-Lacrue was the mother of the victim, 9-month-old Gianna Rosales, the police said. Rosales was rushed to hospital on August 3, 2020 after injuries. Rosales died the next day, and the doctor's office found that her cause of death was blunt violent injuries. Earlier this month, Beyer-Lacrue's friend Cain Gallardo was arrested for first degree murder on the child's death. The warrant sworn affidavits in the case are sealed and no further information has been released. The child's father, Anthony Rosales, spoke to Denver last August7. He said he feared his daughter was in danger and contacted several authorities before she died. "You let me down," he said in August. Rosales said he remembered jumping out of bed early August 3 and rushed to Denver Health Medical Center after his mother told him something was wrong with his daughter. Rosales says it was the first time he saw his daughter in over two weeks because Gianna's mother kept his daughter away. "They (doctors) told me they wouldn't respond and then they would go into cardiac arrest," Rosales said. Read the full article

Over the course of April, multiple governors across America have faced lawsuits over their Executive Orders that direct residents to remain home. Many parts of these orders have banned movements such as traveling between homes, visiting friends and families, gathering at religious institutions, and more.

  One of the latest governors to face a lawsuit is Colorado’s own Jared Polis. Earlier this month, Colorado resident Glenn Raliegh sued the state’s governor, affirming that Polis’ stay-at-home directive violates the First Amendment, Fifth Amendment, and 14th Amendment, noted CBS Denver.

Reviewing the Lawsuit Against Colorado Gov. Polis

Raliegh’s legal suit against the Colorado governor does not mince words. As the plaintiff, the Colorado resident states that Polis’ order is not justified by COVID-19.

Also, Raliegh’s lawsuit presents a New England Journal of Medicine article written by coronavirus task force Dr. Anthony Fauci as evidence. In this article, Fauci clearly states that projected COVID-19 death rates were overestimated; within the March 29, 2020 article, Fauci moreover claims that the deaths from coronavirus will mirror those of a “bad flu.”

Additional pointers in Raliegh’s suit against Gov. Polis note that Executive Orders prompted by coronavirus cannot and must not ban constitutional rights, such as voting rights and free speech rights.

The Colorado resident also included in the lawsuit direct ways in which Gov. Polis’ stay-at-home order has adversely impacted him. According to Raliegh, this mandate is negatively impairing his ability to make a living by selling property; likewise, the Colorado resident is struggling to frequent his weekly chiropractic meetings or purchase property in the state.
