Christmas reply from the Queen and Prince Philip! 

Slightly different wording, same general idea as usual. 

The usual response from the Queen and Philip arrived in response to my Christmas letter. 

The wording is slightly different from last year. Some words have been rearranged (it reminds me of trying to copy something for an essay and changing a sentence haha!). 

One of the changes is this year it mentions special celebrations not only for them but “their family” as well. This makes sense since so many things are happening with grandchildren (babies and engagements) and nothing in particular happened to Elizabeth or Philip (unlike 2016 when Elizabeth celebrated her 90th birthday). 

Usually letters from the Queen are signed by a secretary, or at least a name is typed at the bottom. But neither this year nor last year’s Christmas reply featured any names. 

One thing I miss from last year’s reply was the Queen sending her wishes back. This year there was no mention of that, only that my writing was appreciated (Which is still lovely). 

The full letter can be seen below. It is standard letter size, as usual from the Queen.
