If I've learned anything about Barbatos from the first season of An Archdemon's Dilemma, it's that he has TERRIBLE timing. Why he thought he could get up to any kind of mischief in Zagan's house without being caught is beyond me. But then again, he is astonishingly stupid.

Do these two have a ship name? I'm gonna go with Barbastille. I've only seen the anime, but I know juuuuust enough about the manga to know that my ship IS going to come in this time!

After using a SUUUUUUUPER legit copy of Photoshop CS5 for years, I finally bought Clip Studio Paint, and ye gods... such amazing features for such a reasonable price tag (especially since I got it 60% off). Tried out the poseable 3-D drawing figures to get the pose and lighting right.

Barbatos X Chastille + Zagan coloring comms

😢 can’t believe this really over man. One of the biggest surprises of the season. Need another season for sure. But I’ll def check out the LN

Finale had everything that makes this such a special watch! Valefor fully incorporated into Zagan and Nephy’s home as their daughter now. Even the townspeople can’t help but comment on how cute they are. Given everything both she and Nephy have been through I’m so happy they have a place where they belong and are loved.

Seeing the whole cast together for a final meal was perfect! Raphael as a butler considering how powerful and high ranking a knight he was seems weird, but at the same time feels like he was made for it lol. Chastille looking gorgeous as per, but the fact Barbatos has to watch over her constantly because she’s clumsy was so funny!

Zagan is so kind and wants all the people he cares about taken care of, and with good reason tbf. Without that Barbatos security detail, Chastille would probably be dead from any number of things now lol. Including her cooking which according to Nephy is as bad as the muddy water she used to have to drink as a slave lmao

Serving it to Barbatos after he wouldn’t shut up talking shit about Chastille was brilliant. I feel like they’re setting up he and Chastille as a ship.. never sensed chemistry from them before, but I could see it after this one.

“Their long story has only just begun” 😭 beautiful final scene man. Zagan and Nephy are just perfect for one another and found each other at the perfect time. Zagan’s really come out of his shell and opened his heart to the world thanks to her. He looks so happy finally.

I’m gonna miss this so much 😩

thinking ab Chastille and Barbatos again and how he bashes his head against the wall whenever he's overcome with intense feelings of affection and like

after they start dating he's still doing it and it takes him awhile, as he's one of those touch starved-touch replused types due to the way he was raised etc., but he eventually starts like, figuring out how to express his affection by taking her hand, hugging, kissing, and im just like

here? he gets overwhelmed by her making him lunch and bashes his head into the coffee table.

and im sitting here like "in the future he'll just kiss her, that's crazy"

and the comedic value of it? god there's a well of potential
