Listen Kai I've had this rolling around in my head for some time but was too shy to say anything until now...Hymn and Chenhua, the fish and the fox ;;

Like obv they'd be friends first and get to know one another and develop but she'd love to show him how to plant flowers and share all of her different interests with him and I think he would like to share things about the ocean with her and I just think they'd be really sweet QvQ

Just like Wasp and Luna, i ADORE that they have such a big height difference--and SIZE too, since she's kinda small framed and Hymn is BIG BEEFY FISH MAN. Their personality dynamics are really similar to our megaman OCs too....do we just have a ship trope??? XD

Maybe one day i'll get into HSR and make a verse for Hymn (ive considered one for Yue), but until then they can have an interdimensional slow-burn romance <3

The iron scent of the blood was pungent in the air, and Chenhua's eyes widened, pupils shrinking into slits at Eros' behavior. He looked so scared, like a cornered animal, and he said that the blood wasn't his? Just what happened here?

"Eros...?" She spoke his name with deep concern, ears flattening against her head as she held her hands to her chest. The Foxian didn't want to make her friend more afraid than he already was, and so she stayed put. "It's ok. Please... just tell me what's wrong."

"'m jus' sayin' I think that if they came near me, I'd sooner through 'em out th' window th'n actually try 'em, y'know? Like don't do that t' me." He's been going off on a tangent about some new food stall. About how odd the food looks. He's certainly a man that needs things to look even a little appetizing before he actually eats them.

And he's been going on like this for at least fifteen minutes. Seems he is...very passionate about the food in aurum alley.

Hymn felt fingers brushing over his face near his lips, and in a knee jerk reaction, shot out his hand to forcefully grab the hand they belonged to. Eyes sharpened like daggers, golden eyes cold despite looking like liquid gold, quickly softened again when he realized who he was looking at.

"I..."

Hymn was immediately apologetic, a guilty look on his face as his gaze was cast downward. He let go of her hand, balling his own into a fist on his lap.

"I am, terribly sorry Chenhua." He frowned. "I was lost in my thoughts. I didn't realize....i, didn't mean to frighten you."

Caelus has no idea why he's so nervous, but he'll fight through it so he can get some answers. If it gets him confirmation or clarity, he's willing to put up with being awkward.

Hymn had just finished some errands for his bosses, hands holding a couple shopping bags each. He was waiting at a crosswalk for the light to turn when Chenhua approached him. Gold eyes shifted over to look at her, his head turning to follow suit soon after.

"....You may." He answered, voice deep and rumbling. "Where are you going?"

"Chenhua, you helluva lady! Make a lil room today! We're giving your appetite the adventure it deserves!"

"That's always the excuse, isn't it?" She retorted, her sad and upset tone slightly muffled by the blankets. "Losing track of time doesn't mean that you push yourself to the point that your friend finds you unresponsive on the floor and can't wake you up, Yingxing."

His touch on her ear was so warm. So gentle. Yingxing had always been like this towards her, ever since they first met so many months ago. So why, she thought... why couldn't he ever be gentle with himself, too? Chenhua knew of his past, of how he had grown up when the war against the Abundance was at its most severe, and of how everything he had ever known and cherished had been ripped from him all those centuries ago. If anyone deserved to find peace in this life, it was Yingxing, and it pained her to see that he was still hurting himself in this way.

Slowly, Chenhua pushed herself off to sit upright in her seat, shuffling the chair to be right up against the bed, and both of her hands moving to grasp Yingxing's as if afraid it would slip away from her. Her gaze was desperate and pleading, her emotions on full display before him as hot tears continued their descent down her sweet face.

"I... I hate seeing you like this, Yingxing. Overworking yourself like this? It's not normal." She took in a shaky breath, squeezing her eyes shut for a moment. So many emotions had boiled up to the surface, including ones Chenhua had been too bashful to admit. But right now, at this present moment, she felt like she had no choice. Yingxing needed to know exactly how she felt. Marigold eyes opened once again, and her next words were spoken softly.

"I... I love you too much to see you destroy yourself like this..."

"Hmm. Hard question, yeah? I wouldn't know where to start..." Rook puts his fingers to his chin and tilts his head, looking very thoughtful.

If he makes a list of things he like in his head, he can break it down and explain why they're his favorites. Nodding to himself, he is ready to answer the question!

"I know they're pretty common nowadays, but the robots here are nice to look at. There's even a cute fluffy robot dog running around on their little paws! They even found me once while I was playing hide and seek with them and a few other kids. Oh! I do love the vehicles, ehhh- Starskiffs! The flying ships they got here. It's nice and fast," Rook pauses, suddenly remembering something important. He turns a little sheepish and adds, "Uh...I almost got in trouble with the law for reckless driving. Sorry about that, Chenhua. I'm really sorry! I told her I make it up for it."

"But I gotta admit, it's quite a sight to see in the air. I bet Madame and her goons wouldn't believe me if I told them all of this! They call me a lunatic, a nut, and a sci-fi nut. They haven't seen crazy until they meet...Uh, nevermind." Waving away any questions about it, Rook ponders more about what he likes about the Luofu. Or his favorite things.

"Food wise...I visited Aurum Alley to try their delicacies. It's pretty good, and I'm not a picky eater. The spice is at an A-Okay level, but I sometimes crave for a bit more heat. I tried Boss Du flaming potent tea. Pretty hot but I did ask if he had anything hotter and he served me one of his test recipes for a new tea he's developing. The spicy kick is just the right amount I needed! He looked happy about my review and told me I was welcome to come back for more!" Rook grins, fondly remembering the test recipe of a super hot tea from Du Teahouse. Nothing crazy happened there, but the people who stared at him after drinking that tea might be concerning enough.

"I think that's all for now. I'll let you know if anything new becomes my favorite."
