Sometimes I remember that when Mob was 3 Reigen was 17 and Reigen makes a lot more sense to me lol

#it’s easy to forget his age until you Are his age but he’s pretty young and acts it #(except when he’s around the kids then he tries to act older and responsible)#and also his specific brand of depression hits Hard with post graduate depression where you thought you would do things and ended up a cog #this is why I’m subscribed to he’s a big brother to mob but it’s a bit blurry in areas because he acts more fatherly to Teru or even Tome #(tbh it depends on ‘how supervised is this child’ to me)#(because I am pretty sure he knows mob’s parents at Least in passing- he would ask if mob’s parents knew he was coming to S&S lol)#mob psycho 100 #misty rambles

#mob psycho 100 #mp100 #reigen arataka #hanazawa teruki #suzuki shou #serizawa katsuya #reigen realized three of his espers have never been on a good ol' fashion camping trip in the mountains #shigeo and ritsu are chillin in the tent bc at home they are always the Little Camp Helpers and with shou and teru here #now they don't have to be. they get to experience the full peaceful laze of relaxing til food is done while their friends #develop healthy relationships with adults :^)#I DO THINK IT WOULD BE FUNNY IF #Reigen hasn't gone camping since he himself was a kid #and Serizawa when he said he hasn't gone camping he actually meant In Adulthood. he too had gone at least once as a child #but they had both been around 10 years old #so in fact Ritsu and Mob have THE MOST camping experience and the most recent camping experience out of all of Spirits and Such.#also reigen gets poison ivy by the end of the trip sorry i don't make the rules #i also need everyone to know shou takes a whole bite out of that raw sweet potato and he eats it and it is a moment of #friendship and connection. he and teru now have an unspeakable bond of ''this guy will do anything huh'' and they are best friends after #ok bye

I think of Nightjar Teru as an Issho Teru that I plucked out of the hospital in chapter 6 and threw into a jar of vinegar. Shook him up and pickled him. When I let him out I gave him a can of bear mace.

even with Teru's parents I get very frustrated at how much ppl bend over backwards to make them these flat caricatures of neglectfulness. they suck! everyone can agree that they suck! but just once I would like to read a fic where they suck in a way that feels like it belongs in Mob Psycho.

#mob talk #conceptually i am very interested in teru-centric fics #bc he's a really interesting character (and one who clearly still has a lot of growing up to do post-canon)#but in practice i find most of them super disappointing #they feel like a paint-by-numbers of how a neglected child Should Be Feeling #and not at all like *Teru*#or like something that fits with the actual show
