Megan was popularly known at home for being included in many dance competitions, and was well loved by classmates and students for her positive attitude and good grades. Her positive attitude and good leadership lead her to her position as the leader. ✯ Park Sanghee is the main rapper and dancer of Bad Girls Club. Sanghee always had a big personality, she made friends every where she went earning herself the title of a social butterfly from a young age. Despite her fun and social nature, many didn’t like her. Sanghee was never prone to the idea of changing yourself so someone will like you, so if someone didn’t like the way she acted, she laughed in their faces and told them to suck it. Sanghee became a trainee under YG entertainment when she was 16, she trained for 2 years before terminating her contract and leaving the label because she didn’t get along with majority of the trainees and they simply pissed her off! She joined Mindmix shortly after, and joined Bad Girl Academy only a year later, becoming a fan favorite quickly.

✯ Lisha Wen is the main vocalist of Bad Girls Club. Lisha was born and raised in New York City, her love for singing and arts in general came from a young age. Lisha has always been a fun girl, despite being a bit childish, she’s very easy to get along with and is known for her sense of humor. When becoming a trainee, Lisha was nervous to be in a new environment, but the girl made herself a name very quickly for insane talent and her almost taboo attitude. Lisha didn’t care who you were, if you disrespect her, she won’t sit back and take it. Though this gave her a reputation that didn’t quite fit her, it’s how she and Sanghee had became friends. Now as a member of Bad Girls Club, she’s earning herself a title as one of the best vocalist of the generation!

✯ Lim Yunseo know mononymously as Cloe is the Center and Lead Vocalist of Bad Girls Club. Growing up, Cloe had many many friends. This was simply because, she grew up in an area that appreciated social status, and Cloe’s family was absolutely loaded. Her personality, grew into one of a snob. Despite her awful personality, the young girl was always a talented vocalist and performer. She did dance and theatre when she was younger along side vocal lessons, later going to an arts high school. When becoming a trainee, she was heavily favored by Mindmix. She participated on Produce 48, nearly making it into iz*one. It soon became rumored among the trainees that Cloe’s parents paid a generous amount to have her debut and promoted well after the show. Despite this, the girl has many sides to her that others don’t know and is overlooked by many of her peers.

✯ Kim Taehee is the visual and main vocalist of Bad Girls Club. From an early age, Taehees striking visuals were appreciated, her parents deciding to have her model for a few years. Taehee enjoyed it a lot, she enjoyed being the center of attention, and she enjoyed showing off her beauty. She soon found a love for music, and started writing music in her down time. She finally expressed her love to her parents, and they couldn’t deny that she was talented at singing and writing so they looked into auditions for their daughter. She became a trainee not long after under Mindmix Media. Despite how much they did to support her, Taehee never felt like they cared about her enjoying it. Rather about how popular and rich their daughter would become. Despite this, she chose to ignore her negative feelings. The girl has become a popular member in Bad Girls Club, and she continues to show off her beauty and talents any chance possible.

✯ Matsuno Erena is the Lead Rapper and Lead Dancer of Bad Girls Club. Erena always had a big passion for arts and fashion. The girl always was bright, but she had a stand-off demeanor and a strong rbf leaving the girl to be a bit of a loner in school. Despite this she focused hard on dance and at the age of 15 she moved to South Korea and joined Heartkind Labels. She soon debuted at age 17 in the group ‘COLORIZED’ which disbanded two years later due to lack of attention and budget. Heavily disappointed, the girl considered returning to Japan and taking a look into the fashion industry. Erena’s former member Addy gave her information on a label holding auditions, a bit impulsively she auditioned. She joined Mindmix debuting in Bad Girls Club two years later.

✯ Tiara Shen is the main dancer and lead vocalist of Bad Girls Club. Tiara was always the youngest of everything, everywhere she went. At school she was the youngest of her grade, at home she was the youngest child and cousin, and when becoming a trainee she was the youngest of her teams majority of the time. The girl always wanted to feel more grown up, she felt as if everyone treated her like a child and she hated it. Despite this, she was quite childish, and hard to treat like an adult. The girl was immature, she was naive and often times referred to as ‘too nice for her own good.’ Her talent in dance lead her to try auditioning for Mindmix, her family disapproved of the idea but told her it was her choice. They became hostile when she began training, and soon she just stopped trying to talk to them for her own sake. Her debut in Bad Girls Club was anticipated due to her participation on Girls Planet 999, and was not surprising, as many fans loved her on Bad Girl Academy and her talents were never overlooked!

Helen Hayes MacArthur (born in Washington, D.C. on October 10, 1900 – March 17, 1993) was an American actress of Irish, Dutch, and English descent whose career spanned eighty-two years and regarded as the "First Lady of American Theatre."
Hayes made her stage debut at five with her mother's encouragement. At nine, she made her Broadway debut, and a year later, she was cast in the one-reel Vitagraph film.
She moved to Hollywood in 1931 when her husband became a screenwriter for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, where she also became a contract player. She made her film debut in The Sin of Madelon Claudet (1932), for which she received an Academy Award. Although she made a number of later films, within four years she returned to Broadway for the greatest success of her career: Gilbert Miller's production of Victoria Regina.
Hayes would return intermittently to Hollywood with featured roles in films, television, and radio, including a film comeback in disaster film Airport (1970), earning her a second Oscar. She retired in 1985 and spent her remaining years in her longtime home of Pretty Penny, in Nyack, New York, where she died of congestive heart failure at 92.

Note
very late, but aruru submitter again!! it's like, a little hard to explain what all exactly is going on with revue starlight, but i'll try my best! essentially, revue starlight is a multimedia franchise with three main facets!
the basics
revue starlight as a franchise revolves around young girls partaking in underground battles (typically referred to as Revues or Auditions) to try and claim the title of Top Star, which comes with the ability to perform in any one stage and show of her choosing! the participants in a revue perform songs as they battle, which is why a good chunk of the fandom overlaps with other anime music franchises such as love live or bang dream! at the beginning of the series, it primarily features nine students attended seisho music academy (two of which are currently participating in battle-couple-battle at the time of writing!) as they prepare for their annual performance of the play Starlight! the rest of the girls, including aruru, don't come in until later installments (primarily the game, but there's a fair few characters that got their start in the stageplays!
the stageplays/concerts
live action performances done in person by the voice actors of all the characters! most franchises that have stageplays tend to get different actors for the stageplays since not every voice actor is comfortable with stage acting, but revstar actually went the other way around! revue starlight started with its first stageplay, so the (main) girls all started out with stage actors, all of which persisted into their animated roles! revstar was actually the start of a fair few of the actors' start in the voiceover side of the acting business! while none of the stageplays have been officially translated, fan translators have been working hard to make sure that the english side of the fanbase can partake in them as well! i personally lean towards the fansubs done by spicyveggiesub on here, if you're interested! there's also the concerts! most of which are centered around just performing songs that don't originate from the stageplays, but occasionally also feature story segments!
the anime
i find it easiest to describe the anime as the jumping off point for the franchise despite it coming after the first stageplay because a lot of the plotlines for the (main) girls got expanded upon here! officially the first stageplay and the 12 episodes of the anime are both valid starting points, but personally i would say the anime does a better job as a hook than the first stageplay does. would definitely recommend watching both though! but anyway, after the anime there's also the OVA (which is split into three shorts), the recap movie Rondo Rondo Rondo (which i would recommend watching due to having some additional content!), and the sequel movie!
the game
this is where aruru first gets introduced! prior to the game's release the franchise focused on the 9 girls from the main school of the franchise (seisho music academy), but the game introduced three new schools (rinmeikan girls school, frontier school of arts, and siegfeld institute of music) with five members each, all with their own unique stories that intertwine in the main plot! aruru attends frontier school of arts, and in terms of irl marketing is considered the school's "main" character! truthfully speaking, i really wouldn't recommend *actually* playing the game, as its incredibly scummy in terms of powercreep and microtransactions, but i would whole-heartedly recommend reading the stories online!
i can totally understand that having all of that thrown at you at once can sound a bit overwhelming, but i promise it's not nearly as bad as it looks! currently, aruru's appearances are in the game's school story for frontier school of arts, the game's main story (with her biggest role being during the main story's third arc, arcana arcadia!), assorted game event stories, and the starry diamond concert! i will say that i don't particularly recommend jumping straight into the game stories for aruru, as they feature pretty big spoilers for the 12 episode anime and first stageplay, but altogether those only take about six hours to watch! i would get into what i would personally recommend as a watch/read order for all the content outside of the game, but this ask is already crazy long, so i'll leave that for if you're interested in starting!
OOh, alrighty!! And fr don't mind the long ask, honestly I'm able to read and enjoy any length if it's split into some sort of chunks like here lmao
Honestly because the anime is very short compared to other popular series, I'll probably end up finding time to watch it, and I suppose from there I'll try to get into the games for Aruru! I am a sucker for musical-like thing and anime, so it definitely could end up being a fixation lkdsf
I'm not super sure what to say but the info is very appreciated and has been absorbed! It's kinda funny to me that of the series I've been told about so far, two of them had to do with performing arts and I just had no idea

Celebrating Jonathan Frid
Jonathan Frid (December 2, 1924 – April 14, 2012) was a Canadian actor, best known for his role as vampire Barnabas Collins on the gothic television soap opera Dark Shadows.
Frid was born of Scottish and English ancestry in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. His birth name was John Herbert Frid. He was the youngest son of homemaker Isabel Flora (née McGregor) and Herbert Percival "H.P." Frid, a construction executive.
Frid served in the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II. He graduated from McMaster University in Hamilton in 1948, and the following year was accepted at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. He moved to the United States in 1954, and received a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Directing from the Yale School of Drama in 1957. As a student at Yale in 1956, he starred in the premiere of William Snyder's play A True and Special Friend. He went on to star in the first productions at the Williamstown Theater in Williamstown, Massachusetts and stage productions in Canada, England and the United States.
Tumblr media
He began using the stage name Jonathan Frid (rather than John Frid) in 1962, and made his Broadway debut as an understudy in the 1964 play Roar Like a Dove.
Early television roles with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation included parts in Julius Caesar, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Our Town, and The Picture of Dorian Gray.
Tumblr media
Frid is widely known for the role of vampire Barnabas Collins in the original gothic serial Dark Shadows, which ran from 1966-71 and in which he appeared in 594 episodes. He also starred as Barnabas in the 1970 movie House of Dark Shadows. In 1967, Frid had made plans to move to the U.S. West Coast to pursue a career as an acting teacher when he won the role that ultimately made him a household name. As Frid explained on his Web site, he had barely entered his apartment as the phone call from his agent came informing him that he had won the role of Barnabas Collins. He agreed to accept it after being told it was a short-term one that would provide him with extra cash while he prepared to move. As the character's popularity soared, Frid scrapped those plans.
Tumblr media
After Dark Shadows ended in 1971, he returned to performing in live theatre full-time with starring roles in the Broadway plays Murder in the Cathedral as Thomas Becket and Wait Until Dark as Harry Roat. Frid had previously played the role of a psychiatrist on the CBS Television soap opera As the World Turns. In 1973, Frid appeared in the TV movie The Devil's Daughter, starring Shelley Winters, and the following year starred in Oliver Stone's directorial debut, Seizure. In 1978, he returned to Canada for a time and later returned to New York City in the early 1980s.
Tumblr media
In December 1986, Frid joined the Broadway cast of Arsenic and Old Lace co-starring with Jean Stapleton, and subsequently spent over a year with the show on the road. Earlier in 1986, he formed his own production company, Clunes Associates, with producer Mary O’Leary to tour universities and performing arts centers in a series of readers' theatre entertainments, principally Fools & Fiends, Shakespearean Odyssey and Fridiculousness. "Frid makes the tales live with the wonderful instrument of his voice and his zest for entertaining" went one of his noteworthy reviews.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Frid retired to his native Canada in 1994. From time to time he would perform his one-man shows for charitable and fundraising events.  In June 2000, he returned to the professional stage in a limited engagement of the play Mass Appeal, first in Hamilton, then at the Stirling Festival Theatre in Stirling, Ontario.
Tumblr media
In 2010, he returned to the role of Barnabas Collins for the first time in 39 years in a Dark Shadows audio drama, Night Whispers. The following year along with his former Dark Shadows co-stars David Selby, Lara Parker and Kathryn Leigh Scott, he filmed a cameo appearance for Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows film, which became his final film appearance. Just a few weeks prior to the film release Frid died at the Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton on April 14, 2012 following a fall at the age of 87.

Talents: Acting,Makeup,Directing Plays,Making Casting Sheets,Looking Fabulous,Flirtation,Energizing a Room,Singing,Posing
Elemental Magic: Light/Flora
Unique Magic: "Egg em off stage!" - Bobbie can conjure an infinite amount of eggs filled with whatever she wants them filled with and often throws them at whatever/whoever is making her angry repeatedly.
OC’s Lore Summary: A stage performer who once had her name in lights as a main cast in a play. Now retired she struggles to do normal things as her mind only thinks about her days on the stage. She finally decided to see if teaching/seeing others continue stage life would keep her happy.
Personality: Bobbie can come off as dramatic a lot given she is usually in acting mode but that's not all the time. She is super flirty around her coworkers, always trying to get a date or invite to her place. It's an annoying way to ask for friends as she thinks only those who love her would be her friends. She can get vain if seeing someone getting a lot of attention over her but that's just her not accepting she isn't the center of attention any more. When tired or off work she shows her true nature of just being lonely and wanting someone to give her a little bit of attention.
Fun Facts: Bobbie started acting at age 6. Often was casted as a monster as a kid.
Most comments about Bobbie stage acting were about how her deep voice carried and felt good in people's ear whenever she talked or sang.
Even though she may be too old for bows, Bobbie always wears one in her hair. People she flirts with often say they can't take her seriously as she looks childish with it on. She knows it looks cute so ignores comments about her bow.
She is mostly known for monster and demon play roles given how she looks but she has some regular roles too she is proud of.
She had no preference when it came to roles. She would try out for male, female, and all other types. Often getting evil male or effeminate male roles.
Since retirement she has struggled to do basic things as she always had someone doing them for her. She constantly fights with her washing machine, microwaves all her food, and will throw something away and get new one rather than clean it. Only thing she has been ok with is the dishwasher.
Bobbie wears what seems to be a diamond wedding ring on her left hand but everyone knows she is not married. She bought it for herself as a way to distract her mind from loneliness as she can imagine getting married when looking at it.
She needs friends but always tries to turn a potential friend into a lover even just for a night so she barely has anyone who'd say she is their friend. Most are stage performers who never see her in person so don't get hit on as they know how she is but still care about her. They text or talk to her on the phone or on social media sites.

Daniel Craig & Stephen Colbert
NJ's Montclair Film Festival is proud to honor Daniel Craig with its 2022 Tribute! Stephen Colbert will host Mr. Craig on stage at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in downtown Newark, NJ on Friday, October 28, 2022, at 8:00 PM!
Tumblr media
Daniel Craig is hailed as one of the finest actors of his generation on stage, screen, and television. Last year Craig returned for his fifth and final turn as ‘Bond’ in NO TIME TO DIE. The film was nominated for Outstanding British Film of the Year at the 2022 BAFTA Film Awards and won the Academy Award® for Original Song.
In 2019 Craig was seen in Rian Johnson’s hugely successful film, KNIVES OUT. A whodunit contemporary murder mystery, Daniel starred as ‘Benoit Blanc’ alongside Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Chris Evans, and Toni Colette. Craig’s standout performance earned him a Golden Globe Award nomination. He reprises his role for the sequel – GLASS ONION: A KNIVES OUT MYSTERY – alongside a stellar cast including Kathryn Hahn, Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, Kate Hudson, and Jessica Henwick.
Ticket information https://montclairfilm.org/events/an-evening-with-daniel-craig-stephen-colbert/ This event is the major fundraiser for Montclair Film.
