“you’re like, his guardian angel or something.” one of the other guys slurred, jabbing his shot glass in chanhee’s direction. his friend took the glass out of his hand and had him lean back in his seat. “you’re always taking care of him when he does fucking stupid shit.”

chanhee grimaced at the profanity, and the stench of alcohol, but laughed it off. “do you really think angels and demons are real?” one of the others laughed, finding it ridiculous.

like clockwork, juyeon walked in. he was dressed, once again, in all black and had that devilish smile on his face. “i think they’re very real.” gosh, chanhee could’ve barfed right then.

the room erupted in cheers, greeting juyeon with open arms. literally. each and every one of them got up to hug him, including younghoon. the lingering scent of juyeon clung to everyone, and he felt like he was going to be sick. it was extremely repulsive and it made his skin crawl. when he decided he couldn’t take it anymore, he made up an excuse and locked himself in the bathroom.

juyeon smirked and watched him run away. after a few moments, making sure everyone was distracted, he followed. he debated knocking, but knew chanhee wouldn’t open the door. so, he looked around to make sure nobody saw, and dissipated into a cloud of black smoke, slipping under the door.

“boo.”

chanhee wanted to scream, but juyeon’s hand clasped over his mouth. the area where their skin made contact felt like it was on fire, like he’d break out into blisters. feeling a rush of an unknown feeling, he raised a leg and kicked him wherever he could reach from his position on the floor. he felt a sharp pain in his wings, but he ignored it, reading it off as just having bound them down wrong.

“oh? so the angel’s a little feisty.” juyeon stood tall. “i like feisty, baby.”

gulping, chanhee stared up at him. he felt emotions he’d never felt before, and he was very confused. it was as if something had switched in him, because now he wanted to harm juyeon.

standing almost eye to eye, chanhee let his initial fear of juyeon disintegrate. he puffed his chest and challenged the demon. “i’m not weak. you’re not going to win.”

in the blink of an eye, juyeon pinned chanhee against the wall. a hand of his was resting on his throat, not applying any pressure, but holding him in place. he wedged a knee between chanhee’s legs, also using his body weight to dominate him.

“is that so?” his voice was laced in sin and temptation. chanhee panicked and immediately began mentally praying to the heavens. juyeon laughed. “your god can’t help you now, angel. you’re all mine.”

chanhee felt like he dissociated. he couldn’t think clearly, and he felt like he was witnessing this from someone else’s body, someone else’s point of view. his eyes were hazed, and he could only make out the shape of juyeon’s body and the bright red his eyes flashed.

“i’m your god now.”
