Okay so let me set the background

We have Copper (or as he refers to himself "The Great and Mighty Copper!!"): 4ft orange kobold (human years like 32). He's an ex assassin from the planet 3310 in the capital city. He retired from assassin work after an identity crisis and lived in a literal hole in the wall in the abandoned district. That is where he met Nephira, an unlikely acquaintance turned friend (Copper wouldn't admit that). Coppers personality is that of like cursing people out, being intimidating and grumpy, liking knives and other weapons. He's crochety earnest and quirky. When serious he's very dangerous (his assassin name was The Silent Sleeper). He currently lives in retirement and is a technology/hacking expert. Beneath the exterior he's a very sweet and caring guy but it takes forever to get there only Nephiras gotten really close.

So Nephira Quest! He is a tiefling (human years 35). On 3310 he was a well known fighter in the planetary competitions until he lost a major round with a large injury to his face which resulted in his agent dropping him. He turned to selling drugs (he calls the Good Stuff) and other things with the goal of becoming the centralized merchant in the black market sector. On the exterior his personality comes off very dramatic, eccentric, charming, and a little emotional and cowardly. Though he's very calculating and strong beneath that, always trying to gain power (for safety reasons) in being someone with the most knowledge (that he sells as a Fun Fact). Copper was his first merchant connection and they were acquainted before. Over time, Nephira really trusts him implicitly.

Both lore wise: they both escaped this planet together by hijacking a ship (+ with nephiras canon bf/situationship/ex/its complicated af) to go to a planet untouched by their corrupt government system where they lived out until my players current campaign screwed up that good deal. (That's not really relevant to this post).

In my mind thr romance: in my mind after Nephira and the third person I mentioned broke up on the new planet nephira and his ex (who at this time did canonical havr a very business only mutual pining regret toxic yaoi situation) started to spend more time with Copper and their teasing arguing bantering led Nephira to be like umm holy shit wait .....and Copper responded by being like ummm yeah im.happy alone lol die and explode !(but really he was scared of letting someone in). They then started hanging out more and Nephira took him out on a pseudo date where Copper spent a lot of it perched on his shoulders and he realized how ummm safe he felt and sooo they kindaaa yeahh dating begins ! And I imagine Coppers walls fall over time and he jokingly complains constantly how he's lost his edge and he's a sap and he can't be mean anymore and all he does is spend time being sweet to Nephira. Though Nephira does feel charmed when he's a total chaotic asshole to everyone else, usually Nephiras shoulders are used to perch so copper can better yell at people for being stupid and awful. And Nephira himself drops the charm and politeness to being real and down to earth. They are soo they are just sooo fuckingggg ahhhhhhhhhh

One thing I've thought about for BOT is to make an OST Playlist. Like a Playlist of songs that are intrinsically parts of this story. I also will be making character Playlists so.

I keep thinking about the song honeybee by steampunk giraffe and how it relates to my ocs relationship that for part of the story will be doomed (angst sorry). Like we're doomed and now I havr to grieve and was i crazy for loving you do you hear me.

Ranting about some BOT OCs. Today's spotlight is on the duo Candace and the Count Point.

Hes her Count, her boss and she's his most trusted. They both wish for things to be easy, to just be friends and not caught up in a system of war. The count doesn't want to be a count, Candace doesn't want to lead people to their deaths. They rarely talk about it.

They find solace behind the antique shop smoking together because it's the only moment that makes sense, that makes things seem normal. Smoking together like old friends, with that casual sort of intimacy. When the smoke blurs their faces it makes them forget of what goes on for just a mere moment. She hates him she loves him she doesn't want anything to do with him has faith in him. He loves her he hates himself he has faith in things she doesn't he has no faith in himself.

She's his captain of the navy, he's the count. It'd be easier if they could just be friends. Can they even be friends after everything is dismantled. Will it even be dismantled? Will they live that long..

Worldbuilding Context/Story Summary: BOT is a story about climate disaster leading into "time" disaster (the flow of time itself freezing/stopping) full of wars, political instability, and militarization. The current story begins at a few years after the 2nd Time War, of which was a civil war, where there has been more time collapse at an increasingly severe degree out of nowhere. Our main characters find ourselves investigating the cause. The story is meant to critique war, militarism, climate inaction, and many other things. The genre is action/fantasy/steampunk-esque.

This story has been a long time WIP that I've recently been rewriting. Thus, things are subject to being changed in the canon as i figure it out...* (for example, military titles may be changed as i currently am using basic ones as a place holder)

Character Info Below:

Name: Eliza Sherri Blackwell (she/her)

General Appearance: white. Dyed dark red long hair worn in pigtails with choppy long bangs, brown eye (Left) and glowing green prosthetic eye (right) due to time shard insertion (this eye can be used to enhance aiming/perception/zooming in). The prosthetic is due to eye-loss related injury. Left eye/face is heavily scarred due to stab wound. She wears an eyepatch over the prosthetic due to it causing migraines after long use. She is 5 foot 5 and 28 years old.

Occupation(s): Admiral of the Navy; Owner of a gun/projectile weapon's shop (which makes customs/etc.)

Uniform/Outfits: Naval uniform (when required), generally wears jumpsuits (black leather/etc.) with a light jacket and lace boots. Casual-wear can be anything, though i'd describe her aesthetic/fashion sense as very casual/baggy with lots of hoodies/snapbacks/etc.

General/non-spoilerish background: Eliza is the admiral of the navy, specifically supervising the branch at the country's capital & harbor (+ neighboring towns/county). Her boss is the Noble Senator: the Count of this city. She never wanted to join the military, nor lead a branch of it. She is married to another military officer (Clover) and currently her and her wife are leading the investigation to the most recent time disasters. Her parents hold religious and military influence.

Weapon proficiency: Her standard battling is around dual pistols & small hand daggers she hides in her boots. Though with her eye modification, she often will do long distance/sniping.
