🤔Anyone else have trouble controlling how much they eat? Even when they are full or not even hungry? 🤔 When does this happen for you? For me it tends to happen a whole 1-2 weeks before I start my period. AUGUST 11, 2019-AUGUST 11, 2020 Today marks 1 year after my VSG (verticle sleeve gastrectomy) surgery. I can't express how thankful and blessed I am to have had this opportunity to better myself physically and mentally. It has not been easy at all! I'd say, the beginning months were a lot easier than it is now. Believe it or not. The further out we are from surgery the more we have to work on our eating habits. Even with this new weight loss tool, it is easy to gain the weight back. These days I am in a constant battle with myself. I shouldn't eat this, I shouldn't eat that. But it's okay it's just this time, or it's just a little bit. But a little turns into a lot and just this time turns into every day. I have lost about 81 pounds from my heaviest weight which was 295 pounds. Today I weighed in at 214 pounds. I have been stuck between about 206-217 pounds for months. The lowest I've been since my surgery was 199 pounds. That was a short lived victory. The battle was won, with my initial weight loss, but the war has just begun. I still have a long way to go mentally and physically to be at where I want to be. I pray for strength, patience and discipline. I am so thankful for all the support I have had throughout this journey and I thank everyone who are still supporting and rooting for me. I've come so far in my weight-loss journey to mess things up now. I am a year and 5 months post-op and have fallen back into many bad habits, new and old. I eat when bored, I eat a lot of junk, and drink (not excessively). I've started intermittent fasting to help with hydration by drinking only water all morning and to help cut down on the excess amount of food I eat throughout the day. I do a lot of snacking. With some changed behaviors, motivation, and a plan, I can make the moves necessary to reach my target weight of 175-190lbs. (Depending on weight to muscle ratio.)
