“this is horrible.” chenle furrows his eyebrows in frustration; his hands continue to clumsily wave through the tangled mess of wires that make up your christmas lights. “i can’t believe you convinced me to do this. next year i’ll buy you one of those pre-decorated christmas trees so i don’t have to go through this again.”

“but doing it together is what makes it fun!” you bite back a laugh as more poorly silenced grumbles fall from the man’s lips. daegal sits beside you; her tail incessantly drags on the floor as she joins you in excitedly watching chenle struggle with the lump of led lights and dusty boxes of ornaments you had dragged into your living room. 

standing from your previous position on the couch, daegal trots after you as you reach down to grab the forgotten end of the lights. she weaves in between you and chenle as you twist around the tree in tandem until it’s finally covered in what looks like hundreds of little glowing stars decorating the grand fir in your living room.

stepping back, you wrap your arms around chenle’s waist. a soft sigh escapes him as you lean your head against his shoulder blades. “thank you for setting up the tree, lele. it looks beautiful.” 

“not as beautiful as you,” he teases, twisting around to face you. his hands rest comfortably on your hips as you lean in, pressing a thankful kiss against his lips. chenle is quick to react, reaching up to cup your cheek with his hand and deepening the kiss. 

a soft flush lingers on both of your cheeks when you pull away, tugging him with you until you’re both laying on your couch. your head rests against his shoulder; your legs slightly intertwined. 

“there’s tinsel everywhere,” chenle murmurs, though his words lack any real venom. daegal’s paws dig into your legs as she carelessly steps across your bodies before finally settling to lay in the small space between the two of you. 

you chuckle, reaching around her to rest your hand on chenle’s waist. he reaches around you, carefully wrapping a blanket around your legs. “we can clean it later. i just wanna nap with you right now.”

he hums, leaning down to press a kiss against your forehead. “whatever you want, baby.”

“But, why are you here then? It must have been at least a 20 minute walk.” You pouted when he took your bag from your hand.

“So? Daegal needed a walk and we need to get groceries on the way as well.” He shrugged and let Daegal down to hold your hand instead.

“Did you walk all the way over here just to walk together back to you?” You asked while locking your door and following him out of your apartment complex.

chenle: hand over your shoulder. while walking or talking with friends. your hands are always intertwined. he likes it better when you use your opposite hand over your shoulder because that way he can play absentmindedly thumb wrestling. the gesture is relaxed, but you know there is a certain quality of possessiveness in it.

jaemin: waist. very conventional, very romantic, but when he does, he usually puts a few of his fingers under the fabric for physical contact. absentmindedly fiddles with the hem of your shirts or just holds you firmly. he gets very used to do it, sometimes he doesn't keep in mind his hands might be too cold for your skin.

thinking about gamer bf!chenle…

the sun had set long ago, leaving only the rainbow led lights decorating chenle’s pc to illuminate your shared dorm room. his arms rest lazily wrapped around your waist; his chin is perched to rest gently against your shoulder. you shiver when he occasionally leans down to press feather-light kisses against your skin. 

chenle’s voice is soft when it cuts through the tranquil quiet of your room, only broken by his raspy whispers of which direction you should travel in or which controls to use. his fingertips occasionally tap along to a silent melody against your hips. 

chenle leans back in his chair, gently tugging you backwards until your back is pressed fully against his chest. you sigh softly when his fingertips slip just underneath the stolen t-shirt covering your body to unconsciously trace unidentifiable shapes into your skin. 

he halfheartedly watches as you continue to progress through the game, only occasionally speaking up to quip about your performance and chuckling when he’s met with a snarky rebuttal in return. eventually chenle falls completely silent. he can feel his attention slowly slipping away from the game - the hd quality graphics being forgotten in favour of watching your reactions. 

smiling to himself, he almost misses it entirely when you twist around to face him. “you’re quiet.” you playfully narrow your eyes, letting the upcoming boss fight be momentarily ignored. “too quiet. what’s wrong?”

“nothing,” chenle simply shakes his head before leaning in to quickly steal a kiss. “i’m glad you’re having fun.”

you raise a hand to cup chenle’s cheek, gently stroking your thumb against his soft skin before leaning in to steal a sweet kiss of your own. “having you here makes it even better.”

The feeling of your boyfriend's lips tickles your whole face “morning sleepyhead” Chenle mutters brushing baby hairs out of your face. His heart swelled in adoration at your disvelished state swollen cheeks, messy hair, pouty lips, and your limbs searching for his warmth under the covers on that crisp fall morning “Have I ever told you I love you” he wondered out loud “Maybe but I can't really recall” you teased nuzzling your face in the crook of his neck breathing in his scent. Chenle softly grabbed her chin forcing her to direct all her attention to him “I love you so much it scares me”.

He admitted a bit shy, she answered with a soft kiss that was deposited on the Chinese's lips, to what he could get enough (he never seemed to) so he put a hand at her nape bringing her closer, if it was even possible, gently biting down her lips a habit of his she could grow addicted, they pulled away as their lungs were begging for air.

“I love you” she muttered against his lips making him melt in the process, kissing her again something he grew addicted to. Nipping at her lips that somehow always managed to taste sweet. His tongue slightly teased her as he softly licked her lips while his hands freely roamed all over her body finally settling on her waist and bringing her even closer.

They pulled away since their lungs were screaming for oxygen, and their bed shifted at the feeling of someone's weight, when they realized it was their bichon puppy, daegal, the whole room erupted in smiles. As the puppy climbed up to where their faces were Chenle cooed “hi Daegal hi baby did you sleep well?” when he noticed Daegal was trying to find her mom he helped her and lifted de duvet where you were hiding for warmth

“Look Daegal, it's the prettiest girl ever” a blush made its way to your cheeks before hiding on Chenle’s chest while Daegal yapped almost begging for attention and pets, you pulled away from your lover, and the puppy nestled between the both of you making herself comfortable before chenle started “we should get up” to what you slowly muttered “5 more minutes” and went back to cuddling daegal so he just enjoyed the moment and let you have your 5 more minutes.

Chenle's lip curled. "I knew she would say ye-" He froze. For a fraction of a second, hurt flickered over his handsome face. He quickly fixed his expression. 

"Interesting. Why do you say that?" Chenle asked, a little too coolly.

"What a rubbish promposal. I'm not that desperate..." you said, a twinkle in your eye. 

Chenle touched his chin, thinking. "Would a... bouquet of flowers change things?" Chenle asked.

You stepped towards him. "Plus a Cadbury milk tray - and a limousine to pick me up."

"I'll pick you up in my mum's car?"

You stepped closer, so you were almost touching. 

"Limousine," you insisted.

Chenle rolled his eyes. "Fine."

"And-" you said, heart racing, drunk on your own victory, "You have to kiss me right now." 

Chenle looked back at his audience. He started laughing like what you'd said was the funniest joke ever. Your heart splintered. You should have known you'd pushed him too far. 

You'd been in love with Chenle ever since the mysterious exchange student showed up at your college three months ago. And now, you'd lost your one chance with him...

Then, Chenle looked back at you, his brown eyes so unreadable they could have been painted.

"Perhaps it's time for me to do something out of character,” he said. 

And surprising everyone, Chenle stepped forwards and pressed a kiss to your lips. 

You were too stunned to react, unable to comprehend how close he was to you. Your pulse thudded in your ears.

The kiss was so sweet but so brief. Although the kiss was the kind most people gave their friends, you knew it was rare tenderness coming from Chenle.

You would rather have that kiss than a hundred passionate kisses from any other boy in college.

Chenle removed one hand from his pocket and stretched it at you. "Well?"

You grinned. "I'm not convinced... You may need to kiss me again."

Chenle roared something incoherent at you, his face reddening, as he ran to meet the rest of his friends.

You could not stop smiling. 

Chenle's heart was yours after all, and it was the most delicious feeling in the world.

“It’s too early, right?” Chenle asked Daegal who just wagged her tail and barked before running after you: “why are you both so active in the morning.”

He fell back into bed, hoping to get just a few more minutes. But all he got was thirty seconds before you plopped down on him, and Daegal licking his face.

“Come on, the day is perfect for a morning walk with your two favourite people in the world!”

“And who would that be?” Chenle asked with a small smile, teasing you.

“We’re leaving in five, get ready.” You laughed and gave his lips a small peck.

“Fine, only because I love you.”
