Cheap as chips but nowhere near as tasty, Dead Man Walking (1988) is an interesting action (?) sci-fi (??) relic of the VHS era that artist/funny person Raine helped me decipher. The film is no masterpiece but it does feature some primo Nervous Jeff, Manhandled Jeff, Sassy Jeff and Wings Hauser. Plus, probably the worst kissing scene in cinema! Cool! Set down those erotic thrillers and give it a listen.

Still, he had always hoped that when they did meet again he would show Luger he had become a braver man… So much for that.

After escaping from UNITUS and leaking the information about the cure, Luger and Chaz, newly reunited, are on the run through the Plaguezone. When a storm forces them to stop for the night, they finally discuss the feelings that have been unspoken between them. (Follow up to "don't go (without me)" from Luger's POV)

Dead Man Walking is a movie that deserved a bigger budget and more script tinkering to fulfill its doomed cypersuicide future and homoerotic roadtrip gone awry dreams.

Could you imagine if it was a citypunk instead of taking place near entirely in a desert lol. Big splattering sets filled with decay and an upper crust ruling class that drank their champagne, toasted to the inevitable end of the disease in the following year, as long as the sick remained outside. I would have liked to see the difference in the infrastructure for those who were sick. And those who were not.

It would have made the juxtaposition between how sheltered Chaz was compared to Luger more erotic.
