A/N: under the cut to avoid spoilers since this game is fairly new. Following above link will lead to a slightly spoilery summary.
This was a bit of an anomaly as far as things I write in a lot of ways, but I feel like these girls-even as much as I wished they'd been a little more fleshed-out in-game-taught me a lot about how I write and how I respond to what a character wants to do. I can't even count the number of times a section was rewritten because the dialogue felt too easy to be natural to Yan! Ugh. Anyway, I felt really confused by the way the ending happened in the game and felt like…the human arm would've been the way to go to get Vi back. And then the fact that no matter what arm you choose you get the same letter post-credits? I'm not knocking it. But I guess I did kinda rewrite the whole ending and middle a bit to get to where I wanted because the way that Yan just. Does whatever will help Vi and slowly comes out of her shell while doing so just tickled me. Vi is so sweet and they both deserved so much better. I think the game was so stylish and beautiful-I wanted to know more and more about it and I hope we get more. But I also hope that if you came away from the ending feeling kinda like "what happened what was that exactly"…that I got you with this story. ;)
They announced an Arknights event at Tokyo Anime Center in Shibuya earlier today and it’s funny to me that The Woman With No Lore is a frontliner postergirl for the whole shebang alongside two established lore powerhouses and another fan favorite but that does have lore.
This... Is the power of featuring in every guide, ever!
I very much doubt that the negotiations in Lungman went smoothly.
In the game, of course, we were shown the tension and severity of the moment, the negative emotions of the characters, but I think they were even more disgusting, hard
So the idea for this reversal came. I drew a regretful Ch'en after the news that Amiya and Kal'tsit got out of the disaster alive, a furious Yan Wei, an angry Kal'tsit, standing up for the crying Amiya.
As I'm rewatching Arknights: Prelude to Dawn to get ready for the new season coming out, I'm reminded of the missed opportunity to have this gem as the closing song. It's a crime that it was only run for CN 3.5!
Part of Arknight's charm for me is that it is always dancing on the edge of not quite taking itself seriously. Even if Yostar wants to take a serious tone with the show, I feel like the outro would be fair game. I wonder if we'll get some more light moments in Perish in Frost...
Also the song is just such a bop and the animation is too cute!
Rating: E - there is domestic fluff but there are a lot of parts that are unabashedly filthy
Summary:
“I, um. I’d be okay with wearing it. That thing you think about on me so much.”
“Wait…wait! How do you-?”
Amiya shrinks in the water against Swire, blinking up at her owlishly.
“I, wasn’t trying to eavesdrop-! But, some of your thoughts are-louder, than others.”
---
Or; Amiya, Swire, and Ch'en end up trying out some roleplay.
