ALSO ! ! !     Le Jardin is also the home to the Cerf Fleur , a special supernatural race of deer .   Considering that deer are sacred animals to Chrysanthemum .     They’re not your usual type of deer considering they’re a type of earth elemental spirits , they’re made of flora and they bleed of sap .    Cerf Fleurs normally have honey / tawny colored fur .     For the males , their horns are made out of flowering branches , either flowers or leaves grow from their horns and vines often creep around their hooves .    For the doe , they grow and sprout flowers all over their fur .      You are not allowed to pull , pluck , or remove the plants around these creatures because it will hurt them and they will become hostile .    

The Cerf Fleurs are guardians and protectors with healing powers and properties , especially they’re known to protect and guide lost children .    Some of these deers venture to the human realm to laniaturas or human children , but they often return to the forests of Jardin .    Any harm that comes to the deer will meet the ire of Chrysanthemum and her members .     If you happen to kill one of these deers , it is considered a major offense to the deities of Natura to harm the sacred creatures of a Goddess , therefore earning you an instant imprisonment to the pits of La Desolee .     So far , the only ones who have received this capital punishment are human hunters .

After all these little hints about Teldryn's feelings towards Chry throughout the fic, were you thinking of a romance with him at some point in the story instead of Miraak ? I know it was supposed to be a LDB/Miraak fic but at some point, I was "Wait a minute... sentimental drama ? More likely than you think !". I'm curious about this direction you took for Teldryn

So, it's all open to interpretation of course, but in my head Teldryn is in love with Chrysanthe, and has been for ages. Hard to travel with another doom-prophecy hero and not fall in love, tbh.

However, a love triangle was never particularly on the cards. It's worth bearing in mind that the day he met Chry, Chry had come to Solstheim specifically to look for Miraak, i.e. since day one Teldryn has known that Chry doesn't and could never feel the same. Their soulmates vibe is quite obvious, so Teldryn also knows that if he ever gave an ultimatum between him and Miraak, Chry would absolutely choose Miraak. He can't win the love triangle game, so he just doesn't play.

I originally wrote a whole love confession that was along the lines of 'I love you and I know you can't love me back the same way but I had to tell you', but on reflection it felt a bit... juvenile? Teldryn is very mature, so I think he could put his wistful feelings aside and be happy with what he has. He does pretty much tell Chry that he loves him and will be there for him no matter what, with no expectation that this would involve actual romance, or Chry having to pick one over the other. To him, the love isn't worth less for being platonic.

Also he does get the appeal of golden masked eldritch abomination men ;)

“Cryptic sighting picture vibes… but putting that aside! Fire prophet pants always look cool and make an outfit lean towards the ikemen serious vibe, added along with cracked mask and witch hat, it has a general mysterious feel. I had seen The Hunger Games ones and thought? You know what would be more fun? Putting the moot's ocs in a REALITY TV competition show

Alethea, Hugo, Hurrl, And Lilith enter the house. The competition is tough, but ultimately; Lilith and Alethea make it through to the next round!!

The next group to enter the house consists of: Colin, Kalani, Ronny and Wolfgang. Somehow every member manages to slip and fall and Ronny makes it through to the next round.

Once Ronny celebrates his AMAZING win, Archer, Ick, Jilly, and Tantrum enter the house. Tantrum ACED the table maze quickly and advanced in the competition.

The last four to enter the house are Chrysalis, Grey, Squirrel, and Vesper. The two houseguests with the quickest time were Chrys and Squirrel.

"The players who made it to the final round competed for one-by-one in a live competition. The HouseGuests would each have to race across a series of pedestals and make it to the other side of the yard, locking in their time with a buzzer. Some of these pedestals were not sturdy. If a HouseGuest fell off a pedestal, they would have to restart. The HouseGuest to complete the course in the fastest time would be the new Head of Household."

Lilith won the first HOH of the season

Unfortunately, the houseguests who competed in part two of the HOH competition had to choose a Mystery Punishment from unmarked envelopes. 😞

Althea, Squirrel, Tantrum, and Ronny all become have-nots. This means they'll sleep in the Have-Not-Room (uncomfy beds, terribly decorated) take cold showers, and only be allowed to eat SLOP for a whole week 🫢 And Chrys won $5000 because of course, she would 🙄 BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE "HouseGuests have the opportunity to compete for immunity in the Safety Suite competition in the week of their choice during the first three weeks. The winner of the competition can also grant immunity to one other HouseGuest, who will receive a punishment."

Grey, Hugo, and Hurrl competed in the first week's Safety Suite, this means they CAN NOT participate in the Safety Suites moving forward! Hugo pulled out the win and chose to share his immunity with Kalani. This means neither of them are eligible for eviction this week! Unfortunately, since Hugo chose to share the power with Kalani, she is now forced to wear a star-shaped mascot costume, complete with comically large white gloves for the remainder of the week.

AT THE NOMINATION CEREMONY:

The week had just begun, was Lilith ready to make a big move?

Lilith, Hugo, Althea, Jilly, Vesper, and Chrys compete in the veto competition. Whoever wins is given the chance to veto one of the HOH's nominees.

tell me about your worst guy

ok a summary of the campaign and what has happened so far, as quick as I can. the campaign is based on the life series started by Grian Minecraft (the irl guy) - tldr all the PCs plus a handful of NPCs are in a death game (kind of think the hunger games in terms of how much space they have. but add minecraft mechanics) and they each have a limited amount of lives; once they reach their last life (red), they get to/have to start killing people. last person standing is the winner. to make things more silly goofy, there is also the boogeyman mechanic, where at least one person per session is chosen to be the "boogeyman" and they have to kill another player or else lose all but their last life at the end of the session.

there are also these beings called the watchers. if you don't know what they are, think angels who love watching people Go Through It in these life games. Aphim is a watcher, but a disgraced one - this game is his last chance to redeem himself. so he NEEDS to win. additionally, he has been told that he has to kill Beau, an NPC who has been in the games previously, was formerly a watcher (which Aphim. dubiously knows in canon? I don't remember), and is currently trying to stop the games from continuing. also he and Aphim are uh. how do I say this. homosexual. Beau is trying to seduce Aphim away from the watchers and Aphim has no fucking clue how to feel about it because he has never been flirted with before. especially not by a hot man. anyway

something you need to know about Aphim is that his normal form, his watcher form, is nowhere near human. he is towering and winged and has far too many eyes and a few too many joints and when he does not need a contained physical form he does not really have one. imagine a desolate, snowy forest of birch. he is the trees and their eye-like knots and the blanket of snow and the spaces between and the void above and the distant stars. that is Who He Is. but for the game he has to be contained in a human form and he Hates It. there is nothing he loathes more. it's like gender dysphoria but for what kind of thing he is. the only thing he loathes nearly as much is the thought of losing his power and autonomy, which is what will happen if he fails the watchers.

and every time he fails to kill Beau, even though he's not red yet and so by the rules of the watchers' game can't yet kill Beau, the watchers threaten his wings. which he obviously is not a huge fan of. so even though he is very intrigued by Beau and what Beau's trying to tell him, the selfishness will always win out.

cut to the most recent session. boogeyman is rolled. the gang [Aphim, Beau, Orla (NPC), Carwyn (Mura's PC), and Apate (Laurie's PC) wakes up to find Synne (NPC who is someone from the real world isekaied into the game. funny as hell) gone. they go to look for Synne. Synne comes out of the bushes trying to attack Beau; Apate and Aphim (who, by the way, hate each other so bad - Apate has a lot of watcher trauma to work through and Aphim just finds her annoying) notice first. Apate (who has also latched onto Beau as a way out of her Literal Trauma Cycle) goes straight to trying to attack Synne. Aphim disarms Synne.

meanwhile, halfway across the map, Arsené (Ophelia's PC) and Achlys (Chrys's PC) both notice a Very Bad Vibe Shift in, like, the fabric of the universe. something is about to go so horribly wrong.

Synne lunges for Beau's throat but Orla blocks Synne; Beau briefly restrains Synne. the moment they touch, Aphim is hit with a wash of pain so bad his entire body just goes numb. it's the feeling he gets when the watchers summon him from the game to talk to him but far, far worse.

which is the bigger threat right now? Synne or Beau?

obviously, Orla and Apate do not take kindly to this. in fact, they end up killing him about it LMAO (also, side note. all Beau did was push the axe further in. which was INSANE) (he didn't die; Arsené, Achlys, and their allies showed up and helped him). so he's on his second to last life right now

before he respawned, he had a vision where aforementioned Grian Minecraft (the character, this time) (he is also a former watcher) went hey bud. maybe think about what you really want. the watchers will fuck you up. and Aphim (digging his teeth into his monstrousness so hard it'll hurt) basically went hm. no 💛

and then he was also briefly back in the white space where the watchers summon him to talk. and all he felt was their towering presences and disappointment. and then he respawned. so obviously he is going to be so normal about all of this next session,

Copper Benoit- He has a couple of self-destructive behaviors when he first comes to NRC that I think get addressed pretty quickly, those being binge-eating and under-eating (as a result of years of food insecurity) and binding his chest incorrectly (as a result of never being properly taught.) Since he's sorted into Pomefiore, the Pomefiore trio as well as @tixdixl 's Pomefiore boy, Emil, really help him with those particular challenges. His self-deprecating thoughts take a little longer to overcome and a lot of love and patience on the parts of his dormmates, friends, and Kalim. His maladaptive response to fear however (that impulse to react to whatever frightens him by trying to further aggravate it to see how much worse the situation can get,) might never go away.

Wei Renqiao- I'm...not entirely sure what his self-destructive behaviors are, per se. Any time he starts to show signs of neglecting his physical or mental-emotional health, he's usually got his little Ignihyde found family to remind him to take care of himself. The most self-destructive thing I can think of that he might do is constantly tell himself he doesn't need or deserve happiness. He can just be content with his meeting his end goals and doing things for others, why should he think he deserves to be happy? He can be perfectly content just being useful and appreciating what good moments do come his way. (Ren. Buddy. Pal. I think you and I need to have a talk.)

Chrysanthos Shroud- Ppppppppfffffffffttttt, H A. So Chrys was absolutely self-destructive when he was attending NRC. His life prior was very good and he was extremely happy (barring the tragedy with his cousins and how that also impacted him,) but he did NOT adapt well to life at NRC, much less to being sorted into Octavinelle instead of Ignihyde. Recklessly racing blastcycles, intentionally avoiding making friends with almost anyone else, overworking himself, under-eating, taking up chain-smoking underage, he was on a path to complete self-destruction. And it caught up with him and he was genuinely lucky he survived to be able to keep attending, to narrowly avoid going into Overblot because he had a professor who cared about him and parents who continually showered him with love and support and help. In the years since his junior year, Chrys went through a lot of healing and growth, and that's arguably the backbone of why he tends to give the students he meets at NRC very blunt but well-intentioned talks about their shortcomings they're unaware of or in denial of. Perhaps it's also the big brother vibe he has, but he doesn't want to see any of them race down that same path he was on. Sometimes getting the truth from a stranger can hurt but it can also save your life, and if anything he says or does can help prevent any NRC students from extreme self-destruction, then he doesn't care how much they may dislike him for being so blunt. (He does still smoke but his relationship with that has changed drastically as well. Ortho still tries to convince him to stop though.)

Chrys doesnt really vibe with skirts

He doesnt fully socially transition all at once after he decided to come out. It was a lot of small baby steps, helped by Amaranth being around to offer emotional support + its easier to be more confident when you have a huge werewolf as your sorta boyfriend fjfnfnfn

So there was a bit of time where he had already cut his hair short but still was wearing skirts in public and mostly still presenting as a woman

how would the LI behave around the mc if they were a single parent?

Andre is more than accommodating for your needs and helping with your kids. He himself not only really loves kids, has a ton of younger cousins, but he also helps at a summer camp across the lake from his own ranch.

Casey is closer to a fun older brother than parent material considering he is only 19 and doesn't have much experience with kids. Anyways he might be a little bit of a pushover and just gives the kid whatever they want, not having the heart to say no. He doesn't mind that you're a single parent and really admires how far you've come though.

Chrys was raised by her dad for 10 years so she knows how hard it is for single parents. Her dad had to raise 5 kids after his wife passed after all. Her chaotic nature dials down by 80% and she is careful- maybe a bit too careful. She wants to help in anyway she can. She wonders how the hell Andre manages to work so well with kids.

David doesn't really care for kids at the moment. Good on you for being a single parent and getting this far...! He doesn't know how to help you though and he DEFINITELY doesn't have the patience for kids. He's pretty awkward when the kids are around but depending on their behavior he might calm down. If the kid is more reserved and quiet, a bookworm type like himself then he'll be calm. If the kid is really energetic and loud he just freezes and tries not to freak out. Now if the kid is pretty artistic, specifically musically inclined... he might lean more towards them. Especially if they like the violin.

Eddie literally has 5 younger kid siblings so he's excited to see you have kids of your own. He also wants to have his own big family so he may or may not adopt your child (metaphorically) before you're even dating. Despite his reckless nature he's pretty careful with the kids and won't hesitate to tell them 'no' when need be. He can sew and crochet so don't be surprised if your kid(s) end up with new handmade toys. They're free though so why worry?

Kieran has very little experience with kids. He might copy the kid's vibes since he doesn't really know what to do. He doesn't mind that you're a single parent- nor does he really think much of it cause he doesn't actually understand what that's like. He might fuck up a bit with trying to help your kid. For example accidentally teaching them curses in other languages. He's probably not the best choice for a babysitter out of the main 8.

Noble practically had to help raise his younger siblings so he relates to you somewhat. He really appreciates it if you let him help especially since he adores children. Similar to Eddie and Andre he wants to have a big family too. Whatever you need or want, he will get it for you. Of course he was going to do that prior to learning about you being a single parent- but it's just a bit more special now. Don't be surprised by how his gifts have multiplied since he keeps finding things that remind him of not only you but your kid(s) too.

Zach has no idea what to do with kids and he would love to help you- so long as you just don't bring them to his place. His place is not kid friendly WHATSOEVER. He tries really hard to help you- he, like Kieran, doesn't know what it's like but he can at least empathize. He might come across as too pushy while trying to help but he means well. Plus he's nervous about it- not because you're a single parent but more so nervous cause he wants to help and impress you.

I think it'd be interesting but between the whole 'becoming High King' thing I can't be sure he has time before and after he's taken over Skyrim lol.

OH and. this is probably not important but I assume Miraak's cultists got the helmet thing for the Jarl of Winterhold? Think it'd be funny if Miraak showed up at Winterhold to him and say ''hey. you got your helmet. pretty nice symbol of power and respect huh? Wrong. I'm gonna take over your lands now. And the Arch-Mage of Winterhold you scoffed at? My husband, idiot.''

Absolutely he would. Miraak deeply enjoys talking about either a) himself or b) topics he's knowledgeable about, and he has a looot of knowledge to share. Not to mention every time he imparts some knowledge he's giving away something that Hermaeus Mora tried very hard to keep for himself (because HM likes hoarding knowledge, not sharing it) which is a great f-you to his jailer. You are right though that he probably doesn't have time after he becomes High King.

I assume Miraak's cultists got the helmet thing for the Jarl of Winterhold?

They sure did, and presented it to the Jarl without Miraak ever being involved at any point, which is a power move in all honesty. Miraak thinks Jarl Korir is a disrespectful idiot, but he's also very easily manipulated and that's exactly what you want in one of your vassals, so he keeps him around... for now. However I thought he would probably force Korir to take over a different province and hand Winterhold to him, so he could rule it alongside the College's Archmage. Rebuild Winterhold into an extremely pro-magic pro-cult town? You bet he does.
