||NGL- I haven't been feeling up much to doing anything lately outside of work/family that isn't gaming and doom scrolling. I want to write but then...laziness hits or I get distracted too easily. I know recent irl events lately didn't help me but I feel like it has been going on longer.

I think its best to say I'm keeping this blog on low-activity to no activity side unless motivation hits me out of the blue. Crack posts I am fine with cause no need to brain too hard with it. I am very sorry for peeps who are waiting for a response since my slow ass has been slower than usual. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

||Sometimes I think about that the concept of romantic love is terrifying for Dan Feng. It's not the case of just he doesn't realize he's in love until after the fact. But how deeply it runs in his veins and leaves a void in his heart aching to be filled by that person alone.

He knows his love is unhealthy. The need to have that person within his sight at all times. A possessive hand on them or tail curling around their ankles. To want to be their everything in ways he hasn't thought about before. It's obsessive, addicting, and horribly unhealthy.

Dan Feng doesn't want to think about how far he will go just to make sure they're safe. And what happens if they die right in front of him.

It's not good. Never good thoughts.

And he doesn't want to scare them, to see fear and disgust in their eyes if they look at him. So Dan Feng does his best to curb such thoughts and instinctive needs to overwhelm them with his love.

He is understanding, patient, and respectful of their need for personal space. He will dote on them and care for them, and make sure they are beloved by him. He wants them to know he loves them and let him know you feel the same in return. Then maybe the thoughts running through his head will stop when the void in his heart is filled...

I do love the fact we're seeing more of Dan Heng again. And being reminded that while he prefers to resolve things peacefully, he will not take shit lying down and reminds us why he is still a powerful fighter. Like damn THIS CONFIDENCE HE IS SHOWING, THE CLAWS AND FANGS ARE COMING OUT

Not only we find out Dan Heng has been researching Amphoreus myths/history, including Aquila, because he is trying to look for a way to contact the Express- He was busy learning from Phagousa Priests the secret art of using water per Hyacine suggestion! And by Hyacine reaction, she is impressed by the results of Dan Heng practice to the point he can open a path to the Vortex of Genesis

I should look into more lore outside of quests, or revisit stuff because it's interesting how Dan Heng says he needs the spirit water to be able to use Phagousa techniques. He did comment Amphoreus waters is untamed compared to his homeland (Xianzhou) which is due to Phagousa fickle nature. Adding it isn't as stable as the basin.

Dan Heng, even without transforming, has shown to be able to command water even if the finer controls (like the time he used cloudhymn magic to clean the express) still needs some work. I do believe it is Amphoreus nature and Phagousa who rules over the sea that gives him struggle to subdue it. Not only it is not Xianzhou waters, but it implies further he is an outsider- not part of Amphoreus. I do like the detail that while he is very capable in this area (indicated by Hyacine reaction) there is still some limits for now that he needs time to master, especially in an area of strength that he is familiar with.

In regards to the cutscene of Dan Heng transforming and summoning water, it does give a few things in mind especially since everything was SUPER CHAOTIC.

1) The spirit water is a key specifically needed for Dan Heng to open a path to the Vortex of Genesis. It is possible to open to other destinations as well. Not only that, but it acts as a catalyst to help smooth his connection to Amphoreus waters and command them.

2) Dan Heng can control Amphoreus waters without the spirt water BUT it will take more effort on his end. It's akin to brute-forcing his way and forcing them into his bidding. Hence why he prefers to use waters he has on his person or find connections that isn't influenced by Phagosa. If he wasn't High Elder, it would be...immensely difficult to attempt to do so.

3) In regards to the cutscene, Dan Heng has mentioned he felt his connection to the Amphoreus waters was cut off. Whether this implies it is dormant/Phagousa no longer has any influence for now, I do think this means Dan Heng can control it without it trying to fight back at him. The only thing he cannot do is open a path as the key he needed has ran out, and even if so the waters of Amphoreus will not listen. So I think with it being as it is at the moment, and added with Dan Heng no longer holding back (transform into Imbibitor Lunae), he is able to exert more control just to prevent Flame Reaver from reaching his friends. ;;w;;

Though now with the influence of black tide being stronger, I do like to entertain the possibility of the waters (under black tide influence) fighting back against Dan Heng. That's why we see him so raggard and struggling, and like yes we know Flame Reaver absurdly strong with no idea of their limits so it's a fun thougbt to think about.

Annndd that is all of my thoughts for now that is subject to change.
